Pros User-friendly for time sheet and expense entry. Does have helpful and useful PM functions. Somewhat intuitive to set up - but if set up is incorrect, be ready to restart from zero. Regular webinars provided which are very helpful. Cons Very buggy using more complex functions. Error messages are unhelpful. Can do a thousand thing poorly/with difficulty/with error messages but wish it did just a couple dozen easily and flawlessly. Integration with QuickBooks is a great idea but mostly does not work the way it should. Beware of using anything other than their default storage. Expect regular up-sell emails. Expensive for what feels like beta-testing. Review Source JF John F. Employees, young and senior age, have no problem using the product to accomplish their daily activities. BillQuick conducts, at no cost, frequent training sessions where participants are encouraged to learn time saving ways to use applications. Employees in their tech department have a deep knowledge of the software. Their goal is to assist in what you want the application do. Tell the tech people what you want and they will get it done. "No problem" is their attitude. BillQuick has the best product at an economical price that I have found. Cons As you can tell, I like the product. BillQuick offers service/application discounts, usually for a very limited time period. Possibly these marketing efforts can be extended of existing and tech agreements users for a longer time period. It is usually easier and less expensive to sell more to an existing customer base. July 26, 2016 5.0 There are many facets that I love about BillQuick, it's hard to pick one. Its ease of use is high on my list along with price. We have been using BQ for almost 14 years, and I have seen great leaps and bounds since December 2002. An upgrade is released every year in which BQ tries to stuff as many improvements as they can, many requested by their customers. BQ is always looking for ways to improve, this software never remains static. Cons What I used to like the least was the difference in time zone. BillQuick is on the West Coast while we are located on the East Coast. I previously had to wait until close to noon to call Tech Support. However, they resolved this issue a few years by expanding hours to start at 6:00 a.m. PST which means I can now call for support at 9:00 a.m. No more delay! President Accounting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "BQE Support Service" August 15, 2016 4.0 Pros ArchiOffice is an easy way to track time both billable and non-billable and to generate client invoices. In addition, ArchiOffice is able to run specific reports to help track phases and time by individual employees. Cons Some aspects are not intuitive. Running specific detailed reports can be a troubleshooting process until you happen to check and uncheck the correct check box. There is no user "How To" manual for reference or short video clips to view. It would be nice to see a page of every report that ArchiOffice can generate, use a dummy project and print out what is possible. I am sure that there are so many other features that our company could benefit from if we only knew the capabilities of ArchiOffice (without joining a training session that cost money) Review Source HS Holly S. Owner / CPA Accounting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "BillQuick for a Small Accounting Firm" October 28, 2016 5.0 I've used BillQuick for about 10 years now and continue to rely on it for ease of time keeping for me and my staff. It provides a quick month end billing solution for my flat fee customers and gives me the ability to quickly invoice the hourly customers. Once billing is done I "send" the information to QuickBooks in a seamless fashion. Pros BillQuick is a comprehensive billing program that allows for detailed time tracking with multiple clients, multiple jobs and multiple employees. The billing results are much more professional looking then just an invoice from QuickBooks. And the reporting allows for a higher level of management analysis, which is a key ingredient to successfully managing a small accounting firm. Cons The learning curve was a little steep at first, but it's worth it. I had to invest the time to learn the program, just like we invest time to learn any new technology or software to do our jobs. Used the software for: ### "" July 1, 2013 2.5 We have been loyal Archioffice users since 2008. Despite a number of glitches in the V8 software, we were able to work around them and produce invoices quickly, and much more efficiently than our old method using Excel. I was a huge advocate of ArchiOffice and recommended it to many colleagues. However, every time I called Tech support with a problem, I was told it was because we had not ugraded to 2013. After a year of pressure, as well as being told V8 would no longer be supported, we finally took the plunge in January of this year. Without going into detail, the actual upgrade was a 1 week long nightmare costing our firm lost time and untold frustration. Since upgrading to 2013 (or downgrading actually), we have lost hundreds of hours of admin time trying to get around errors, talking to tech support and most importantly, explaining to clients why their invoices are so late and apologizing to clients for embarrassing calculation errors in their invoices. To add insult to injury, we were never informed that our previously supported accounting software was no longer supported by AO2013 so we are back to entering data manually. Fortunately, this extra work paid off, as my accounting software picked up mutiple Ao errors ranging from tax miscalcualtions, wrong balances and missed Admin fees. Currently, I am faced with only using AO only to produce a pretty invoice which I enter in my accounting software, and then correct on a Word doc adn save to my computer. We will be researching a new software before we spend thousands of dollars on this software again. Review Source LC Lara C. It's impossible to have a true billed-to-date for expenses and consultants because they are lumped together as an expense. I have been told that I can purchase a template just for our company that will do this but I think it should come as a feature already. Other than that, I think the BQuick is a very good program for the Architect industry. Pros Timesheet entry is very easy and only as accurate as your data entry. Prior to that we were using TimeSlips. The transition was a breeze and we have never looked back. We have found BillQuick to be a much more robust program overall, and BQE continues to add new features. The support team is spectacular and well worth the GoldSupport plan. BQE has done a great job when it comes to incorporating our feedback into updates. The program has a decent amount of flexibility, so with a little tweaking and some report customization, most companies should be able to suitably represent the information that is important to them. Pros Feature Rich, Customizable User Experience, Excellent Customer Support, Integration; although we're looking forward to the day when BillQuick eliminates our need for QuickBooks altogether. There are reports for everything from Profitability to Fee Schedules to User Permissions. Cons It's hard to complain about having so many reports, but despite their volume, at times we find that we need two different reports to show information that could have been incorporated into one. Pros We switched over to Core after using several other project/time management and accounting programs over the past several years. Since the switch to Core, we've been very happy with the results and the ability to automatically indicate to employees when they are overbudget on projects/tasks. Before we got BQE we would do everything by hand, when switching over it made thing go 10 times faster. Its a great software. It is great that it autosaves, there used to be many issues with our system shutting down and not saving hours and notes that were put in, BQE makes it so easy!
