Our overall experience has been positive from an operational perspective but more challenging from an enterprise IT perspective. SafetyCulture helped us move away from paper-based processes and provided operational teams with tools they could adopt quickly. The platform is effective at helping organizations begin their digital transformation journey, especially for inspections, audits, observations, training, and process documentation. As adoption increased, however, we encountered challenges around governance, identity management, employee administration, and long-term scalability. While the user interface is visually appealing, we observed frontline employees struggling to locate assigned training, understand account ownership, and consistently navigate certain day-to-day tasks. These issues became more noticeable in environments with shared devices and large numbers of operational users. Team collaboration features work well for managing actions and sharing information across departments, but the platform often feels optimized for departmental adoption rather than enterprise-wide governance. Frequent feature releases demonstrate active product development, but they can also create additional oversight and change-management requirements for IT teams. I would recommend SafetyCulture to organizations beginning their digital transformation efforts or replacing paper processes. However, organizations with mature enterprise requirements around governance, identity management, security, compliance, employee lifecycle management, and Zero Trust architectures should carefully evaluate whether the platform's administrative capabilities can scale alongside their long-term needs.

Pros

SafetyCulture was a good starting point for our organization's move from paper-based processes to digital inspections, audits, training, and operational workflows. We were able to standardize processes across multiple locations and give managers better visibility into activities that were previously difficult to track. The platform allows business teams to create and maintain forms without significant development effort, helping organizations achieve quick wins in their digital transformation journey. For companies looking to replace paper processes with a modern digital solution, SafetyCulture can provide value relatively quickly and with minimal technical resources. The user interface is modern and generally easy to navigate for supervisors, managers, and power users, while collaboration features help teams communicate findings, assign actions, and track completion across departments.

Cons

As our deployment expanded, several limitations became more apparent from an enterprise IT perspective. User provisioning and identity management required more effort than expected, particularly when attempting to integrate the platform into existing lifecycle management processes. Documentation and implementation guidance were sometimes difficult to reconcile with real-world scenarios. Employee management and access governance are areas where the platform struggles. Maintaining visibility into user accounts, controlling access consistently, and enforcing organizational standards can become challenging as environments grow. Permissions are not granular enough to support mature governance programs, separation of duties requirements, or least-privilege access models. Workflow and automation capabilities are also limited compared to more mature enterprise platforms. While simple processes work well, more complex approval chains, escalation paths, and multi-stage reviews often require process compromises or manual intervention. Email notifications can become difficult to manage at scale. Some users receive more notifications than necessary, while others struggle to determine which messages require action. Additional controls around notification management and targeting would improve the user experience. As our deployment expanded, several limitations became more apparent from an enterprise IT perspective. Safety Culture shows a lot of capacity for different action items but the dashboard is lacking. Also limited number of log-ins requires us to share credentials = no bueno

Pros

Safety culture interface has a clear format with bold design that makes it easy to read. The ability to tag in multiple users on same inspection is nice.

Cons

no flags or color indicators show on dashboard when action items are needing generated. this could easily direct labor where attention is needed without 100 clicks first

Everyone has been amazing to deal with, from onboarding, training and even a couple of times i needed to use the chat feature to request help. its been simple easy and everyone is always just so happy to assit.

Pros

The fact that its simple to use, but has a huge range of features for so many different aspects of business.

Cons

I feel like we're only scratching the surface of what it can actually do, so it feels like we have an iphone, but we're only using it to make calls, when its capable of even more than we know.

Very positive as the support team and on boarding help was brilliant and made it easy to get the app up and running

Pros

Ease of use for editing templates makes any changes needing to be made super intuitive so we can edit as we go

Cons

The additional cost per user is tough for a business that users fluctuate within the month. We may have 40 guys on site and then the next month 31

Positive! It's a very dynamic tool that offers a lot of customisability in a way that's logical and easy to follow. It's been easy to roll out and it offers a lot of potential for it's scope of use.

Pros

It has a very intuitive user face, it's easy to navigate, the functionality is logical and easy to understand. The inspection tool especially has set the standard for us, it's logic and capabilities are awesome.

Cons

The back end set up can be a little bit messy, and there are some shortfalls in the assignment functions. There's no way to see someone's progress through a module, no notifications for when an assignment has been submitted, and no indicator when an assignment has been submitted but not yet marked.

My overall experience with SafetyCulture has been very positive. It is easy to use, saves time during inspections and audits, and helps improve visibility of safety issues across the team. The ability to capture information quickly, assign actions, and keep records organised makes it a practical tool for risk and safety management. It supports a more proactive approach to safety rather than just reacting after problems occur.

Pros

SafetyCulture saves time and makes safety management much easier to keep on top of. I like how inspections, audits, actions, and reporting can all be managed in one place instead of relying on paper forms or scattered documents. It helps create a stronger safety culture because issues are easier to record, track, and close out.

Cons

Some setup and template customisation can take a little time at the start, especially if you want the system to match existing site processes. Once it is set up properly, it becomes much easier to use.

Been using Safety Culture for many years and am happy with the app; I would suggest it to new safety personnel to help them learn to create inspections.

Pros

Easy to communicate with tech support and quick response, and when support is needed. Awesome app to use.

Cons

Finding new templates when in a rush to create an inspection, while using a phone app it doesn't offer the same as a computer.

My overall experience with SafetyCulture has been very positive. It has significantly improved how we manage workplace safety, conduct audits, and track compliance. The platform feels modern and reliable, and it has helped streamline processes that used to be time-consuming and paper-based.

Pros

The biggest advantage of SafetyCulture is its ease of digitizing inspections and audits. Creating checklists is simple, and the ability to customize them based on different operational needs is extremely useful. The mobile app works smoothly, allowing teams to perform inspections on the go. Real-time reporting and analytics provide clear visibility into safety performance, which helps in faster decision-making. Email notifications ensure that important updates and issues are never missed.

Cons

While the platform is powerful, there is a slight learning curve for new users, especially when setting up advanced workflows or custom templates. Some features could be more intuitive, and occasional lag in syncing data can disrupt workflow. Pricing can also feel a bit high for smaller teams.
