### "Buyer beware"

August 5, 2024

1.0

First of all, users need to know that if you are unhappy and decide to switch to another EHR, Central Reach does not give you a copy of your patient records. Each patient document has to be individually downloaded by you, which is a 4 step process that does not keep your naming conventions. Central Reach may have some of features that you need or would like, but each individual feature is a high additional monthly cost to add on. The software is cumbersome, clunky and not at all user-friendly. Reports are also clunky and require a ton of manual modification to be usable, and do not contain all of the information you would commonly need. Supposedly, you can have better reports turned on for your practice, but it costs significantly more. The basic mobile site does not work for your BTs and. After many years of making it work, with tons of service disruptions because the software was down for sometimes days at a time, and not trusting that the high additional monthly costs would make it that much better for us, we decided to switch to a different platform, only to be told that they had automatically renewed our annual policy a full month before it was due for renewal, insisting that our contract had been on auto-renewal for years even though they manually renewed with us every year prior. They then pointed us to a subsection of their website that stated that contracts will be automatically renewed at their discretion and that cancellations need to be requested more than 45 days in advance of the renewal date, which again, I had done, but because they renewed our annual contract a month early without notifying us, they did not count our notice as sufficient and were unwilling to discuss this, acting as if their hands were somehow tied. This company does not care at all about their customers, they only care about squeezing every last dollar out of you for a subpar product. Buyer be very very wary.

Pros

I'm honestly having trouble identifying a positive thing about Central Reach.

Cons

Complete lack of transparency around contracts, billing, and patient data.

### "CentralReach For ABA Data Collection and Storage"

February 17, 2021

4.0

I am able to record and store all my clients data easily in one safe place.

Pros

I like how systematically prompt fades as the client got closer to acheiving our behavioral targets. It was relatively simple to use and I use it for 7 hours each day so that's a huge help!

Cons

Although I know that it's imperative for the system to log out after a period of pause for HIPPA reasons, however, I wish the system let you stay logged on for a bit longer since I would constantly have to re-log back in during the time I was administering DTTs.

### "Central Reach and ABA"

April 10, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Central region has been really good, really user-friendly and really easy to grab a hold of it

Pros

What I like about Central, which is that is a software that has only information and it’s really useful, friendly, including the mobile app to just take data or just to have information as an HR admin, it’s a really good and forward software to make everyone’s life easier and it doesn’t matter if it’s from the clients’ end or company’s

Cons

As good as it is, what I like the least about reach is how general it can be, and how specific permissions cannot be provided

### "Total Lack of Sales Integrity"

April 21, 2020

2.0

I very much regret this purchase and am even considering making a switch AGAIN despite the high switching costs. I had a good customer success lead but she couldn't do anything to help the fact that we had a sales rep who over promised and could not deliver.

Pros

Clean interface, customized forms. Pricing is okay.

Cons

I finally have to review this because I am so frustrated with this software! So much was promised during the sales process and once we were well into implementation, one by one these things were denied. Additionally, as soon as you "go live" you are directed to use the support ticket function for any questions or issues, and they direct everything to an Ideas Portal which is not maintained.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing CentralReach

### "Good overall"

November 21, 2024

4.0

The system is user friendly - Both employees and clients can use the system to keep track on the progress and communicate - Employee can convert notes of session easily. Set up is easy. Integrated with insurance company for easy reimbursement' Some reporting may be tricky. With the constant support and changes this platform is a good option

Pros

Customer service is amazing as you have your own manager attach to your account- Always improving to make client experience easier- Robust learning platform for ABA industry. The learning platform is growing and adapting to client demand.

Cons

The help SOP are not always up to date-Agent send them over and you have to reach back until you can get help. Scheduling AI at a starting point program- We have not save time yet with this additional tool. Reporting and tracking in the Learning platform is weak, Making it hard to follow progress on the learning side.

