Pros: I love how flexible the email studio is. I can build emails without a ton of prior coding knowledge, but I can also access the HTML when I need to.

Cons: There's a bit of a learning curve with this, as with all Salesforce products. However, is actually very easy once you manage to learn it completly.

Overall: We are able to message our audiences in a very segmented, one-to-one way. The Marketing Cloud is also nice for us because we are Sales Cloud users. So we do most of our list management through the Sales Cloud, which is where we're most comfortable.

Pros: Salesforce reporting is top notch. It allows me to take a deep dive into any part of the sales process I can imagine

Cons: Some of the more in depth or complicated reports require you to be a SFDC expert to both set up and keep running.

Overall: A cohesive sales process that is held together by Salesforce

Pros: We use Salesforce for an abundant amount of things at my workplace, mainly for help tickets submitted for our software users. Instructure has customized a lot of what we see in Salesforce (views, queues, etc.). Working in a software support position where all tickets are managed through Salesforce, the customizable options make a world of difference in making our agents jobs easier. It's easy to navigate and intuitive.

Cons: As a supervisor over a support team, I handle a lot of requests regarding the routing of tickets and how or why tickets route the way they do. I do still have a lot of confusion about the way tickets are routed but I believe that mainly has to do with the setting for each account we have in Salesforce. There is a learning curve but I just started in this position and have a lot to learn regarding the behaviors in Salesforce. We have a Salesforce Trailhead admin expert that is my go to for all Salesforce questions and he can pretty much resolve every issue that comes up for me. For the most part I find Salesforce very user friendly and intuitive but again, there is always going to new things I can learn to utilize it better.

Pros: Very flexible

Great custom reporting feature
Email and calendar integration is easy with a simple plugin

Cons: It might be too flexible if that makes any sense. Each organization's platform is different so that takes time to get used to. The new version of lightening can be buggy and isn't as intuitive as it could be

Pros: The functionality to be able to send campaigns to personas in a specific list is nice however for the functionality there are many competitive sophomores out there with a better price point.

Cons: Overall this software can be more expensive than one would want to pay for something that can have the same functionality in a pay-as-you-go system. I would say you have to be a medium-sized business to really take advantage of this as an effective price point.

Pros: You can set up detailed information about an account, what they do, buy, sell. You can set up reminders and run analytics. I love how easy it is to share info with the rest of our company. I can see this helping out the entire company. We are still new to the software, so we have a lot to learn. There are a lot of opportunities to expand our current usage. We are probably only utilizing 5% of what Salesforce can do.

Cons: data migrations takes a long time until a support key is triggered, would really need a enhancement here.

Pros: map out your end goals and your internal processes and hierarchy well before beginning implementation, as this will define how you set up the application.

Cons: There seem to be some inconsistencies with the way certain attributes work which sometimes leads you to have to create a customized solution for something that already exists as a standard solution. For example, some of the standard fields do not allow you to set a default value. In these cases, we would have to create a custom field with the same name just to get the functionality that we wanted.

Comments: Think REALLY hard before you choose Salesforece because there are very few options if you chanage your mind (eg you lose your whole years subscription.

Pros: Salesforce has a lot of plugs and additional features (most of which you end up paying for) via the app exchange. So it can do complex things that many CRM's cannot do.

Cons: Where to start. Marketing automation is really poor. The interface has barely been updated in the 6 years that I was a customer. Each year I wanted to change CRM but just didn't have the time to explore my options as the renewal came in my peak period. Emails to Hotmail routinely get blocked because one of their IP addresses is tagged as spam. There is no ability to change to monthly billing OR downgrade. So you are either a customer for a full year each time or you are forced to leave - so choose wisely.

Pros: Before implementing it I had used a very sophisticated and integrated version of Salesforce. At an SMB, a lot of those tools have come in handy. It helps centralize our lead generation and sales pipeline and it also gives visibility to managers and owners who are not in our office. A ton of resources available online. Google any problem you have and there is a solution to help.

Cons: You need to be well versed in the back end to not screw anything up. There is a lot in the backend so be careful.

Pros: What I really like most about the solution is that it is focused on centralizing my contact, accounts and documents. All I need is a web browser or a mobile device since it works on the "cloud". The overall navigation of the software is really easy to navigate and find my information quickly. I really like the "Dashboard" to quickly see where my deals are in terms of the status and let's me focus on what I need to focus on to keep my business successful. I can also sync it VERY easily with my Outlook. I like that Salesforce shows me all past contacts that I have contact with in the past. I can see if I ever met with that contact before and quickly see the contacts quick information like where they works and what job title they hold. I can easily determine if this contact or prospect is in a position within their company that can make business decisions and purchases.

Cons: I think what I like least about Salesforce is that it might take some time for me to get comfortable with the entire layout of the software. There are so many features, tabs and resources I don't think I can effectively learn and use every feature that it has in one day. I feel it may take some time to get familiar with.

Overall: The benefit I got from this product was that all my information I need to run my small business is in one central place. I like that I only need a web browser or mobile device to access Salesforce as well.

