Pros: WebPT is very user friendly. All new hires pick up the program fairly quickly - both administrative personnel and Physical Therapists. WebPT appointments are color coded which is extremely helpful for scheduling. There are several reports that we use frequently in our office - payment reports, Medicare cap reports, billing reports, etc. Patient accounts hold everything that our office needs: insurance details, prescription details, authorization details, and a place to scan documents.

Cons: Our biggest con with WebPT is that there is no excellent way to make sure that our patients do not get scheduled or seen past their authorization, visit, or prescription limit. There is a dashboard but we don't find that it works well nor is it efficient. Many patients don't show up on the report in the amount of time that we need to get authorization. We wish that WebPt would flag our front desk if they are scheduling an appointment beyond a limit that we have set up.

Pros: The fact that the program is web based and everyone could use it everywhere. Also that it did not matter how many people were logged on at one time.

Cons: We like to see statistics (number of cancel, are most served given an address, etc). That's the only thing it doesnt seem to have. Also it more expensive for non for profit companies.

Pros: Web Pt is intuitive and easy to use. It has exactly what we need without a lot of extra stuff that we don't. The analytics help us to know how our practice is really performing.

Cons: Web PT partners with Therabill for billing. It would be better if the billing was included in Web PT. Therabill is not as user friendly.

Pros: Cloud based is a plus, customizable, checks and balances for documentation/billing requirements, features such as analytics help practice owners manage and grow their clinics.

Cons: It's still growing and innovating just like out clinic- which is actually a great thing! Would love to automate certain features in the patient payment/check-in area.

Pros: WebPT allows to keep all the documents together with facility of eDocs where scripts and all other documents can be scanned in to make a folder. It also allows to fax documents without need to download.

Cons: Customer Service: very poor, mainly requires you to email them and then wait for their mercy for them to get in touch with you. It can take a week to 2 to resolve issues as you cannot speak to a person directly. Sometimes you do get lucky if someone actually answers the phone. Scheduling: The service is average, it does not count the number of sessions you have used for the patient. So you cannot just function just using scheduling, you will have to go back to documents to see how many sessions patient was authorized and how many they have used. System failure: Usually their downtimes/maintainence are off work hours but in the last 2 years of using WebPT when system has been down during regular working hours, they have failed to notify you in advance and all of a sudden you are working on notes and scheduling the system just goes off. Also there is no backup or does not even let you access schedule to call patients, leaving you practically useless and crippled.

Pros: Does a pretty good job of creating a clean claim with all the modifiers, proper Medicare FLR coding, proper Diagnosis codes, etc..

Cons: LOTS of clicks to do what should take 1 or 2, clumsy, slow to load, not intelligent but rather archaic, and last but certainly NOT LEAST is the MASSIVE billing dysfunction between a non-integrated WebPT and TheraBill. DO NOT USE THIS COMBINATION OF BILLING, outsource it if you must.

Pros: The web pt templates are easy to learn. Being able to fax the notes out through webpt is a convenient and time saving function. Integration between webpt and therabill needs work. I've had EOBs go missing

Cons: WebPT/Therabill has caused me a lot of headaches. I am researching other softwares as a result. I've heard lots of good stuff but had nothing but troubles with their customer support and integration. I've had EOBs sent out but go missing via therabill. I've had my EMR system not get upgraded, but of course I was paying for those updates. I had a custom table ordered which never came and they were slow to refund me. Most recently, there was some sort of payment issue which was identified in a new calendar year after my accounting was done and now somehow its my fault even though they failed to notify me in a timely manner (4 months later) when it was an autopay set up. I think if you are a larger clinic it probably works fine but they are not committed to keeping the smaller clinics happy.

Not my favorite. Could be more user-friendly.

Pros: I like that there is exercises that you can search right on the site without going from another source.

Cons: There is way more information and choices than there needs to be. For a simpler case, the documentation is way too extensive for what is actually needed. It would be simpler if a lot of the uncommonly used choices were either taken out altogether or put in a different place to find. At first, it seemed pretty simple, but once I started to get more in depth in the site it was confusing to navigate and find exactly what you are looking for.

