Great way to keep track of records and activity.

Pros

Syncs real time. Shares info with others on my team. The layouts are customizable - like to be able to modify look an feel.

Cons

Security login/logout time is too short. Should be feature that each user can control. Not a big fan of having to reset/clear search criteria every time I do a new search. I would prefer that it automatically default to new search of entire database.

I generally like using Bullhorn and its functionality. Once you figured out how to use it, it's practical and quick. We are a staffing agency with 20 producers and it's fairly easy to customize for Recruiting and Sales. Staying on top of data accuracy and documentation is an issue because a lot of functions have to be done manually. An automation of some kind would be helpful and I can't imagine using Bullhorn efficiently for a larger organization.

Pros

\- Easy to use for a small operation such as ours - Great customer service - Regular updates to the software

Cons

\- New features are rarely communicated and it's difficult to find out what products were added and are available to me (We have Bullhorn S release and lots of functionality is available but I wouldn't know about) - Some type of automation would be needed to make daily processes easier, for example, buttons to track calls vs. having to add a note - Currently no data mining tool available for no cost that would allow to clean up data.

Pros

I've used many different CRMs and found Bullhorn to be my favorite. It took awhile to get adjusted to the interface but once I did I found it to be the most efficient. I loved the tear sheets as a mode for organizing my work. The integration with Outlook was also the most practical and easy to use that I have ever worked with in a CRM.

Cons

I found the customer support to be not as available and helpful as I needed it to be and it is one of the most expensive CRMs that I have encountered

We are a small Staffing form and have used Bullhorn for a few years. In theory a great product but short on delivering on its promises. We needed a web base software to handle our ‘on the road style of working’ so we chose Bullhorn Professional for its promising functionalist and web base approach. We used Outlook before that, in contact folders, a bit clunky but it was effective. Initial Configuration: They rush you out of implementation so they can start billing you the monthly fee rather than ensuring that the initial configuration is done properly. You basically have to create the entire skill data dictionary on your own; there are tons of technical errors in the software connecting to its SQL database. When we ask them to fix it they said, since we are in Canada the errors are Canadian centric that we would have to wait for any fixes. Their third party software developers could not get to it. It took almost 3 years for them to fix it! You basically have to chase them to fix anything and that is exhausting. There have been tons of other issues all poorly handled Technical support: Not effective, they don't take direct calls; wash their hands of problems as soon as they possibly can. They also restrict who can call Technical support which makes no sense. Functionality: Pretty good on the Recruiting side but quite poor on the client CRM side (contact info and that is about it). Best functionality is candidate searches and e-mail send outs to a large distribution list in a personal way to each candidate. Poor integration into Outlook, instructions never works right, almost no proper mobile features that work out of the box; keep having to chase them all the time. Only works with explorer. Web Access: The Bullhorns servers are slow, systems takes forever to handle query and searches. There are days I wish we had just stayed with Outlook contact cards. It was simpler and devoid of nice features but it work properly.

If your needs are straightforward and budget is not an issue, the Bullhorn is likely to make sense for your company.

Pros

Bullhorn is definitely a Grade A system, that's clear. It is reliable, and functionality is robust, as far as candidate funnel and reporting too.

Cons

The cons for Bullhorn are that a) it is expensive and b) it is not at all malleable unless you pay for a higher tier. Bullhorn is not the kind of system where you can just go around changing field names and colors and such - you do things their way.

Out of the box Bullhorn is not that different from any Applicant tracking system. If you can afford all the bells and whistles that they demand you pay extra to have then you have something special

Bullhorn Recruiting is a decent ATS and one of the best, easiest to use and learn. If you can afford all the add ons that they require you purchase separately then all together it is a very impressive ATS

Cons

The fact that you will have to purchase add-on functions in order to get the full benefits of what would be a great ATS.

Bullhorn is very comprehensive and has a lot of functionality for a variety of staffing industries but the cost is quite high, even for the functionality.

Pros

I like how easy it is to customize entity lists (sorting, filtering, searching) and add and remove fields and then export them.

Cons

Built-in reporting leaves a lot to be desired (building reports the pull data from multiple entities at once). It is also not easy to clean up the data (i.e. merge records and identify and correct incomplete or outdated data).

Bullhorn is definitely one of the better CRM softwares available on the market. It has a clean, well-designed interface with plently of features for the average user. The support team a Bullhorn is great; we always had a very good experience with them. As your company grows, this CRM can grow with you but it can get expensive.

Pros

Bullhorn is a well designed platform. The User Interface was my favorite aspect of the design. The functions are easily located and navigable. Everything has a clean, organized appearance with intuitive design.

Cons

Bullhorn lacks some of the functionality of other CRM platforms. For smaller companies, it should be adequate but as our company grew, we found the need for functions such as integrated email and forms building which Bullhorn couldn't offer at a reasonable rate.

Bullhorn has really helped us reduce our time to fill and post time to interview ratios.

Pros

Bullhorn is a recruiter's best friend. It can handle everything from the Job Post, the applicant tracking, candidate communication / scheduling as well as on-boarding. For a large team working on the same position, it allows us to all be on the same page and keep the process moving forward. The customer service is awesome!

Cons

Some of the reporting features aren't as robust as other platforms and Bullhorn isn't one stop for HR, we use other software for benefits, performance evals, etc. With that said I'd rather have the best ATS and work with industry leaders in other areas, a la carte HR!

