Pros

Easy management of time off, Really great, love that it integrates with Google. It lets everyone in the team manage their leave clearly and effectively.

Cons

The documents section didn't do what we needed - we would have liked to use it for onboarding and policy documents.

It's very simple yet helpful tool. We use it to manage your team's vacations and leaves from work during every week.

Cons

Calamari has completely streamlined our time tracking and leave management. The integrations with Google Calendar make it easy for everyone to stay updated without switching tools. It’s intuitive, flexible, and saves us time on HR admin.

Calamari is fantastic. Automating PTO tracking has improved our HR a great deal and eliminated the horrible task of manual tracking from my desk and from my mind.

Pros

Reasonable price, easy for employees to use, works consistently, solid integrations. It works better for us than higher priced alternatives.

Cons

PTO policy setup is a bit funky in the user interface and difficult to do, but they can help with that if you ask. Schedule setup is also strange, but my org is nearly all salary anyway.

Before using Calamari, we worked with a tool called Vacation Tracker, but it did not allow calendar sharing or include an approval workflow. After evaluating several tools, Calamari proved to be much better, although there is still room for improvement.

Pros

It allows me to manage vacations and paid or unpaid leave in a single portal.

Cons

It did not allow me to block certain dates to prevent employees from requesting vacation during peak work periods, but it did allow them to request sick leave, which is not something that can be controlled.

We’ve implemented Calamari across our international offices to streamline annual leave tracking and approvals. It has significantly reduced email back-and-forth and given our team more transparency around available leave. The onboarding process was quick, and support was really responsive when needed. For SME environments it’s a great solution.

The interface is intuitive and easy for both employees and managers to use. Setting up leave types, workflows, and user permissions is straightforward,

Some features are limited unless you add different packages, which could be frustrating for growing companies who are trying to determine which features they want/need

Pros

Calamari can be a little overwhelming at first (especially with no HR background), but once you got the hang of it it's a great tool. We use it for our business all the time. Had to ask the helpdesk some questions at several points in time and was helped really well (big ups to \[sensitive content hidden\]!)

Cons

Nothing bad to say about the system. We like everything it provides. Only good words from our side :)

I strongly recommend this service! Calamari provided a good solution to lots of our problems, Thanks to it, Everyday work has been easier than before. I love its multi-functionality and user-friendly interface.

Pros

User-friendly tool. Very easy and convenient tool to use. A lot of function. Especially good for controlling the working hours and off days and asking for day off. Mobile app is highly recommended.

Cons

Reporting section is kind of inconvenient. If employees change from full-time to part-time, then it is not easy to track time records.

the reactivity of Calamari team when we send a request by email; they are very helpful, and i love the videos they send to explain how to proceed; very practical

Cons

i don't like receiving everyday an email from Calamari about the presence it fills my inbox and is not relevant.

It is clear and user friendly. I think we are lacking come ideas how to use it more fully. Also, some reports could be possible to export to give it directly for the accountants.

I hope there is a feature like, when someone submit their annual/sick leave, admin can receive the notification via email as soon as the submission published. Right now, calamari only provide the reminder approval for the request that has been submitted

They divided each project with color it's easier to check on it

They are not providing 'employee data' feature anymore, such as: address, emergency number, etc

Before calamari we always had a problem to clarify who is available and many hours people were working. There was always a guy who add some hours. Now we have everything in one app

Okay, but I have to endure staff complaints after we transitioned from a former in-house program to Calamari with its shortcomings as mentioned above.

Pros

The fact that it is available as a Web app, Mobile App and can be integrated with MS Teams, etc.

Cons

The calendar should be improved across all platforms to give a first-glance distinction of approved vs pending approval requests, partial vs full day leave, clear and very visible identification of company holidays without the need to hover over the days to figure it out.

A good experience for years. It's constantly evolving and adding new features that makes easy the overall experience.

Cons

a Bulk system to review bad entries. Some coworkers are very bad at sign in to Calamari, and the administration people has to change one by one.

Pros

The platform is very easy to use and we have been able to implement to the business easily. Disappointed to lose some functionality with the HR module

Cons

wfm functionality is poor. We have attempted to use the timekeeping module with great frustration. the functionality for scheduling breaks etc is poor

This is great software for which I am grateful. My organization couldn’t afford their competitors, so Calamari met a need. My life is far simplified and my employees are happier thanks to Calamari.

Pros

The quality of Calamari is great, while being far less expensive than its competitors. My employees have had little trouble getting set up. Their customer service is also HIGHLY responsive and helpful.

Cons

The UI is not perfect. For time off tracking it is sufficient, but for time tracking it is tricky to figure out. I only have one employee who even might have used it, so we opted not to pay for that feature.
