I am blown away by OnlyOffice. Pros I like the functionality of the various components -- especially the email and Word Processor. I also like the CRM integration. One of my favorite things is the ability to link other online storage accounts (such as Box, Dropbox, etc) directly with the software. Cons Some of the loading times can be slow. Cons Some of the default settings setup are very strange; I would love to be able to change the default settings without having to go to every document and editing the settings manually. Pros I am using it for reading and editing documents, to create all kind of text documents, PDF and all kind of papers. Cons It is not fully compatible with Microsoft Office .docx, I had bad surprises on complex documents and was forced to use Office online. Pros If you don't have access (or can't) afford MS Office or a professional suite, then ONLYOFFICE can get the job done. It is a free version and very comparable to MS Office which makes it very user friendly. Similar to Google docs, all your files will be auto saved to a cloud drive so you have the security of not losing important work. You can also save files in multiple formats. Cons It is a bit slow and can be clunky at times compared to MS Office so you may need to have some extra patience. I'm getting a free personal version, so I can't comment on the value proposition for a business. I know this is probably stupid, but I like that OnlyOffice allows me to display formatting characters (like space, tab, enter). You might not need this every day, but it's something that I definitely thought was lacking in Google's over-simplified offerings. Cons Any online solution has drawbacks. OnlyOffice is certainly more feature-rich than Google Docs, but it still doesn't have everything that standalone MS Office offers. Review Source Donna R. You can retrieve from the cloud or from your desktop. Either way, you are covered. Pros The software is very similar to Microsoft products. In fact, I deem it quite similar and more compatible than Google docs, which I like also. The best part of OnlyOffice is that it is compatible with Microsoft in so many ways. When opening a file with Microsoft I lose little to no formatting. I can use it in WordPress and create awesome documents. It is a fantastic product. Cons I really do not see any cons. Pros We as a non profit organization, need to find a robust but not expensive solution for our daly work document processing. This is a great solution for our needs with no impact in our budget. We use Google Docs and what I like of OnlyOffice is how easy is to open a Microsoft format document instead of creating another copy with a different extension. I like the integration with several cloud services. I like the interfase, it is clean, intuitive and easy to assimilate. However, their formatting is so-so. OnlyOffice is great because it has the look of my favorite Microsoft Office applications but without the cost. I also love that I am able to save it in a Microsoft office format (i.e., .docx) so I can easily work between Microsoft Office products and OnlyOffice. Cons The only caveat that I see with this program is that when I use Google Docs and OnlyOffice, it defaults to OnlyOffice and I have to almost always sign into it. Review Source SAMUEL B.
