Do not try to if you have an older phone! Pros Appy Pie gives users the opportunity to build a mobile app without deep coding experience, but that experience leaves a lot to be desired. It was a drag and drop builder pre-vibe coding, a relic now and it should have remained a fossile. Cons The menus are confusing and poorly executed, and many locked behind paywalls with better features. They talk about their free trial, but actual execution or publication almost isn't possible without becoming a paying customer. Even the paying customer apps, however, have a cookie cutter feeling to them - and that is not a pretty cookie. You've seen these apps before - and once you realize it, you won't unsee them. They are the most basic apps and sites out there. The aesthetic is cheap. Cons Advanced customizations involve additional learning or pay access, and certain design features or integrations are limited, perhaps avoiding distinctive branding or functionality for premium use cases. They offer great value for money, excellent support, and some really good options. Pros The Platinum package with added support is a great option for anyone with little/no experience wishing to build an app. The additional support when it comes to submission to the app stores is well worth it. Cons It's minor, but if I had to pick on something I'd say that their online support isn't 24/7, but I've only logged on once or twice an been unable to reach someone. Pros I like the concept of making a drag and drop app without using coding and the app process creating it was a little challenging but not too hard and I like the features that you were able to put into your app. Cons When it was finally time to get the app onto the app store it was a hassle because they test everything there and I had a app in the Google console for 22 days with no testing being done. A lot of the tutorials are dated and are not up to current versions especially when using the messaging part of it and having to use another source other than apple pie. That helped drive up our engagement and allowed to reach an audience that is more mobile than web. Pros It allowed me to create an easy-to-build storytelling app without coding. It’s wonderful for featuring our audio and news features in a mobile-first manner. Cons There is limited design flexibility you are often stuck with stiff templates.
