Overall, Consensus has been a great addition to my day to day sales process. It helps me engage with customers in a more personal and flexible way, gives me visibility into who’s really interested, and saves a lot of time compared to running full demos for everyone. It’s definitely helped me move deals forward faster and have more meaningful conversations with the right people.

Pros

What I like most about Consensus is how easy it makes it to get relevant content in front of my customers. A lot of the leaders I speak with, especially in law firms, don’t have time for a full demo, so being able to send them short, tailored snippets is a game changer. It helps me keep the momentum going in deals and gives buyers the flexibility to explore in their own time. I also really like the reporting and demolytics side, I can see who’s engaging, which features get the most attention, and even discover new stakeholders I didn’t know were part of the decision process. It’s been a really useful way to understand buyer interests and tailor my approach accordingly.

Cons

There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, especially when building out more complex demo flows or managing a lot of content at once. It took me a little time to get fully comfortable navigating the content management side and organising everything efficiently. Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty straightforward and easy to use day to day.

I have had a great experience in the few months that I have been using Consensus. I look forward to seeing all it can do to help me and our team succeed even more!

Pros

I absolutely love that I can track when prospects open up the videos and start watching them, as well as being able to see who they forward the link onto. This is something that we haven't had prior to utilizing Consensus and it's been a big game changer for me. The content that our team is now able to upload for the video summaries for our platform is great! Sometimes it's all I need to close a sale and not have to schedule a full 90 minute interactive demo, which many clients appreciate.

Cons

The only issue I have is taking the time to learn everything that Consensus offers to us. I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and see all it has to offer. I'm sure there are other aspects of the system that I could utilize, but would love to have some one on one training. But I haven't reached out for it, so that's on me.

Pros

I really appreciate how Consensus integrates seamlessly with Gmail, making it incredibly easy to send and attach interactive demos directly within emails. This integration streamlines my workflow, allowing me to save a significant amount of time in my sales process. The platform enables me to send a general overview demo which excites prospects and covers the basic functionalities, so by the time we have a live demo, we can dive deeper into the platform. It also provides me the ability to track when prospects engage with the demo content, helping me gauge their level of interest and engagement. This feature is crucial in understanding what's important to the folks I'm presenting to, allowing me to tailor my interactions accordingly. Additionally, the initial setup of Consensus was smooth and straightforward, thanks to the excellent support from the account team, customer success manager, and account executive who provided valuable onboarding sessions and resources. These aspects of Consensus not only enhance my efficiency but also add considerable value to my sales cycle.

Cons

Hard to say what I like least about Consensus given the only thing to compare it to is life before Consensus. It accomplishes what I need it to do - i.e. add value and increase deal velocity.

I would suggest it to any person who sells software or anything that that can be demonstrated by a screen recording

Pros

I find it very useful to answer questions about ResDiary, a prospect will email me or text me a question and I will reply with a short explainer video. E.g “how can I handle deposits via ResDiary” 2)I find it useful because it helps me to give shorter demos, I typically send a prospect 2 videos before I do a resdiary demo, “one called 6 different ways to take an online reservation” and one called “ResDiary pricing explainer video”- if the prospect watches the videos before the demo it speeds things up 3)I use it to record videos showing prospects how to fill in the steps to sign up. 4) I have had a handful of prospects who signed up without doing a demo based on the strength of the demo videos I have done

Cons

it can be buggy sometimes, it sometimes takes more than 1 attempt to record a video and this slows things down

Pros

I love the ability to send overview and feature specific product videos to clients. As well, I love that Consensus captures recipient view analytics which is insightful and informative.

Cons

Building custom demo boards is tedious and time-consuming. Deeper integration with Salesforce would be helpful.

Overall, it's very easy to add and send across, helping customers view the product before getting a tailored demo.

Pros

Consensus is really easy to navigate and use, easy to add in demos and favourite them. It allows you to share multiple videos or content depending on industries etc. You're able to manage content better by sharing to multiple people of various roles.

Cons

Sometimes it doesn't load up when I need it to on emails especially if I've sent out a lot of demos that day but that may just be an internet issue with loading it up or sometimes the font when it comes to pasting companies on demos is impacted.

Pros

Pre-recorded demonstrations and the ability to track what users have or have not seen as well as notifications when they access the demoboards.

Cons

It would be good to have the ability to take our software that records our calls (GONG) and auto inserts it into the demo receipt list for efficiency.

Overall, it has been a tremendous experience using Consensus. It has improved the speed of the sales process and given the buyers the information they want quickly. We have received tons of positive feedback from our customers on how those videos have helped them also.

Pros

Consensus has helped us make it easier for our customers to research and buy our product. It also has helped us find additional stakeholders that may not have the time for live online demos. The end goal is we want the purchase process to be easy and fun and Consensus really helps us with that.

Cons

I honestly cant think of anything I do not like about Consensus. In the rare instance we do have issues our CSM and AE have been very quick to respond.

If you are a B2B SaaS company struggling to scale your pre-sales function, constantly repeating the same initial product story, or facing slow qualification times, Consensus is a must-have. It radically transforms how you qualify prospects and provides the intelligence needed to shorten your sales cycle and close bigger deals. Highly recommend for any mid-market or enterprise sales and marketing organization.

