### "My experience with Bullhorn"

I have been using Bullhorn as a Recruiter for over two years and it was truly a positive and quick learning curve. I had no previous experience using any other ATS system, and found BH to have a lot of interactive and useful features right away. It's truly a great way to stay connected with candidates by for example creating tearsheets, and also a great way to stay communicated internally with other Recruiters and Account Managers regarding job updates, candidate updates, interview scheduling, candidate searches, etc.

### "Good Platform"

This is a good platform that is trying to continuously improve its product to keep up with the evolving industry.

Pros

The product is easy to use and navigate from the start. There are some good reports generated once you figure out the "behind the scenes".

Cons

During my time there were a few acquisitions by Bullhorn that were meant to help with automation. The roll-out of the new tools was slow and clunky.

Reason for choosing Bullhorn ATS & CRM

I chose Bullhorn due to its long-standing reputation in the industry.

Pros

Covers all features necessary to run a recruitment business and rarely plays up, if at all. I would not look elsewhere at another platform.

Cons

I would like it to add a text message feature. And possibly bulk texting. Also the duplicate feature seems to miss quite a few applicants. And if an applicant applies for the same job more than one it doesn't pick up on that and merge the submission.

### "Why we chose Bullhorn over the company choice"

Pros

We were encouraged to use a different ATS and chose to pay a little MORE for Bullhorn S for a few reasons: 1. Email is the primary form of communication for many conversations and the ability to be in the database while in Outlook was the number one reason for choosing Bullhorn S 2. Having the ability to create a workflow that matched our needs was a must. We do both direct hire and high volume contracting. We a process that works for both income streams 3. Customer Service - we almost didn't go with Bullhorn because of "rumors" about customer service support. We took the chance and are thrilled that we did. The customer service team usually picks up in a few rings. Even if the first level tech doesn't have the solution, they will get the issue resolved almost always on the first call 4. Set up went very well. The implementation team helped us to configure Outlook and Microsoft Office 365

Cons

Unfortunately the program setup forces you to select creation of emails using either Outlook or within the ATS. We create our emails using Outlook as normal and the emails are logged in the database. BUT if you are doing a mass email or want to use a stored template, it is a little bit of a process to bring up the email editor and to email via the database. That is manageable. The real issue is that often emails sent within the database wind up in SPAM. I have been told that there is NO solution. It means that I must follow up with the email recipient to guarantee receipt.

### "The Simplicity of Bullhorn"

I have used Bullhorn for many years and would absolutely recommend it to a staffing firm who is just getting their feet wet in the industry. It can be a great candidate database if you maintain it well.

Pros

Bullhorn is very user-friendly and perfect for a staffing/recruiting firm who is just starting out and in need of a candidate database. I loved the Distribution List feature, where I could group similar candidates and then mass mail them within minutes. I also appreciated having the ability to see a candidate's entire work history, submissions, interviews, and placements all in 1 page.

Cons

Bullhorn does not have the greatest interface. It also does not have the ability to text candidates. If you are not active in Bullhorn, it will log you out after a few minutes and constantly require you to sign back in.

Bullhorn has a great marketplace partnership approach, with a truly customisable platform that recruitment companies can tailor to their needs and specialisations, and then add-on marketplace tools as full integrations as needed

Cons

Lack of a mobile application, but they have recently announced that this will soon be changing, which is great news for all us on the road recruiters

### "Easy to use / pricy but worth it! "

Bullhorn is helpful and I love being able to access it from anywhere - the pricing is high but again this is the easiest of ATS/CRM that ia available to consumers - which is a good thing!

Pros

Bullhorn is a super user friendly CRm compared to other ATS or CRM software available. We are able to easily integrate job boards and this list of available integrations seems to be growing by the month! My favorite feature is the texting! A lot of people respond to text and the convenience of having it on BH is easier than trying to find other sources (even though integrations are available)

Cons

Bullhorn offers a matching feature and several filtering systems to help identify candidates. I find these to be lacking with room for improvement. You can go to filter out candidates for a warehouse role but could end up with a variety of admin and blank resumes. It is hit and miss but that could even reflect how our data is parsed into the system. I personally have not had much success using this feature.

### "It's OK but some major flaws"

Its OK, better than others out there but has a long way to go before we'd consider it perfect.

Pros

Lots of customization ability, searching is good, work flows are logical. Canvas (the reporting tool) is great.

