Mag+: Where the rules are made up & the points don't matter

Comments: The first of many, what Mag+ refers to as miscommunications, and we refer to fraudulent information, was the result of the no less than 5 sales representatives we spoke to. 5 sales people miscommunicated the features of Mag+ software. The first of these sales people was Nate Kimmel. He set up a demo to explain their 'easy to use software' and we were set up on screen share with Matthew Cokeley who spent about 30 minutes setting up files and downloading the tools and showing us how 'quick and easy' the software was to use. 6 days later Nate emailed me again telling me he was leaving the company and handed me off to Carlos Hernandez. I emailed Carlos some questions & he emailed me back with some links to answer the questions-minimal effort. Once I taught myself, I asked Carlos if he had time to have a phone call and go over the process of becoming a Mag+ customer. He never responded and we were passed along to the third Mag+ representative, Collin Harrow. From Collin to Andrew Wong.

The software is so easily interrupted that it took two mag+ representatives two separate occasions to 'successfully' upload our app to apple developer. Then it was so faulty and would not display correctly that I had to reload the entire app and wait for approval the second time. Frustrations were high, but we were just learning how inadequate Mag+ is.

-More than half the time we opened the first issue it would close out the entire app on the 6th page.

-The software DOES not 'quickly transfer' your designs to fit other devices. In fact it took an intern and myself an entire day to get our layout to fit JUST available apple products. It was quickly becoming a nightmare.

-Zooming, the zooming does not zoom in a traditional manner. It zooms in boxes so the text will zoom so not the page, so on iPhone for example you can read about one word at a time if you require zooming. It is awkward and looks horrible. Mag+ response to this was, your customers shouldn't really need to zoom, and it's not designed to be zooming heavy. I suggested we agree to disagree on what our customer needed; we only have 20 plus year experience on what our customers desire.

-The most frustrating of 'bugs' in Mag+ was that while it tests on way that does not necessarily mean it will display like that once live. For example: a video on our first issue plays EVERYTIME in the test display, but is nonexistence in the live display.
