Pros There are no Pros. I did not get far into the first month when I noticed they had taken the fully $600 out of my card when it should have been $60 Cons I was trailing the software. To be able to fully test it I upgraded and was to be on a monthly plan. I then found out that they had taken out the yearly amount. I have then spend numerous emails trying to get a refund of the yearly amount less the first month fees. I am happy to pay for the first month as I do appreciate developing these tools cost money. Reason for choosing Appy Pie It was my first look at an App development tool. I normally like to subscribe to full software on a monthly basis to truely test them out. They are very prompt to your request. Never had a problem with the software. If the app ever needs to be rebuilt because of updates or changes which it will. In no time at all Appy Pie has it done, sends you a test link to see if you like it and if so they resubmit to app stores. It's fast and simple to create and to get your app up and running. And for any sections I had trouble with there was a help section that had the answers. The drag and drop made it even easier. Cons I wish there was just more features available for expanding the functionality of the apps created. And that when using the push notification, when a user clicks on the notification they could be taken to specific links. Like the news section for instance, when clicking on a notification for an article it takes you to the notifications system page and not the actual article that was created. Pros The app itself lets you drag and drop buttons, pages, functions—you name it— without a shred of development knowledge. It also has a great e-commerce section and you can link to big stores like Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon. It's also generally easy to use and lets you build an app within the hour. For a free platform, it does plenty. Cons \- The UX has clearly not been a priority. Right on the landing page, the CTA says "Get started," but as soon as you enter, two pop ups appear: one is a tooltip and the other is a message saying you can't do anything until you sign up. Just use "Sign up" as the initial CTA or ask people to sign up when they're done and want to save their work. Less invasive and frustrating. - The instructions for adding augmented reality are long, riddled with links, and are vaguely written. A decent writer could probably fix that and save users from hours of utter confusion. - Templates could use some updating and possibly tone down the use of stock photos. Less is more. No coding experience needed. if you can operate a Facebook account then you can create a mobile app. on top of all creating is free pay only when you want to publish so it's a 10 from me.