Cons

Some really basic flaws (contacts can't be moved to new company when they change jobs) and too many different ways to do some actions which causes confusion in the "right" way to do something. CV builder is very basic (no header/footer). Lots of "known issues" that they won't tell you about until you've discovered the problem, wasted time doing the investigation of it, then more time reporting and verify it - only to be told "we know about this issue" GRR!! Also the open API is complex and tricky to use.

Reason for choosing Bullhorn ATS & CRM

Promises. And Adapt was horrific.

Very positive. I have been a recruiter for 15 years and this is one of the best products I have used.

Pros

easy navigation with both jobs and candidates through the recruiting life cycle. I like how easy it is to create reports and customize.

Cons

I really don't have very many complaints. I don't have great luck using the mass email feature. The results often go to the candidates spam folder.

I would say Bullhorn is a fast, easy to use CRM that makes tracking information easier than ever. It's quick to learn and stay organized all in one place. I would recommend companies to use Bullhorn and the other softwares that they offer as well!

Pros

Bullhorn is extremely easy to use and has a great user interface with their clean design. It's a customizable CRM and is extremely useful for both our sales and recruiting teams. Bullhorn also integrates well with a few other softwares that become easy to track within BH so nothing gets lost.

Cons

The only down side is having things fixed quickly. It's easy to email support with your issue and they'll get back with you in 2-3 days, but it might take another week until the issue itself gets fixed unless it's an emergency. Besides that, not many other downsides!

Bullhorn is one of the main tools that we are using to track our candidates. It is also easy to use. One of the best tools I've used so far

Cons

Time scale to deliver changes that require assistance from Bullhorn are too long. It would be good to have a fast track option for minor changes.

It supported all ATS and back office functions with very very few issues and service interruptions.

Pros

I like the work flow and layout of the software. It really makes sense with the recruiting process.

Cons

I do not like how you have to maintain one tab. It took me awhile to get used to not refreshing the tab in Chrome but to press the software refresh button inside of Bullhorn.

The look of the interface is nice, but never did get full use out of the whole system. Probably great for IT staffing, but did not work for a blue collar staffing agency.

Cons

Was not very customizable. Instead of having someone available to you to help with training, they wanted to have you pay thousands of dollars to have someone come out.

We are really looking forward to seeing the Back Office product get a UI facelift. It appears to be a little more outdated than some other platforms. It's pretty easy to use once you learn it though.

I do not use Bullhorn too much but am a big user of Bullhorn Back Office. I am logged in everyday and have utilized almost every functionality available. My biggest issue with this system is the small quirks and glitches. We recently had an issue with employees creating a copy of their timesheet and using PTO that caused the time to not calculate correctly. There was no solution or correction at the time. This is the perfect example of a weird glitch in the system that can be troublesome. Other than those small things, I am very happy with the functionality of Back Office specifically. The ease of use for one system to hold our timesheets, payables, commissions and invoicing makes my job a lot easier as the Accountant and Payroll Manager.

Pros

As noted above in my review, the biggest pro is the ability of the system to hold multiple functionalities for our company.

Cons

As noted in my review, the biggest con is the small glitches/quirks that the system has. It seems in every functionality I could name some sort of glitch that I have experienced.

I like the filters on the tabs so you can drill out what you want and don't want easily.

They don't have a ton of features and everything we want needs to be "custom built" so it gets very expensive.

The ease of search functionality and customer support assistance! Its very easy to view YouTube videos to train new employees.

Pros

What I like most about the product is the functionality and ease of use. You don't have to be a technology pro to navigate through the system and the features are great. If I can name my top three features it would be having the ability to create and manage tasks, an easy and streamlined process of pulling reports to track my metrics, and the integration between several other tools I use for recruiting such as LinkedIn, CareebBuilder, etc.

Cons

Overall the prodcut is great, howevevr greater functionality on a mobile device would make it even better !

So far it’s working well, things that can improve are email templates from sending cvs and interview confirmations, we’re unable to customise out interview confirmations to include all information when it’s sent out

Pros

The idea is great, we love using the ats and call list functionality and are driving this in our business, so far well received.

Cons

Email templates and formatting is an issue, we’re unable to deliver pictures in emails from the ats or call lists which is a real blocker for us and our users aren’t bulk emailing from these apps because of it. We are unable to hide email templates from specific users which causes confusion between our brands. Adding people to call lists in bulk is an issue too, we need to be able to select multiple people and add them to call lists all at once.