Pros

The tracking is invaluable. We can see exactly which features (topics) a prospect and their entire buying panel care about, and, crucially, which team members viewed them. This allows our sales reps to customize their follow-up conversation to the specific needs of the buying committee, leading to far more relevant and shorter sales cycles.

Cons

The initial setup and creation of your core demo "story" is a significant investment in time and resources. Because the platform is so flexible and powerful, there is a learning curve to truly maximize its potential. The investment is worth it, but be prepared for a dedicated team effort in the first few weeks to get the content polished and published. It is not an overnight solution if you want to use its advanced features fully.

Consensus has made it much easier for me to avoid searching through various internal sites for different demos. It’s saving me a significant amount of time.

Pros

After hour long strategy sessions with my customers, I typically (at least hopefully) have many opportunities to follow up on. This often means I need to send a significant amount of information and demos. Consensus has made this process much simpler for me by allowing me to provide my customers with a single link where they can review everything we discussed during our calls. I also appreciate being able to track exactly what my customers watch and how much of it they view.

Cons

After creating a demo, I noticed the button link looks a bit blocky. I realize this is a small detail, but I personally prefer smoother, rounded corners. There are still great options for the links, and I believe this may be specific to my company’s setup. I don’t remember this being an issue at my last company, where we also used Consensus.

I have enjoyed working with Consensus. It has been easy to use, and it gives me another way to engage with my clients besides cold calling or emails. I like the visibility into client engagement with my demo boards, as it helps me gauge and measure interest.

Pros

The program is easy to use, and it gives me visibility into my clients' engagement with my demo boards. The metrics are interesting in tracking this interest.

Cons

There are some glitches and bugginess, particularly with the Gmail plug-in. I have also had difficulty getting the recorder function to work, and must manually record my videos and upload.

Overall we have enjoyed it a lot. It is very expensive, but we get a lot of value from it. We use it for sales and internal trainings, and find it easy to duplicate our work.

Pros

I like how easy it is to upload videos with the branding, and how much tracking I get from the data. The support is awesome and helps me right away. The new features for tours and dynamic tours have been great and our clients have loved them.

Cons

We have struggled with editing videos within Consensus, and not being able to add captions automatically is annoying. We also found that Tours gets very slow once you have 10+ pages and weren't aware this would be an issue. It would be great if we could edit videos and dynamic tours in the system easier so when we get product changes we don't have to redo an entire video or dynamic tour.

Consensus allows me to share product tours with my prospects in an eye-catching, welcoming, easy-to-use format. It alleviates the need to set up free trials - which saves so much time when it comes to my less-than-tech-savvy prospects. It's quick and easy to create a personalized experience, and Consensus even lets you know when the prospect has viewed your content.

Pros

Consensus saves me so much time and provides my prospects with engaging, personalized product tours. It even gives me insight into which prospects have the most interest. Plus, our Consensus rep is so friendly and always a pleasure to work with.

Cons

The only thing I would change about Consensus is the size of the "Play" button on the Image Link - it perfectly covers your face if you have a Personal Intro Video as the thumbnail.

Worth it. Needs some time investment at first but pays back. Since I started actively using it it takes me just a couple of minutes to sent out a recorded demo. And I can track it to see if my prospects actually have watched it, how much time they spent, which videos are popular etc. This enables me to improves my demo database even more. So far I have had many valuable qualified leads come in as a result of my use of consensus.

Pros

The time it saves me on a daily basis because I was able to dramatically reduce my number of demo’s. I also like the personal intro video feature.

Cons

I am quite a quick learner, self-thought, but it still took me longer then expected to get the grips of it. I needed customer support several times to be able to progress.

It has been wonderful, they even have an integration with Microsoft Outlook which makes it so easy to attach videos and links. Love the user interface and looks nice for customers.

Pros

Saves me so much time in the sales process because I can share demo videos on hand to my customers. I also really like that you can add a personal intro video before the demo to make it more tailored. I also like how you can include multiple videos into a playlist.

Cons

Honestly nothing! They recently updated their software so a lot of the fields I was filling out manually is now auto filled out for me.

Pros

Honestly, how easy it is to spin up short, sharp demos and send them out. Being able to pull external prospects into the flow without any hassle has made follow-ups a breeze. It saves me a stack of time and gives me a clear read on who’s actually engaged.

Cons

Nothing major - the only thing I’d like is a bit more flexibility in how I brand or personalise certain parts of the demo flow. Perhaps some drag and drop functionality for modules would be good, but that’s nitpicking.

Pros

I like how Consensus is universally an invaluable tool across self, colleagues and customers. Reviewing and watching back material, is equally informative to myself, as is, forward facing for the customer.

Cons

In Honestly, the only minor con to Consensus, was quickly addressed the use of Interactive tours, or chaptered sections.

Cons

Consensus Snap is not the easiest, most user friendly portion to utilize - I have found it to be glitchy and thus moved away from using this element.

Overall, my experience with Consensus is great. It has solved a lot of problems for me and has helped qualify a lot of our prospects.

Pros

I love how simple Consensus is to use. It allows me to better scale my time. Instead of needing to do live demos or answer questions all day, I can send a Consensus video and then track if my client watched it or not, giving me all the reporting and analytics that I need.

Cons

The one thing I don't love about Consensus is the demo library. It can be hard to manage all the different videos in one place and can get out of hand. I also think the creation of individual demoboards can get tedious at times.