Pros: Very easy to schedule patients. Operation of most systems are similar to windows programming. The prompts the program uses during note taking is very helpful to ensure you don't forget documentation criteria for different insurances.

Cons: I wish the program had the ability to keep a document open and open other documents without closing the current document opening up a separate internet window. I also would like to see more analytics available to assist in tracking of work flow and patient flow.

Pros:  switched because I wanted more flexibility and lower rates. I found an EMR that allows me to access my notes even from my cell phone, in fact, I can write notes on my cell phone. That's so functional for us since we are always carrying that device so we can catch up anywhere, anytime. WebPT is very expensive and has a lot of "rules" to follow and limited flexibility with how you write your notes. It's cumbersome to bring in copies of notes.

Cons: I honestly haven't run into any issues that I can think of as a receptionist. I schedule LOTS of appointments with this software and scan documents to patients charts and I usually have no issues. Every once in awhile the software does not count appointments correctly or something like that. I call customer service right away and they always take care of my concern quickly and are nice on the phone.

Comments: They have really worked with me and made the website for for my situation. I am excited that they have added a new exercise software that will be attached to the notes.

Pros: I really like the ease of use, the finished document, faxibility, and the comprehensive information available . I like the ability to add my own information at the end of each section.

Cons: I really don't like the time out feature. I have lost a lot of hard work with that one. This has been frustrating.

WebPT is very expensive and has a lot of "rules" to follow and limited flexibility with how you write your notes. It's cumbersome to bring in copies of notes.

Pros: Great to have quick access to some objective measures and tests including scoring them, nice to have easy access to all diagnostic and treatment codes, very nice to be able to fax to MDs directly from the software, nicely tracks progress toward goals.

Cons: Too much to fill out, not easy enough to copy from one note to the next, difficulty tailoring to specific practice needs, too demanding in terms of letting you move from one page to the next with requirements to consider something complete - I realize that it is meant to assist with insurance demands, but should be a lot more flexible, can't access from cell phone which you can with other EMR services, too expensive

Pros: Very easy to use, meets all the CMS requirements for an outpatient clinic, is cloud based so can be accessed from any web based device

Cons: No major cons, except when we tried to reach out to other WebPT users on the contact information given by WebPT to get their feedback before getting their experience with the software we never heard back from anyone. Also, the sales team is a bit aggressive and tried to pressurize us in the beginning to sign up for the product before we had fully vetted it

Comments: We are currently looking for another EMR. WebPT is not for us because we want out therapists to actually spend time treating patients. With WebPT, they are typing all day long. I have a hard time getting patients better when I don't have time to touch them, talk to them, or look at them. My therapists hate WebPT!

Pros: 3-4 years ago, when WebPT was a smaller organization, they offered better customer service and helped resolve problems. I am confident that they now care only about making money.

Cons: Very expensive. Costs our organization $'s per year. Support is always unable to help. "I'm sorry, your therapist is just going to have to do the whole thing over again." Not user friendly. Therapists have to have work-arounds and extensive training to understand how to document. Documentation does not need to be this difficult. Documentation is not bullet proof. Don't trust their automation. Slow...plan on waiting 10 seconds to pull up a page (we have fiber optic internet, it is not our internet speed). Exercise flowsheets are time consuming and not user friendly. It takes hours to set up and manage the scheduling template.

WebPT has changed the way we manage PT patients at our facility.

Pros: That it tracks most compliance and outcome measures without us having to cue staff or send out reminders to be within medicare guidelines. I think if they work out the bugs in the functional outcomes scoring that this will be a huge asset but right now it is too early and difficult to appropriately capture data.

Cons: The customer service just basically responds to all questions (if they respond) with "we will look into this" then asks "please rate our service today," and very often never addresses the responses and blows off the doctoral educated therapists as if the glitches in the system couldn't possibly be flaws of WebPT

Pros: Clinical ease of use, efficient documentation, excellent customer service; owner and company is 100% dedicated to the field of PT and supports the APTA, PPS, PAC which is very important to me; Love the initiation of Rehab Nation to try and get WebPT users engaged and to learn from each other; a very Proactive company, Lots of great online material - blogs, webinars, etc.

