It's been an excellent experience using Contractworks.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is and how easy it is to upload documents and move documents from one folder to another. Very easy to customize reports.

Cons

I would be nice to have a feature that lets you know when a reminder date ends up on a weekend so that it can be moved to a day during the week. No one wants to look at reminders on the weekend.

Pros

This is an excellent method for tracking key timelines in contracts.

Cons

The audit / review function could have one selection as "last month".

Pros

The software is easy to use, easy to upload, tag documents (automatically now) and run reports.

Cons

It operates only as a storage of signed contracts and documents. It doesn't have the capability of more sophisticated contract management platforms.

An easy to use, affordable contract management system, particularly for for those without internal legal resource who need to store and manage contracts, rather than generate and red-line them. Usually a 30 minute demo is enough for a new user to be able to get going as it is intuitive. The team are excellent and have provided timely, personalised support when it is occasionally needed.

Ease of use, intuitive interface, affordable pricing, unlimited users, ease of deployment, native e-sign functionality, excellent OCR

Reason for choosing ContractWorks

For a decentralised company (i.e. no central contract management function), most of the alternatives where too expensive based on the number of users we required and they also had lots of functionality that only an internal lawyer would use. Because of this the affordability meant the decision came down to a two way decision between ContractWorks and ContractSafe and our users universally preferred the ContractWorks interface.

Very positive. Great decision for an entity that needs a central contract repository.

Pros

I love how intuitive and easy to use this software is. I love that I can search for one word across an entire folder of documents for on-the-fly searching across my contracts.

Cons

I wish the search functionality was even more powerful - like and/or language.

Documents are being routed much more efficicently now. I can see where the document is in the approval process and actually have an answer for someone if asked. As opposed to previously, I couldn't tell whose desk the contract file was on.

Pros

I love the electronic signature feature. So much that my department puts everything in for electronic signature such as invoices, proposals, estimates, etc. I was asked to spear-head getting people used to receiving documents electronically and it has been well received.

Cons

Nothing so far! It seems to have no negative features

Positive. We've had a slow rollout to the rest of our company, but it has helped our initial tiger team get a handle on complex compliance and organization issues for a wide range of differing contracts.

Pros

Contract Works was my first foray into contract management software so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I appreciate most the easy way of creating and adjusting templates and tags.

Cons

The explanation language around alerts (contract dates) isn't as straightforward, for the way my brain works, as it could be.

I don't remember the names of the programs we looked at but frankly, the sales person did a great job informing me and spent time to show me exactly how it worked. Other companies did not seem to be as updated as ContractWorks

I view contractworks as a partner and just not a regular vendor. We had quarterly calls and they are very engaged with our site even though we do not have issues or bad blood. They proactively work with the my team to provide excellent support.

Pros

It did not add increase time spent on management to the IT, and the other administrators/management users. From project initiation, to closure, and then to operations it was one of the smoothest projects we implemented. Very easy to use and understand as well so training was a breeze.

Cons

I felt like this software created a foundation for us to go from a paper process to an electronic process. It created a centralized database for our contracts and we had to reorganize our processes for that. However, some users wanted the next level functions or automated processes. This would be nice but going from paper to electronic is already a big shift. It is great, but communicating to the stakeholders and users of what it can and what it cannot do is important.

Pros

ContractWorks is a simple, yet powerful tool that is intuitive and easy to learn/use. After demo-ing numerous other products, we determined that CW best fit our needs and we have been very happy with the product (especially the document management system and e-sign tool) since we lauched several months ago.

Cons

There are as many features as some other (more expensive) products but we found those features superfluous for our business needs.

Even though we're only beginning to scratch the surface of its functionality, ContractWorks is already proving to be a valuable tool for streamlining knowledge workflows and increasing cross-team efficiencies. ContractWorks' robust document management layer allows us maximum flexibility in the construction and operation of our database while its intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface has made it simple (and fun!) to implement the system across our organization. On top of all that, their customer service can't be beat!

Pros

Intuitive and easy to use; amazing customer service; tagging feature allows for quick and efficient searches.

Cons

At times there seem to be a few extra steps required to save documents from a search result. Have brought this to the attention of their support team and feel comfortable that they are working on improving this.

ContractWorks contacts have been very helpful and user friendly during the time we've been using the software.

Pros

I really like the ease of uploading an agreement or document and circulating for electronic signature. I am also partial to the tag feature that we're able to set-up allowing notices to be emailed regularly for staff required to file reports for certain agreement requirements.

Cons

The software does not turn off the automatic recurring email notices when an agreement expiration date is reached. They continue to be emailed and we have to remember to manually delete the notifications for each agreement.

Reason for choosing ContractWorks

we did consider two other products which I can't remember the names of after our initial search 2.5 years ago. We selected ContractWorks for ease of use and cost efficient pricing.

Excellent.

Pros

It is extremely easy to upload contracts and to tag. It helps to keep all contracts in one central location. I like the fact that folders can be set up with restricted viewers for confidentiality. Overall great product and extremely necessary.

Cons

This is not applicable for me. There is no "like least" that I can report on.

We have attempted to put a contracts management system, with storage and intelligent search and tickler capability, into place. We were unhappy with our previous choice, which was glitchy, slow and over-complicated. ContractWorks is a robust system that is easy to use, and provides the security we need as well. Sales, engineering, training and support are really good. I recommend them

It took me less than an hour to get the hang of entering a new contract and uploading the important pdfs. The contract renewal options (auto renewals) are simple and effective. processing over the internet is fast and reliable.

Pros

Ease of use. Speed of up and downloads. Custom report writing. Renewal options. Daily renewal and expiration reminders help make contract monitoring simple and effective.

Cons

Too easy to accidentally sign off the system by closing the browser. Takes a little practice to overcome bad habits.
