That is a bold statement to make about an app, but I honestly believe Kanbanchi increased my quality of life. Since using Kanbanchi, I have been more productive. The intuitive user interface makes using the application a joy; I don't have to fight with clunky or awkward buttons or navigations. Also, since the app seamlessly integrates with my G Suite for education account I can use Kanbanchi with my students and coworkers. I now look like a hero. Pros Intuitive user interface and pleasant user experience, G Suite for work integration, simplicity, basic version offers ample feature (and I still paid for a pro account) Cons I cannot think of any cons. Kanbachi does have a lot of additional options for a more precise control and integration, but it is not required to use all of them to be ready to go, which is a major plus in comparision to other project management platforms. Cons I found a little confusing the per-seat pricing, it can lead to a heacy costs for small - medium organizations. But the platform also does offer lower tier and discounts. Pros The ability to put in the task using recurring and due date for a reminder on what need to be done on a monthly basis such as payment of statutory deductions. Pros I love the ease of use! I use a Kanban Board to communicate with someone I support. In lieu of constant chat pings and emails, we communicate status of 'asks' on the Kanban board. This ensures that I am focussed 100% on her needs while I am in the Kanban board and it alleviates anxiety caused by unnecessary communication. During the procurement process, the Kanban team was responsive and collaborative. I am a huge fan! Cons I wish there were a better mobile version, like a proper app, in lieu of using my browser for Kanban-chi. Cons It didn't seem finished. There's not a lot of setting options and seems to still have some glitches. It works great for teams who don't have too many projects. I wish some keyboard shortcuts would work with it. We eneded up not using this product after the free trial was over. We could not afford to pay for student accounts. Pros Great tool for project management to keep students on top of projects. It works well with Google Apps for Education, saves in drive and sharing option is something the students are very used to. Moving the cards from To Do-> Doing-> is very easy. Cons When a new card is added the box with advanced features opens up covering half the board. It is easy to close, but sometimes students get a little lost in that process. August 10, 2017 4.0 Start working through a Kanban system work flow with my team collaborators. Pros It is very easy to use and the work environment is very friendly. It is integrated in Google Drive. That's really nice!!!! Their customer support answers you very quickly with the proper answer you need and they are open to explain you anything you need through the application or by e-mail. There are many options and features you can add to each task card: tags, colours, owners, comments, attachments... In addition, there are very usefull paid add-on features such as Gantt chart, subcards... Cons Thinking about a Kanban tool by itself, it would be very useful if there was a kind of time log for each task card to record the work progress, define the lead time, etc.: when you add a task card in your system, when you start working on it, when you stop it because of external issues, when you finish it... I'd say it's fair recommendation on how easy it is to grasp the idea of Kanban cards, even for non-techies! Cons I'm not completely happy with comments visibility on cards (there is not enough feedback about activity on the card). It would be really great if Kanbanchi would send notifications about deadlines. I might not go out of my way to get it, but it's okay for what we use it for Pros I like how easy it is to share a worksheet across multiple users and I also like that each user can see who added what to a checklist Cons I found it, and still find it, a little confusing when I want to add an item to a checklist. I end up creating a new checklist instead, which was not the goal. Pros The best part of this software is the ease of use and ability to share boards with anyone on our team. The process of learning how to use Kanbanchi was also very helpful. Cons None, we love everything about this product. If we had one recommendation for this software we would love to have a phone app that performed the same functions as the web application. December 16, 2016 5.0 This tool grouped with my Google business apps run my small business internally. I do a lot of project-based work and having the Kanbanchi helps me organize tasks, team members and execute to deadlines. I like it because it's simple, it isn't trying to be every PMP software out there. There is elegance in its simplicity and Kanbanchi can be an asset to a startup. Pros Simplicity Cons Needs better integration to google docs, when uploading documents find that also need to share the doc in Google docs and Kanbanchi. It would be great that if someone is on a task the sharing rules in the Google doc automatically updated to those enabled on the dashboard or task. Review Source April H. Used the software for: ### "A Google App That Delivers Better Project Management and Easy Collaboration" March 19, 2015 5.0 Kanbanchi is a a Google App that is easy to set up and start using. It's integration with Google Drive delivers a familiar interface and features. I like using this app because it provides a complete view of current projects and tasks for not only myself, but also everyone on the team. It takes only a few seconds to create a board, add team members, and generate tasks. Everything can be easily tracked from the Dashboard. Since Kanbanchi is integrated with Google Drive, sharing project information and documents is a snap. It also has just the right amount of customization for fulfilling my specific needs. I lead a development team and I needed a tool for Kanban purposes. The best thing of Kanbanchi is the ease of use and the overall quality. For me, keep all the stuff related with the kanban board, into my Google Drive account, is very confortable and important! I can share card between team members, and follow theirs actions. We use this to organize our work into planned, in progress and completed. We also have a backlog board we can use to track requests that we'd like to complete in the future. I like the the task features the most because I can add tasks and check them off as I do them. Once the tasks are done, it then changes the completion percentage. Pros I really enjoy how easy it is to use and add new team members. I also enjoy how you can make multiple Kanban boards. Another cool feature is that the software is free for use. Product management Consumer Goods Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great app that includes some useful features Trello doesn't have" February 24, 2019 4.0 Great app with lots of potential, but with no mobile app. Pros Love how it's got some native good customization features that Trello doesn't (you'd need Power-Ups, which are not free). You can colour cards, make subtasks with different timing set for each one (so when you tick one lengthy subtask, it shows a bigger percentage of the card as done), and some other small but quite useful features. Cons The #1 reason I quit using Kanbanchi (and told the staff about that several times) is the fact that they didn't prioritize making a mobile app or mobile-friendly site. Not even a simple-yet-useful optimized or mobile site. No way of taking making cards on the go (or adding some important update) before you forget (or have to resort to reminders). It's a great app if you're only using it at work and don't need to take notes on the go, but on the contrary, it might not be a good option. The #2 reason is that the pricing isn't quite freelancer & student friendly in my opinion... And it hasn't got many external integrations. But that's sort of okay. Pros Quick and easy way to capture and manage a to do list, either personal to do, or team / project to dos. Cons Would be even better if there were a way of "pushing" to do items from GMail onto a Kanban board. Adding actions is quick, but if you want to go on and assign them to people or add a due date, this feels like it takes a couple of clicks more than it should. I would want to be able to extract To-Do lists into other software (e.g. MS Project and GIF/JPG/PNG) to use in status reports or share with people not on the same system. Review Source BS Ben S. Pros Very quick and easy to get started, plus the free trial allows you to be sure you are making the right decision. Clear and simple design means learning time is minimised and the current state is easy to see. Ability to email cards to a board is extremely useful Cons Unfortunately, lack of an API means automation and/or further integrations aren't possible.