Cons: Therabill was a complete disaster for us and we had to switch back to Kareo. Was rolled out way to early and was clear that it was not meant for PT (behavior health?) - hopefully over time this may change. The billing is frustrating that everything is a tack on charge. I am concerned that WebPT is growing too fast.

Pros: easy to use, have most features needed and able to use as a sole practitioner and pay only for one person, lots of other software are costly for sole practitioner, customer service regarding usage and problem solving is good

Cons: customer service when switching business names was a nightmare the start date was delayed due to lack of communication within the company, they charged the wrong bank account which caused overdraft , they did not change the contact info and had to send the info several times, and sometimes would not get return call after leaving a message,

I have been more than happy with the overall products and service I receive from WebPT!

Comments: I live on Guam so there are unique challenges for us. WebPT has been helpful but it does not change the issues related to the time stamp issues. Downloading charts for documentation has been quite challenging for almost a year after one of their upgrades. However, I still use the program!

Pros: The ability to have a one stop webbase Program streamlines work! I like to shop, chart, and learn all in the same site

Cons: Because of my location, it creates time stamp and VPN issues. The charts take forever to open charts because the VPN takes a while to recognize my location. My IT guy says it¿s a regional thing and a security thing... it is like we are a threat list!

Comments: It is my opinion that more work needs to be done to help speech-language pathologists. They should have the ability to remove the PT stuff and not have to scroll through when using Webpt. There is lots of potential with Webpt - would like to see more adaptation ability for individual owner.

Pros: The front office package works well. The system itself is pretty easy to use and train others on. I do like the look and feel of the system.

Cons: The product was created for PT and not Speech-Langage pathology therefore there is a lot of stuff to wade through that does not apply to speech-language. It feels like Speech-Language is an after thought. Plus you have to pay for WebPt and Threabill, even though they are integrated you have to access them in two differ places. We have to change our terminology to accommodate Webpt. We use SOAP notes, they use Daily Note.

Comments: I would highly recommend this software!

Pros: I love how intuitive the software is. I can tell it was designed by a PT. Everything is easy to access. The built in outcome measures make it easy to track outcomes. I also LOVE that I can scan in documents (like our intake forms, HEP, etc.)

Cons: I would like to have the option of doing multiple issues in the evaluation form (such as UE and LE) since quite a few people come to our clinic with multiple issues.

Pros: I really like that this software is easy to use and have found it extremely easy to train staff. I also like that there are many places to put extra in house information if needed. The reports section has also been an extreme help to our company as the missed notes reports will pick up if any therapists have any outstanding notes. This helps us in our a/r . I also find the the appointment reminders to be of help as well. The fact that there are more than one place to put in authorizations is helpful to keeping track of auth.

Cons: Sometimes there are glitches in the system. It doesnt happen often but when it does the whole system freezes.

Overall: Ease of use for an EMR system.

Pros: The best thing I like about WebPT for our practice is that we can view/schedule/cancel appointments among our 4 locations.

Cons: I don't like the fact that the clerical staff cannot discharge a case when a patient is discharged. The therapist has to do it but most time our therapists don't discharge the old case and leave it open and then the patient will come back months later and the wrong case will be added to schedule and the note completed on the wrong case. This happens a lot at our practice.

Pros: This software is comprehensive and we can fully rely on it. The scheduling component is well done, you can use it fully as is or personalize it. They have email reminders for appts. The documentation part is thourough too. Again you can use as is or customize it. They build in things to keep you compliant. Then the charges carry over to a few different billing options for in house billing done right.

Cons: The price recently went up a bit and that is a bit frustrating. But still worth it! Customer service is a bit slower than it used to be but always that day.

Pros: The system makes scheduling and organizing a lot faster and easier. You can customize what you want your insurances to look like and easily lay out who is on the schedule provider wise for the day. The documentation is very thorough.