I highly recommend this product for a full lifecycle recruiter. It is inexpensive and easy to use.

Pros

I love the way BH helps me track where my candidates are with my clients. It is also very easy to see when my customers need more resumes or we are not getting enough response. I also love the way I can organize candidates by job, client or status. It helps me knock out screening calls / submissions very quickly.

Cons

There are times when I am forced to go through a process in a certain way, especially when converting sales. We are a retained search firm and that section is set up for staffing or contingency firms. Also, the resume database search is not very accurate.

As a Recruiter for Indecon Solutions (now Fahrenheit IT) it has been my pleasure to use the Bullhorn system for over five years. The Bullhorn suite allows us to enter all candidates into a system that may be searched by all the recruiters in the company. It also provides the sales staff a way to capture information on all prospects, clients, and job orders. Bullhorn enables our office to track all job orders from client companies and capture all the activity leading up to the placement of a candidate. Over the past five years, we have made several requests to Bullhorn to customize the status statement regarding candidates, because we track them from submission to either placement or rejection by the client. The service staff at Bullhorn has worked with us to make the requested changes so that our version of Bullhorn would be a reflection of how we conduct business and how we prefer to see information regarding our candidates. This enables us to see the history quickly for any candidate when considering them for future opportunities. It also provides better insight as to why a client might select one candidate over another, as the details regarding their submissions and interviews can be easily retrieved and reviewed. Bullhorn is a very flexible system that is easy to use and allows the individual recruiter multiple ways to search for candidates. There have been times when we needed to recover past jobs or candidates and have been able to conduct searches in the system by factors such as a portion of a candidate’s name, job title, client name, or even by a client manager name. Any one of these approaches will result in a select and easy-to-use list that will provide this information. Bullhorn is easy to use, offers complete flexibility in finding and tracking information about jobs and candidates, and has a service staff that has always been very quick in responding to requests for changes to the system.

I would not recommend.

Pros

the customer representative is fantastic and really helped and stopped me from going insane. but I am going to be honest there is not really much i can say that is good about bullhorn. I suppose the only thing i can say is the logo looks good. after 3 months i they finally followed through with what they promised (but is cost me money and time to chase this)

Cons

EVERYTHING! the system is slow and constantly down. Being made promises and refunds due to lack of performance and so on. The just chase and chase you for money but when it comes to them helping you. well that is a different story. I have wasted so much time and effort on this product and on the phone chasing and chasing them with regards to false promises. The system has 3x options which do the same thing, or if you click the obvious option it doesn't work or you have to do this long process to get the task done even tho the obvious option is right in front you.

Bullhorn ATS is easy to use and overall helps keep everything recorded and housed in one spot. As we say in house "If it's not in BH it doesn't exist".

Pros

Easy to use and great UI . It's also easy to customize and tailor to your company's specifics/processes. Great selection of marketplace vendors for easy integration of tools.

Cons

The indeed integrations is not available but pretty sure that's on indeed not you. Sometime connectivity issues occur but those are few and far between.

Unfortunately, Bullhorn no longer allows a fully integrated email, meaning that you'll need to utilize gmail or outlook, making much that was fully automated, only somewhat automated. This contributes to the user having to complete multiple steps along the way where it one was much simpler. Otherwise, they offer a variety of reports and customization. They have partnered with a variety of sites designed to assist in recruiting, social networking etc.

Pros

Bullhorn is cutting edge and very third party recruitment friendly. Their support has improved and they're very responsive with solid customer service.

Cons

They offer no very little pricing flexibility. Too laborious are keypunching and double work because of the email platform change.

It provides all of the functionality that you need for full cycle recruiting in an easy-to-access web interface. The hosted solution also works well for smaller companies.

Cons

The tracking of email communication between recruiters and candidates was always a little weird to me. The software tracks all communication no matter what, which can result in a lot of data and make it difficult to find the information that you need later on.

I think it has served me well, because I bookmark it in my Chrome, and I have never encountered tech, connectivity or loading issues. I felt that it was reliable.

Pros

Bullhorn has been accessible for me in managing my timesheets for my contract working hours. It is easy to use because the interface is simple, straightforward, and all of the necessary fields I need to fill out are clearly visible. I also liked that when I entered my time, I didn't have to specify AM or PM, and I didn't have to manually type in the color for time fractions. Example: for 9:30am, I just typed in 930 and the colon was automatically added. That made it easy!

Cons

I must admit that when filling out my timecard on Bullhorn's time tracking software as a user, there were several repeat fields (such as "working hours" and "meals" and I felt that I needed to delete the unused fields myself manually.

We have been more effective at filling positions since instituting an ATS.

Pros

Bullhorn allows us to keep notes on each candidate we work with as well as a record of which positions they have applied to and any feedback. It helps us to stay organized.

Cons

The system can be a bit clunky at times and frequently logs you out throughout the day, so you are forever entering and re-entering your login credentials. Sometimes the system will actually allow you go through the process of making a change before telling you have been logged out, so then you have to go back and do it all over again. There are also frequent errors with resume parsing.

There is so much functionality for recruiters in here. It makes it so much easier to track communication, know what the team is doing, and share information.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve, we had someone on the team who has used it before and helped set it up and train us internally which was really helpful.