### "I've been around the block!"

April 27, 2023

5.0

has opened up so many more avenues for our company to be able to expand and grow within the field of ABA treatment. They continue to offer more and more features and work to perfect those features. The support that comes with the system is exceptional as well! Whenever we have questions about whether we can do something or not, the answer is immediate.

Pros

When I first started using I was in a Senior level position. I will be honest that I was intimidated by all of the features and functions within CentralReach but as I began learning more and practicing within the system, I caught on quickly and easily. I was most impressed by CentralReach Learn and all of the clinical features that were available to me. From data collection options for my clients to reviewing that data collected, CentralReach made the process quick and easy for me over the traditional paper and pencil methods I was used to.

Cons

Like every electronic data collection tool, there are going to be glitches in the system. When those glitches occur, they halt client sessions and sometimes client progress. Thankfully, offers the option of printing paper data sheets in the event electronic data collection is not an immediate option (whatever the reason may be). There is also the CR Mobile application allowing for offline data collection in a pinch, which makes the pains that technology can hold at any given moment, much more bearable.

### "Do not use for ABA data collection purposes"

November 17, 2021

2.0

The technical difficulties combined with the very complicated user experience make this a platform I discourage ABA providers from using.

Pros

The calendar views, authorization management and utilization are great to use.

Cons

The process to setting up data collection for ABA providers requires a huge amount of response effort compared to other platforms like Catalyst. The procedures are so disjointed between the overall data book, the goals, importing curriculums, I work twice as hard to include relevant info. In order to be compatible with their reporting system, you have to place information at goal levels that should be at target level or enter it twice if you wish to access it logically for data analysis. The graph view does not allow for trends across anything but an entire time period (does not adjust per month or 3 month period for example), if you switch data to per week or month, goal and phase change lines disappear. You cannot view an average of data. The reports generated looked very unprofessional and you cannot alter graphs to different views unless you manually delete them and re-import. The list goes on. The CONSTANT tech issues lead to problems with session timers, saving data, trouble with rates that took months to resolve, and often a complete inability to access any necessary parts of the platform during business hours. At least 1 time per week there are issues, sometimes more. Our clients and staff pay the price for this.

### "Too expensive to not care"

May 29, 2024

3.0

POOR! Central Reach has not provided us with an adequate solution for issues with Change Healthcare and the cost keeps creeping up with no discounts for bundling at ALL.

Pros

Good overall Practice management solution.

Cons

Expensive, additional functionality cost more, poor customer support.

Reason for choosing CentralReach

At that time, the sales pitch was great and I was lead to believe that I would implement just the practice management or the clinical piece separately. I then found out that they both have to be implemented and even though they are licensed separately, each user needs both licenses to do anything.

### "System is crashed and down more than it works"

January 26, 2022

1.0

Terrible. Barely any customer service. Can't get immediate help. Have to email and hope to get a reply. We pay thousands of dollars a month for a service that is spotty at best and non-existent for over a week.

Pros

It's a one stop shop. You can do scheduling, data entry, billing.

Cons

It is the most inconsistent software I have ever used. We have been a whole week with either the system barely working or being down completely. I would like a refund for the month of January and money back for the amount of effort and cost that we have to put in for the back work we have to do. Our staff is taking data on paper because this system won't work. I can't pull timesheets for payroll or bill out our claims. They also nickel and dime you for everything. And then they will "sunset" a product you use, and then charge you hundreds of dollars more for a new product that you need to use because they got rid of the product that they originally sold you.

### "CentralReach "

October 29, 2019

4.0

Overall my experience has been pretty good with but I have had some hiccups that have a driven me crazy.

Pros

I like how easy it is to take data on each client and how easy it is to add a new goal. I feel like all school systems should use a program like this to have their special education teachers take data and allow the para professionals that are in those special education classrooms to take data easier and more streamlined I feel like all school systems should use a program like this to have their special education teachers take data and allow the paraprofessionals that are in those special education classrooms to take data easier and more streamlined.