Cons: You have to go to a lot of different reports to get specific information. If you do want/need to talk to a person about a problem with WebPT sometimes you do have to wait a while on the phone if its a busy time for them. The documentation is so thorough that it takes my PT's a long time to do notes, which I get a lot of complaints about.

Comments: Overall it is a good product however I wish the referral reports were a little bit easier to use as well as I wish it was easier to use when transitioning from one Clinic to another clinic as far as scheduling patients in a multi Clinic specialty practice

Pros: It is reasonably comprehensive with regard to your notes presented to your Physicians and referring parties. It is also very easy to enter a building into your daily notes

Cons: The analytics reporting is getting better however it still lacks very specific reports on trends of referrals between different clinics if you have a multi cutting practice.

Comments: From a therapist prospective, it is easy to use but there are cons.

Pros: Therapists say it is easy to use. You may scan documents into the program for storage which is helpful. The ability to have a 'comment section' that therapist see when seeing a patient is nice. You can put a unique comment regarding the payer here such as X insurance does not allow X treatment

Cons: Reports are pitiful. We have to do so much manual work to see what we need to see. Also compliance is very lacking. For example, some insurance contracts allow us to bill the 8 minute rule by unique cpt code per CPT rules (not Medicare/Federal programs which have more restrictive rules with total time Trump). For these commercial contracts if a provider does 12 minutes of 97140, 12 minutes of 97110 and 12 minutes of 97112 we can bill 3 units even through the total time is only 36 minutes. (Please take a Gwenda seminar for all the documentation to show in certain circumstances where this is allowed for non-Medicare non-Federal payers). In order to handle this scenario in WebPT, you must shut off all over-site. If you shut off all over-site, things get crazy. For example, if a therapist accidently logs 30 units instead of 30 minutes, WebPT will now not notify you. The only way to proof before billing to see how many minutes is assigned to each cpt code is to open each an every note and look. There is NO REPORT or billing log that will tell you how many minutes are assigned to each cpt code. That is why I spend 8 hours every two weeks opening each and every note for specific payers to see if units are assigned correctly. I commonly find 22 minutes of 97140 where the therapist assigned 2 units to this. This is overbilling and I have to manually open each note to catch it. Other major software out there can easily handle this scenario. Also, the system will not give cancel/no show rates per each unique provider. We have to manually do this. Also, we can run a great report for Medicare but not for any other payers. For example our state has a unique requirement for rehab agencies in which we have to do recerts more frequently than required by Medicare. We can run a report for Medicare to help track when they are due, but there is not the option to run this same report for other payers in addition to Medicare. It's very frustrating that our info is in there but we can't report on it. In retrospect we wish we would have went with Clinicient, BMS or something else.

Comments: We love this system and rarely have problems with it. The money is worth the system. The clinical is hard for new therapists to learn but once they get used to the system it is fast and easy.

Pros: This system ensures compliance, has an easy to use scheduler. The ability to fax through the system and upload documents to charts using quick scan is amazing. The reporting is new and improved and very helpful.

Cons: There are system outages and slow downs after updates (not frequently), Its hard to switch between licenses, When the internet is lost clinical notes can be partially or mostly deleted/lost.

Comments: It is appreciated when customer service reaches out to enhance our WebPT experience. It would improve the continued relationship with WebPT if a customer care/service person is designated for a clinic and can help walk each clinic through any and all particular nuance of WebPT.

Pros: For the most part easy to navigate though documentation. Once you have used WebPT for a few months you can develop an efficient system for effective notes. Thus allowing for customization for your specific needs via Smart Text. WebPT allows for detailed documentation which is so important in this day and age. In addition WebPT is follows Medicare guidelines having reminders in place for PRs, etc. Customer service has been good.

Cons: Difficulty in use of the flowsheet as point and click requires quite a bit of scrolling to get to the exercises desired. Developing own exercise flow sheet takes time. Smart texts are not pre-loaded which also takes time to develop own smart text system. Compatibility with Apple systems was limited when we first started with WebPT.

