Pros
Our org was small, and a nonprofit to boot. Pricing was ideal for us, and the functionality we got in return was superb.
Helps me build healthy customer relationships and make more money doing so. I recommend for start-ups.
Cons
There's been ZERO updates that I recall in the past 5 years using Mad Mimi. It seems that Go Daddy bought them out and they have no plans to update the service in any way.
The templates designs are very poor and customizing a template (colour, layout, etc) is too limited and difficult.
"Great for Organizations of All Sizes"
Overall: Mad Mimi made it possible for our small nonprofit to keep in touch with our email list, inform them of events, policy changes, new staff members, and other changes that happened, avoid sending to people who unsubscribed, and all while staying on brand and in an easy to read format. Creating newsletters became a joy rather than a chore.
Pros: Our org was small, and a nonprofit to boot. Pricing was ideal for us, and the functionality we got in return was superb. Building a newsletter was too easy! We liked being able to design a master template, and update monthly to stay on-brand without breaking the bank or having to hire an outside firm. Our communication looked professional, and our entire staff could sign on and use it with ease.
Cons: Our least favorite thing about Mad Mimi is they charge per login address. Most of the platforms do this, so we found ourselves leaning on one person to handle the email marketing and newsletters. If we could change one thing, it would be to have at least two log-ins for the price of one, and then pay more if we wanted 3 or more.
"Getting older by the day. "
Overall: What Mad Mimi does well it does really really well... and for a great price. So it's such a pity that 'Go Daddy' shows it no love since acquiring it. Clearly business is business. The pricing is great, the interface is easy, and the emails look great, but it's a dinosaur glaring at a meteor in space... it's just a matter of time.
Pros: Clutter-free, easy to use and a tidy interface. Relatively fast also. The emails look great, a great block editing system.
Cons: Lack of automation and integration. There's been ZERO updates that I recall in the past 5 years using Mad Mimi. It seems that Go Daddy bought them out and they have no plans to update the service in any way. So it really is just a matter of time before it becomes unusable. The complete lack of automation and no new integrations is driving me to look for a new option.
