Pros

The software is easy to use and to train new staff on. It's also great for splitting off bills/per seat billing.

Cons

There are a couple of glitches in relation to the shifts. When I do a report for my payroll period I always have to include the previous and next days in my report because the shifts are out of line with the dates.

Pros

ease of use -- can literally teach anyone to use it in minutes, customization, cloud reporting, stability

Cons

adding multiple ipads can get particularly costly but if they are used effectively, are absolutely worth the expense

Pros

This iPad based program is excellent for any restaurant, Cafe, Bar etc. Easy to use and even easier to set up. I really liked the customization aspect of it and the fact that it's on the iPad just makes customers all that more intrigued to see what the service staff are using.

Cons

Not much I didn't like about this product. Everything was pretty well put together.

### "Efficient and extremely easy to use "

I love this POS - very easy to train people on. Usually takes about 5 minutes and even new employees are usually able to figure their way out of mistakes. I wish there was a way to assign liquors to cocktails so we could keep better inventory. For example, right now it says I have 70 ounces of gin. But last night we sold 8 Tom Collins, so we actually only have 62 ounces. Other than that, I love everything about Touch Bistro.

Pros

Very easy to use, very easy to make changes quickly. Set up and hardware set up is easy as well. I also feel it is great to have the mobile reporting

Cons

Reporting can be a little quirky, and programming inventory is time consuming. Compared to other systems for the money it's a great value

### "The worst customer service I’ve seen in 34 years"

Pros

Nothing. We still cannot get system to work the way it was sold to us. The customer service is terrible. Wait times up to 12 hours

Cons

The customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen in my 35 years of business.

We thought at the time they were the best. The sales people were good. Nothing they told us was true

### "Could be great..."

It's clear that someone in the industry designed this product. It is very intuitive and has almost all of the functionality you can expect in the much more expensive pos systems. There are the occasional glitches, and some things that could be better, but 26 years in the restaurant business has exposed me to just about all of the major POS systems, and TouchBistro's functionality is in the top 10. Unfortunately, when you really need help, you're on your own. I've had the system for about 18 months now. On every occasion that I've had to reach out to "support", and I use the term loosely, I have never been able to reach anyone in a timely manner. My call has never been answered by a human being. I always have to leave a message. And response time ranges from 5 hours to 2 days. When you're in a crisis, there is nothing more disappointing and infuriating.

Pros

If you can use an iPhone, you can use this system. Easy to program, use, and manage. The cost is a fraction of other systems with similar functionality.

Cons

There is no support when something goes wrong. The support/help line takes hours to days to respond, no matter how immediate or critical the problem is.

Do not use this software! really, Wait staff like it but is a nightmare for management !! and i am pretty sure by now that most of those good reviews online are fake!!dont get fool

easy to split bills , and look great on paper.

NO SUPPORT !!!!! waited hours for call back and now tried to call back since i need it really bad ! and nothing!!

### "Misrepresented their product"

Angry. Their online ordering platform (the reason I purchased the product) is a flimsy take-out/delivery app. No presales. They told me it could manage ticket sales. Their onboarding was way too difficult. It took 83 days to get too the point of having our online merchant account set up. After 90 days the system is non refundable. They are now holding me to a two year contract for a system that does nothing great.

Pros

The promise that it would stream line the components of my business.

Cons

Customer support will pass you from one person to another

The sales person was so confident that this would work for all aspects of our operation, with an ability to add reservations and loyalty.

### "Convenient and modern"

Pros

Touchbistro is what we used at my previous job as a server. We made the transition from paper tickets to this POS and it made a world of difference. The learning curve was quite easy and our company really benefited from switching over. One of my favorite parts of this software is that there are menu photos available that you can show customers right at the table and it’s all in the convenience of an iPad!

Cons

This worked well for a small menu restaurant, but not sure if it would be as efficient for a restaurant with a huge lengthy menu, only because it’s kind of tricky to access and make adjustments to items

The system is great with a few flaws, several times the system will not allow servers to log in , the message says , the server might be down, also the system is always updating therefore leaving the system non operational. The system is now unassigning servers which makes it impossible to determine who made the sales, that leaves the door open to theft. Pretty good system but a little to expensive for all of the headaches , over priced by about $$$ . Other category issues.

Accuracy of accounting.

Cons

System always shuts down. Orders not always show up on the screen.

Pros

Fairly intuitive, easy to program and make changes quickly. Provides significant helpful reporting functions.

Cons

There are a few features we would like to see that currently do not exist but they are not major ones. We have offered suggestions to the company and expect to see some of those ideas in the future.

### "Just a TOUCH away!"

Pros

I think the most beneficial aspect about this product is that it works pretty much like anything or any app that we have on our iPad,iPod or iPhone these days. During the large turnovers that some restaurants may have with servers coming and going there can be a lot of training to be done and usually the core menu is the main focus. Not much time is spent on learning the POS system being used. Sometimes some questions may arise at a crucial and busy time like a lunch or dinner rush. Through experience I can say that I was caught in a busy dinner rush and had ordered a plate by accident and wasn't sure how to delete it and through "iPhone intuition" I simple swiped right like you would on a iPhone. Makes me feel comfortable with it and I am not intimidated at all and it is almost all self taught.

Cons

Its hard to pick what would be my least favourite aspect, but I think it would be the fact that the menu is a little small because it is only shown in the top right corner

Great for small mom and pop style shops only

Cons

Organizes bills by FIRST name only, or order time... Not by LAST name... And there is no option to SEARCH for a tab under a specific name. SO if you are a high volume bar or restaurant your staff spends a ton of time scrolling through hundreds of tabs to find the right one... I would give 5 STARS all around for this if they would fix this problem... BUT there seems to be no fix in sight yet.

Before Touch Bistro we were using the ol' pen and paper system. Tickets would get lost, tabs weren't getting paid and all our employees were charging different prices! We finally grew up! Touch Bistro is not only affordable, I'm sure it actually makes us more money!

Pros

Works just like an iPhone, so training is a breeze! Our younger employees actually pick it up so fast, they end of training our more senior staff members!

Cons

Our main (and perhaps only) problem is in the programming and the printing process. Most of our orders are custom made sandwiches and with the choices of ingredients we offer, it can be slightly overwhelming. I would like better control over the order the ingredients print, so they are the same every time, regardless of which order they are out into the system.

I have 3 restaurants using touchbistro. i am happy with the service, the app, and the way it works. But the monthly fees year after year are very expensive. to be honest, for the same price of 1 years fees, you can get a great system with no monthly fee. If they want to keep customers like me, after the first years, a drastic reduction in monthly fee will be necessary.

works well, easy to use and train, good features, and good customer support

Cons

yearly fees every year makes me wonder if it is worth it.