Comments: With the new price increase I'm unsure if WebPT is still worth the money.

Pros: I love that WebPT has a lot of features integrated into the system and that it takes me a fraction of the time to write notes than it did when I had to write them by hand at a previous clinic.

Cons: WebPT has outdated tests for SLPs, I've had clients who were unable to access their records through the system, and I've had other clinics who didn't receive full Taxes from the system.

Comments: They seem to be one of the more affordable systems. Most users that I have spoken with really liked it, so I may be the exception.

Pros: customer service is out of this world. they reply right away, and bend over backward to please you.

Cons: the problem is when they can't help you; several of our documents over the course of a couple of years - No problem, we re-wrote them (not the best solution). The bad hit the proverbial fan when they lost an entire chart. It was pretty difficult to recreate that from memory. They checked their backup systems and said the documents never existed. What is even more telling is that it was the same chart that they had helped us with the week before, when they moved a document for us.

Cons: Being a web based program on occasion their server can go down which means we can not document or schedule patients.

Pros: ease of use from documentation to scheduling to administrative reports, geared toward rehab specific needs

Cons: I do not like that the billing services are restricted and unable to be used by smaller clinics and as a result I have to use a seperate billing system (Kareo) which I do not like.

WebPT really transformed the way our office documents and bills. It takes the hassle out of it

Pros: WebPT is great at keeping track of all outcomes and other things that annoy us as therapists. It makes it easy for you to treat, document, and no have to worry about the rest

Cons: By no means is it cheap, but it is so good that it's worth it. If your internet speed is not great, it can sometimes be a little tricky to work

Overall: Easy billing and documentstion

We have always had a great experience with WebPT!

Pros: The ease of scheduling with the appointment reminders! Our patients love that feature! It would be great if you would set it up so that patients could respond to the text reminders. Ex: Respond "1" To confirm "2" To cancel.

Cons: There has been quite a few glitches lately or "RUH ROH" down time that has made our work days a little challenging.

Comments: I would like to see improvements under assessment and goals. Goals should be seen that have been met or discharged during active treatment.

Pros: Easy to correct mistakes, Alerts you on mistakes, dashboard prompts you on incomplete documentation

Cons: Extremely slow loading time, billing procedures, geared highly towards one therapy discipline. requires you to make your own profile if other therapy disciplines

Pros: Easy to use
Covers everything PT/OTs need
Customizable for the therapists to show only codes they actually use

Cons: Accessing patients info could be easier, but it's still not difficult.
When running reports you have to be sure to open a patient's chart from the report by "open in new window" if not you'll have to re-run the report.

Overall: its exactly what PT and OTs need!

Comments: Overall, this is one of the better documentation software available. It has been around for a while and they seem to know what a PT and its office would need.

Pros: 1. It is user friendly 2. It has many levels to it such as scheduling, and billing 3. It double checks all documents which helps especially with certain insurances 4. Options for patient to get reminders and paperwork via the web or text

Cons: It is expensive. Each item such as scheduling and billing is separate and each user is a separate cost as well.

Cons: It lags, not as fast and clean as far as transitions within the software. Need a lot of more tools, some features should be free, exa outcomes.

Pros: Ease of use, scheduler, sends email , text or phone reminders for appointments. Ability to upload documents directly to patient chart, email medical documentation to referring Doctor from patient charts.

Cons: only one dislike about software is unable to link family members to each other; parent to children, and spouses to one another .

WebPt is fairly easy to use from a front office point of view.

Pros: I like that WebPT integrates with our billing software Kareo. The setup was easy when we did the integration.

Cons: The one thing I dislike in WebPt is that every time to want to move around the screen and go somewhere else in a patients chart it has a pop-up asking if you want to leave the page. So annoying!

Comments: I accepted and signed The price they quoted me before onboarding. Now that I already am onboard and spent/ invested so many hours learning the system, etc, they claim that there's something wrong and that they have to increase my monthly rate! It's infuriating. I WASN'T the one that made the mistake! It's them. I feel like they lied to me to get my business!!!!! and when you're with them, they probably feel like they can just increase your price!!!!

