They sucker you in with promotional pricing and say that you can cancel within the trial period but when it comes time to cancelling the useless software they try to hit you with a massive bill. Seriously dont do it!

Pros

I liked that it was cloud based, that way when there are issues with the crap system you can go see what they are :)

Cons

most of the functionality, some of the features shown to us in a live demo did not work on the system, and yes i contacted customer support many times

### "Dark table on touch bistro "

We have been with Touch bistro for over 4 years now . Very smooth and easy to use . It does occasionally crash , but resorted easily with a restart of the app . We noticed a price increase and we hope they keep it affordable .

Easy to use . Perfect size . Love the cloud feature .

I opened a new restaurant and found this system easy to install and easy to train staff on it. I would highly recommend to others

Don't know it is great . What I like least about this product is I'm required to write things I don't like and there aren't any

### "Nightmare Company "

Over the course of a few weeks the Touch bistro representatives pressured my very sweet and kind partner into their product and never spoke with me (the decision-maker) About anything! They had our bank take me off as an owner along with merchant services all to make a sale. When I found out they refused to even talk with me about it and have never refunded my money. We never used hey second of their service and still they stole our money. High pressure criminals who will do ANYTHING to get your money. That includes breaking the law. Do not trust them, do not deal with them unless you want to be lied to, deceived and robbed.

Pros

There is absolutely nothing I liked about Touch bistro or those associated with it!

Cons

Shady, unworkable, zero customer service, fraudulent with extremely shifty people there.

### "Great Price, Missing a Few Features"

Overall, the product is so far very stable and easy to set up. It always takes a time to get acclimated with new systems, but this one is pretty intuitive and they have some good videos/tutorials to get the staff up to speed. Having used it for a couple weeks now, there are a few features that are hard to work around. One is the fact that you can't have an inclusive tax on select items (alcohol). You can set up an inclusive tax, but it is either for ALL of the items or none. Big oversight as the majority of bars/restaurants that I've ever been to (mine included) have the tax included in the alcoholic drinks, but not on the food. Another major issue is you can not add a seat to a tab. A major feature I liked was the ability to preauthorize cards/tabs, but this is often nullified by the fact that I can't add a seat to a tab, and the workaround that I would normally do (attach a card to a table) is not an option either. One of these things is not good, the fact that I can do neither is a real pain.

Prior to using TouchBistro, my brewery was using several different systems (cash register, cc With TouchBistro, not only have we been able to reduce our transaction times to mere seconds, we now have "one stop shopping" for all of our necessary business data like sales, labor, inventories.

Pros

I like the ease of daily use, set up, and how I can change menu items in less than a minute!

Cons

The Cloud Reporting is currently still in beta phase. I really wish all the bugs were ironed out.

I enjoy the software, but the last update caused my debit machine to not work and I lost a lot of money. It's also been operating slower that when I first used it.

Slow to react to commands sometimes and forced updates at random times of day. No rounding function for pennies so my cash NEVER balances, which sucks for accounting purposes and I'm unable to hold staff accountable for unbalanced cash outs.

I highly recommend this POS, I have location and I’m currently working on opening a second one and I already have my system ready.

Pros

It’s so easy to set up and use! As long as you are familiar with apple products you won’t have any problem understanding the POS

Cons

I didn’t like that I can’t make changes while the restaurant is opens because it will Slow down the system.

### "If you need to run open tabs, don’t get it!"

I would look very seriously at other solutions, as well. I went with this, because of the sakes person and marketing. Next time I will spend more time in review, and testing.

Pros

The best day for support is Sunday otherwise getting through to their calls center is a challenge.

Cons

The continuous errors I get when using remote menu management. The iPad solution is bulky and instantaneously a guest dropped one, and there you go. The payment processing swiper is not attached solidly, and the battery life is not even a day.

Great app, TB needs to get up to speed with competition.

Pros

Ease of use is good. Tracks cost of goods and payroll time and cost. We liked the floor layout for our restaurant.

Cons

The merchants you are required to use are double that of Square. Supports acts like your call is inconvenient and pushes you off the phone. Square cost nothing and they helped us every step of the way. TB.

Implementing more modern technology that supports multiple-location organizations is essential for Touchbistro.

Pros

Basic register features are intuitive, staff pics it up quickly. Good options for item modifiers and other restaurant menu nuances.

Cons

It only works effectively for single locations. Reporting is for single locations only. Menus changes need to be repeated for each location - making changes is therefore very time-consuming. Managing hours is only done on the ipad. Doing changes while taking customer orders is obviously problematic.

The implementation team is very arrogant, not knowledgeable and irresponsible Poor support after go live. Calls are not returned promptly

Ease of use. Cloud based service with on-premise server as well. Web reporting is real time.

Cons

Seriously lacking basic features in Self-Service Kiosk: Example: Kiosk cannot issue itemized receipt in print or email. Kitchen printer does NOT print useful information like order number when the order is placed in Kiosk. Also Kiosk is very UNSTABLE. Frequently errors out with the message "TBAP error" PLEASE DO NOT USE TOUCHBISTRO. Go for LightSpeed instead. We are planning to scrap TouchBistro and go for another solution lke LightSpeed

Table side ordering. Ease of use.

Pros

We like many of the features of the product. Table side ordering with photos etc. if there is a problem with hardware you can just buy a new i-pad , download the app and you are up and running again.

Cons

No remote access. If you want to go in and make changes you must be within wifi range of the server. Auto updates have a way of auto kicking you off the system. Not very good tech support. A different answer from different people regarding the same problem.

### "Need better options for taxes "

In order to be really useful you need to develop the software to accommodate the Ontario tax code. Setting up the menu to collect the correct taxes is a pain.

Overall TouchBistro is an overall letdown. I have reached out to management many times in an effort to find a positive path to move forward and Touch has not been willing to course correct any of their issues.

Pros

The system is Ipad functional. Other than that I have yet to realize many positive benefits.

Cons

The technicians did not properly assess the amount of routers needed when quoting, then the application was in demo mode so we lost revenue for the majority of opening night. Customer Service I called into inquire of the likelihood of card service shutting off due to an issue I was reassured this would not occur literally hours later it absolutely happened in the middle of dinner service.

Pros

TouchBistro is so intuitive and easy to learn and use! It is a breeze teaching new staff members how to use the system. They catch on so quickly and it becomes second nature for them with user-friendly buttons and tabs. Our customers always comment on how cool TouchBistro is while we are taking their order or when we ask them to complete the order by signing on the screen. All around, everyone enjoys TouchBistro very much at Tasty Tails!

Cons

I would love to be able to change pricing and menu items through the computer and syncing it to the other iPads.

the absolutely worst company i've ever dealt with 99% of the tech's don't have a clue as to what is going on. i have spent more time on the phone trying to fix issues with this system than running my business. the worst!!!!

Pros

NOTHING COMPLETE GARBAGE.... DON"T WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME...

Cons

broke at least once a week during lunch rush. couldn't even process CASH payments

### "Waste of money"

System crashes constantly, have to unplug it every few minutes, and it takes about 4 minutes to reboot, lost hundreds in daily sales. The tech support dept is useless, was told several times “I don’t know what’s going on”. Had this for less that 2 weeks, now they don’t want to issue a refund after I spent $1800 on it. BEWARE

There are absolutely no pros to this software

Cons

Horrible technical support. They were unable to help, and the common response seems to be “I don’t know what’s going on”