Cons

when running a therapy session with my client in Home I use my cell phone to login via the Internet and I have to keep logging in several times over the course of the therapy session that last for several hours and feels like the software runs really slow and doesn’t always add my data. I recently had to log out and log back in several times for it to even begin to register that I was trying to take data and the session wouldn’t load properly. Seems like there are a lot of online app technical difficulties while using the program on the Internet via a Mobile device. I have also had issues with the program being able to load my session notes section properly on Saturdays. Very frustrating that on Firefox on a Mac session notes works most of the time but on a PC trying to Do session notes there’s a lot of difficulty with drop-down boxes not being activated when I know they should be and this happens frequently on a Saturday.

### "Features and Functions"

November 7, 2019

5.0

It is great to be able to connect and view other employee schedules, as well as client information that is pertinent to my job requirements. I love being able to schedule and adjust appointments for clients as well as being able to update programs and target goals for a client so that my team can know what we need to work on and focus on while they are with a client.

Pros

There are a lot of available features to Central Reach, some of which I have tried using and they are for the most part straightforward and easy to figure out. Within my company, we seem to use a smaller subset of the available features that Central Reach offers, though these are the bulk of what we need and utilize within the ABA services of the company, such as the sessions, data collection, program books, and graphs of the data collected during sessions.

Cons

There seem to be a number of functions that aren't accessible to everyone, which is fine as I may not need to utilize it for my own job. I would like to have the opportunity to play around with some of the functions for instance in the reporting tab to see some of the charts and graphs in there and to see how they could relate to my own job areas. I do realize though that this would be something my company may need to provide access to.

### "Dueling Data Collection Programs"

October 1, 2022

4.0

Communication with the support team was always quick and clear, they work as quickly as possible to get their system back up and running.

Pros

I love the editing ability to group goals according to therapeutic focus that session.

Cons

Functionality! When the software works, it's a dream. When it doesn't, you lose everything. If there's no data, it virtually didn't happen, and programs aren't assessed appropriately.

### "OPINION ON CR"

October 29, 2019

4.0

Pros

I've been working with for the past 9 yrs it's the one thing I recommend to all new billing companies and providers looking for a billing plateform. It has everything I need to get my job done. The only thing I would seriously look at as how it's set up to generate secondary claims. This is the one big issue I have with CentralReach, and I have several clients that have a primary and secondary insurance and this part of CentralReach has made my life very difficult! Otherwise I love it! thank you!

Cons

generating secondary claims, this needs to be changed (remove the # of times a payment can be posted from the first) sometimes the claim can be denied for whatever reason but a $0 payment needs to be posted anyway.

Reason for choosing CentralReach

I was familiar w/it from previous company.

### "CentralReach Review"

November 7, 2019

4.0

was required by my company. Once I got the hang of it, I now prefer it for its consistency and legibility. I believe I am only aware of a fraction of what the software has to offer. Sending out emails with random facts of what it provides maybe monthly could be beneficial.

Pros

is easy to navigate once you learn the basic components/strategies. It is constantly coming out with new features and trainings to ensure smooth usage.

Cons

When the software is down or slowed, which is fairly often, it does not notify you with an alert stating “technical difficulties” or something of that nature so that you are aware it’s a universal glitch compared to personal complications (e.g, WiFi connection, etc.) Additionally, when you submit support tickets, sometimes there is no follow up.

### "Excellent, allows my practice management in mental health, and physical therapy and speech. "

April 7, 2018

5.0

The benefits are multiple, is the leading provider of records management software and electronic health practices for clinics focused on the analysis of applied behavior (ABA) and CentralReach, the leading provider of electronic health record and practice management software for clinics focused on applied behavior analysis (ABA) and speech therapy.

Pros

I like most is that this cloud-based system complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Likewise, it is very favorable that includes applications for billing, programming, image file systems, human resources and more. Its functionalities include a database of medicines, ICD-10 coding tools and reference letters. Also that the native application of CetralReach is available for iOS and Android platforms.

Cons

I like least is that some more professionals spend more time on administrative work than working with clients. I consider it a company in the process of maturation.