Pros: Accepting the fact that there's not a lot of good EMR SYSTEM for outpatients, this one is ok. Easy to understand.

Very ease to use for documentation.

Pros: The layout is simple and quick. Different profiles for initial examinations allow for ease of finding related objective measurements.

Cons: Limited profiles and questions for initial examinations, such as no real neurological profile for patients with neurological issues.

Comments: Promises made by sales, account reps and the owner were not kept.

Pros: Enough positive that we've used it since 2012. We have seen several good updates, but as with all updates they change other things in the program. They seem to have amateur IT staff.

Cons: Sold their product in Hawaii without support available. Promised they would never again schedule down time during Hawaii clinics hours. Then they did it again

Easy to use with great customer service. Plenty of options to perform outcome measures.

Pros: What I like most about WebPT is the overall ease starting this service as a new graduate. Plenty of options to pick from for outcome measure and customization of templets.

Cons: I wish there was more customizable options for the home exercise component. Also having more exercises to pick from. The current list is limited.

Pros: Availability of outcome forms, large selection of tests and measurements to select from, and a fairly quick and easy method for selecting proper ICD-10 codes.

Cons: Would like to see a discharge form that is less complex that can be easily and quickly read and understood by the physicians that we send it to. Physicians receiving the WebPT EMR D/C are not necessarily familiar with the WebPT format, and have occasional difficulty with determining the patient's status

Overall: Compliance with documentation requirements

I dreaded learning WebPT but was pleased to find it extremely easy to use. I can document quickly!

Pros: It is very intuitive. Easy to learn and access information. SOAP notes are very quick and efficient. Customer service has been prompt and helpful.

Cons: The HEP program is clunky and difficult to use. We work around it by scanning in paper copies of TEs.

Overall: Easy and efficient documentation cutting down on documentation time. Easy process to enter charges in daily notes. Easy access to notes spanning different office locations which is convenient for therapists working in multiple locations.

WebPT is so user friendly and as a front desk worker it is the number one thing I look for.

Pros: It is extremely user friendly. Everything I need to use is easily accessible or in a logical spot. With the new update I also like the addition of the blue i's for short cuts to useful information. I use this program at least 8 hours a day and sometimes even 12 hours. If a program isn't user friendly it effects my entire job and therefore patient interaction. With WebPT it makes patient interaction timely, and therefore impresses patients, and makes them trust that we know how to help them.

Cons: If I would have to answer this question, the only thing I can think of is that when I need to call tech support it is usually due to wrong visit counts or used authorized visits. This is extremely important so that I can keep the patient informed if we are running out of insurance visits, and authorized visits ensures we get paid for our services. We have a very caring staff, but we can't give away all our services for free or we won't make it as an office.

Overall: An all inclusive program that is user friendly and allows me to do my job in a timely yet professional manner.

Comments: After transitioning over to WebPT, we ended up having to go back to Quickbooks. We are now using Clinic Source and it is amazing for ST. We are now very happy after the past 4 months of chaos.

Pros: Representative on Onboarding and on Therabill support are the stars of the team. There is not anything else positive to report

Cons: There is no versatility. Once something is entered there is no way to go back and change it; It requires the purchase of 2 programs to make it work both WebPT and Therabill; The cost is high and there is no coordination between the two programs. WebPT knows nothing about Therabill and vice versa. WebPT just bought out Therabill and they don't know how to run it, it was down for 2 days; They have poor customer service often taking a week or more to respond with help. Overall this program has been an absolute disaster for our company.

I started using WebPT when I started my private ST/OT practice. I needed a Medicare compliant EHR.

Pros: WebPT does the heavy lifting for me. They submit information to Medicare on my behalf, send my charges to my billing software, allow me to fax directly from the system, and so much more!

Cons: It is not as tailored to and customizable for SLPs as I would like, and changes to that are slow in processing.

Overall: Sanity, simplicity, assurance.