Pros: What I like most about Salesforce is the capability of being an all-in-one CRM. In the insurance business, there is a very wide variety of details to track: client information, sales statistics, commissions, important dates, data from insurance carriers, and more. Salesforce has the ability to customize the fields so that we can keep track of as much information that we want to.

Another example of the versatility of Salesforce is that it can be used by all departments of a company. SeniorQuote has deployed Salesforce with our sales agents, case managers, finance department, administrators, marketing specialists and data analysts.

We have incorporated plug-ins with Salesforce to make it versatile for our needs. We were able to incorporate inContact with our Salesforce to have a built-in phone dialer for our agents. We also incorporated Marketo's automation software to have the ability to use digital marketing with the ease of a "click" while surveying our extensive database of leads.

We purchased additional support, which has been a huge help. Response time is good. I put in tickets for help which are answered anywhere between minutes after my request up to 24 hours. The assistance we receive is often stellar, and the representatives are very knowledgeable. The only quirk with them is they are sometimes in foreign countries and some instances I've dealt with people with poor communication skills.

Cons: What turns me off about Salesforce is the configuration. It could be pertinent to SeniorQuote, because we did not hire a licensed Salesforce administrator to configure and maintain our Salesforce account. After going through it without an administrator, I would highly recommend having one on staff (as appropriate to company size) Simply put: the more complicated or detailed your CRM will be, the higher the likelihood you will need an in-house administrator.

I have used Salesforce with three different companies and have witnessed the many problems that arise when you don't have someone who is an EXPERT at Salesforce to help you out. At the very least, I suggest buying the Additional Support.

Pros: Excellent way to stay on top of your client base with trends and identifies to help you maximise your sales team efforts. Funnel reviews are now a piece of cake. The easy to use interface allows your opportunities to become manageable and easy to identify with the cross relation tool sets.

Cons: The software, like anything else, is heavy dependant upon the administrators and deployment team. If the process is not well established and the outcome goals clearly identified early on, the project will likely have more of a negative impact on the sales team than anything else.

Overall: I was able to increase my earning potential by capitalising upon opportunities that I did not know I had. It also ensured that I was accountable to my targets and scheduled commitments with potential leads.

Pros: Everything is very well connected and follow up tasks make it very easy to communicate duties and hold everyone on the team accountable for their duties

Cons: Occasionally, when submitting a case or opportunity, it is rejected because there may be 3 portions I need to fill out. Except it will say I need to fill out 'x row'. Then I fill it out and hit submit.
Then it is rejected again because I also need to fill out 'xy row'. So i fix it and hit submit. Then a new thing I need to fix pops up.
If it was fashioned so all 3 portions which need updating appear at once, it will mitigate frustration.

Pros: It's pretty simple for a nation-wide company to use the software and schedule what we need. This way events are not falling through the cracks.

Cons: It took a while for everyone on our team to really dig in and learn their way around the software and how to best use it.

Pros: I like that it keeps track of all my clients, orders, and quoting, and can submit info via docusign. My support staff is located all across the county, and this allows us all to have access to the same info. Very efficient.

Cons: There was an initial learning curve, but after that it is very easy to use. Occasionally it has a difficult time loading quotes from the vendor's system, but those are usually resolved very quickly.

Pros: Has huge capacity. Everything about your organization (tasks, follow up, tracking) can be kept here in one system. Works with companies that have hundreds of workers as well as smaller businesses. Able to save templates for tasks that are done often which saves us loads of time for filling in all the fields.

Cons: This is very pricey software. You have to be able to justify the cost. Every user costs an additional amount. If you are more team based you could set it up so each team has an account but our company wanted to be able to assign a specific person. This quickly made the costs a huge problem for us.

Overall: organizational, accountability for people responsible for the task, ability to see who has done what.

Cons: Honestly, after I was not too happy with Salesforce, I changed to another CRM. I needed something fast and simple for my business and salesforce was too complicated for that, but moreover, it is MUCH too expensive. Since they are well-known on the market, many buy their product, but they are FAR from being the best. Comments: Our company has been using Salesforce.com for quite some time now, it has worked wonders for our business -- particularly given that we are spread out over several locations, this helps us all communicate as a single team in an efficient and user-friendly intuitive way. Also very useful that it can be integrated with Outlook and that it comes with tons of addons and connectors to create a really consistent experience across the different platforms we use.

Pros: -Constantly improving, with software updates and releases 3 times a year -Huge support community -Integrates with tons of other software and has massive capabilities for the complete business on multiple facets -Ease of use and automated functions and integrations make the workflow fast, easy, and with very few touchpoints -With improvements still to come in the fields of AI and ever-expanding list of integrations, it is only getting better with time! -Can access from anywhere at any time as the platform is entirely cloud-based and includes a full functional mobile app! -Fully customizable, you can create custom tabs, fields, apps - the whole thing can be pinched and pulled to work for you!

Cons: -Reliance on internet access can make it tricky with businesses with unreliable internet service -Takes a little getting used to, there are just so many things it can do when fully unleashed that it can be a little difficult to learn at first, but they do have a full online experience for independent training, the Trailhead.

