I've now worked with for the past four years, and considering my 35-plus years in the hospitality industry I can honestly say that this POS system is without a doubt the user-friendly system I've come across. Reporting options are excellent and easy to utilize. Affordability is also a major draw, offering exceptional value for a system that can be built on and expanded as the business grows. Highly recommended.

Pros

user friendly. Support is always there for us. Also we have had no down time and the information available on this system really helps us to run the restaurant as well as, if not better than all other POS systems.

Cons

I can not access some of the info on my I MAC. The system is set up for MAC MINI.

Pros

has been great for our new business in the sense that it was quick to catch on to how to use it. We also do our own accounting, so using TouchBistro as our cash register has provided an organized and straight-forward tally-ing point of our daily income.

Cons

In our experience so far getting technological support has been the most frustrating for us. Not being able to speak to someone right away, having to leave a message and wait for a call back, can be really frustrating as a customer, especially when you're in the middle of service and your POS suddenly isn'y working. This is definitely an area that TB could improve upon.

Pros

Blows our old pos system out of the water. Dynamic product always improving the software. Has made our customer service experience quicker and more accurate. Easy to train staff.

Cons

Not much to dislike. We have had no problems using the system. Quicker call back from support would be helpful.

One of the major factors in us selecting was the ease of inputting customer information in the seating, and then allowing us to track the customer as they move about the brewery. We are different than a restaurant in that our customers don't sit and stay in one place. They move around to visit friends, move to the outdoor seating and then back inside, and combine tables when more people show up. TouchBistro allows us to not only track where they are, but who they are and what they have ordered no matter which of our wait staff is taking care of them.

Easy to set up, versatile, and powerful. This program makes managing sales and labour a much easier task.

Cons

I had some miscommunication regarding the printers that I ordered, as well as some misinformation about upgrading to 2 terminals. Nothing was really done to rectify the situation.

Pros

I like the cost, ease of use, and support staff.

Cons

I dislike that you have to print a customer copy of the receipt. Most of our customers do not want their receipts, which means wasted paper. I also don't like getting the kitchen printer to show certain specific things on the receipts for the cooking staff. There's no landscape view, which would help us with the credit card swipe, because now it is at the bottom of the machine.

Being a midsize FSR in NYC all we wanted was a modern yet simple POS. We were able to download the and try it for 30 days - after 5 days or so we realized how simple it was and were able to book a remote install and training. From the 3 POS systems we shopped TouchBistro was the "prettiest" and the pricing was what we deemed fair. Overall we are a happy TouchBistro customer in West Village, NYC.

I'm neither happy or unhappy with touch bistro. It's limitations are sometimes frustrating and as a company you ask for a lot of feedback and user interaction but don't respond to requests or feature enhancements. reacjing someone on the phone to assist with an issue is always an issue. Very cumbersome. That said the system is stable and rarely crashes.

Smooth transition from Our old system for both us and our employees. Once you do your reading programming was a breeze and updating pricing/products is quick. Love touch bistro cloud and the ability to watch sales/product/employee reports. Cons are that you can not use existing gift cards from old system. Not interested in using a third party for gift cards.

Pros

Nothing is great about this pos system, since we loose a lot of money because of their bad service

Cons

Authorized Touch bistro Dealer from SWFl was a total fraud and he took $1800 from and did no service at all we wasted more than 2 weeks for them to installl the softare

Support can be an issue and having staff get back to you regarding non-support use.

We have a 2 IPad setup, and use both regularly. Ease of setup and use really helps in the training of our staff. Support has been very good when we have questions. A few minor features left out that we would like, but nothing serious. Great product, very happy with it.

I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a POS system.

Pros

I like the overall system, but what really stood out for me was the customer service and how helpful they were throughout the entire process.

Cons

I have not noticed any downside. Everything was smooth. If I could pick one very small thing, it would be great to have a support team locally to be able to come into site but with the customer service team being reachable and the process being simple, I don’t think it’s an issue.

The reduction of server errors and chit times by "At-table" ordering.

Cons

The statistics reports on site are incredibly helpful, however when at home or otherwise away it is very hard to keep up with as the cloud reporting is in development.

I can't really give a positive review of any kind on this product.

Cons

My biggest complaint about this system is the lack of training/training mode. While there are many "tech savvy" individuals, there are also those of us who want a human on the ground to get us up and running. 95% of the time when I have a problem with this system I call support only to sit on hold and then be told to leave a message or e-mail them. We are dealing in real time and I don't have 24 hours to wait to get something fixed when I have 200 guests waiting to order a drink at a wedding.

Touch Bistro has been good overall, but the complaint we have with it is that when we send tickets back to the kitchen, we have to wait until the ticket prints before we can do anything else. Basically, the program is paused while tickets print. This can be a real hassle during busy times, which are most of the times. Also, the program "messes up" a lot, requiring us to constantly close it and re-open it. If these issues can be fixed, I will be happy with the software.

I was excited to go to touch base iPad system... The process seemed easy enough... No it is not a simple install.... It has many issues. Support is slow to respond and fix issues ... Additionally they treat you as if your the issue. of your a working owner, manager there is little tolerance for your schedule if you 3 hours behind them. many issue never fixed I had to figure out on my own and for USA they might not be suitable slcertainly for large operations .