Pros: Salesforce is like a box of building blocks. You have every possible option in front of you, and beyond a few instructions and a rigid backbone, any need you have can be built. In the Salesforce world, you have access to default record types and pages, but can do anything else on top of those to map your exact sales process and workflow.

Cons: The same complexity that makes Salesforce adaptable also makes it hard to use without experience. Implementing it beyond a basic level requires someone to pick up the task and learn, or a third-party administrator. No, that person in the office who "totally knows Salesforce" will not do.

Overall: Made a small sales team operate more like a big one, with the customization to match any shift in sales process or product marketing we wanted.

Pros: Fulfils all of my team's needs in setting up our mobile ad campaigns, which involves communication between our offices London and San Francisco. This software allows a centralised point of contact, which works seamlessly on a daily basis.

Cons: The mobile app needs some work, it often crashes and I have lost work as a result. There have been instances where I have written out a long case comment back to a colleague, and tapping the wrong area on the screen takes you back to a previous screen, losing the comment altogether and forcing me to re-write it (often multiple times)

Overall: Centralised communication between our teams across the globe, reducing the difficulties typically caused by such a time difference (London to San Francisco), particularly with the mobile app.

Pros: I've used this in both of the non profit and public sector and it is flexible enough to work across sectors.

Cons: There really needs to be a full time manager of the software for your enterprise in order to fully take advantage of it.

Cons: I do not have many dislikes about the business but I will say they need to continue to expand more into being able to adapt to even more businesses.

Overall: I was able to use this software to implement it better into our business needs.

Pros: Salesforce user interface, apex programming, deployment process, cloud computing, lightning UI, Admin setup.

Cons: Salesforce is one of the shared environment where-in multiple people are connecting to the same server there will be some limitation and if salesforce relax the limitations.

Pros: I love how clean it is and the features it brings to organizations. I've used this system through several vendors and it's always been a great experience. The robust search has to be my absolute favorite component - I've been able to find anything I needed using it! Of course, the quality of the results depends on the content the vendor posts - but if it exists the search will find it!

Overall: Easy communication with vendors, drastically reduced need to open tickets due to automated and manual searching of knowledge bases.

Very flexible and a very good user interface.

Pros: The ability to customise reports and organise records is extremely useful to our company, it also integrates quite simply with our internal systems.

Cons: The cost is a little high and the learning curve is a bit high. The intuitive interface could be made easier by simplification of the software.

Overall: Centralisation of our systems.

Pros: Highly configurable and standardized to match global market.Case management ,Lead generation very easy.Report generation is highly useful. The most thing i love is "point and click" functionality in salesforce it can be used by any person it does not require high level of technical knowledge to use.

Cons: There are limitations imposed for DML queries but they had to do this to this since it is cloud environment

Overall: For maximum functionality we can directly point and click ,easy to configure and customize as per client needs.

Pros: I have yet to find something I can't do within Salesforce. Sometimes it takes an app from Appexchange, or it's a complicated setup, but at least I can do it. Every sales org is unique and it's this flexibility that keeps me a Salesforce user. Data is important and the basics of Salesforce are easy enough to customize on the fly so that I can build out a process within Salesforce that is effective. Their reporting is extremely customizable once you build out the rest of the instance correctly.

Cons: There is a learning curve, but it's well worth learning the software in detail. There are a ton of really logical features that should be part of Salesforce, but aren't. I'll google them and find massive threads on the topic validating this. Oh well....

Overall: It supports a detailed sales process, and provides the visibility and reporting that I need to do my job effectively. I can manage my sales pipeline and build out just about anything I need with the software.

Use this software as a customer sales manager. It's great for staying organized.

Pros: Ease of use- is pretty much dummy proof. I taught myself how to use it in a day Highly helps find leads as it integrates with things like Hoovers and Salesforce's own Data.com Great customer service, company truly cares about its customers Brand reputation and the fact that they created cloud computing is great.

Cons: The price is pretty expensive compared to other CRM's like Slate but it is well worth the price because of the CRM being their main core competency

Pros: Salesforce lets you do anything. When you're working with a CRM like this, its easy to create a detailed and very real data point about each and every one of your clients. Salesforce allows me to link to my Hubspot account, and it works with a number of other CRM and marketing tools. The flexibility of this tool is virtually limitless. You get what you pay for, and salesforce is well worth it.

Cons: This software is TRULY robust, and with this robustness can come a very STEEP learning curve. Sometime I have to work closely with developers to troubleshoot some issues I'm having. I wish it were a little more intuitive and "plug and play". But this doesn't take away enough from the value of this tool, that it makes it not worth getting... get this software.

Overall: A flexible tool to manage my accounts and clients in a robust way. I can grow into the software as my company grows as well.

Pros: Easy to navigate. Setting up new opportunities and tracking them. A breeze to manage. Running reports to track job progress.

Pros: Logging capability and reporting building were useful. this way i could see who i have contacted and segment my target outreach to specific folks. also, i like creating opportunities and using them as a to-do list.

Cons: Confusing to use, at times, and when i used it did not have linking capability with email. Also, for my company which is in the BTB and BTC space, it was not helpful for BTC opportunities.

Overall: data collection and reporting
