Overall, my experience with Consensus is great. It has solved a lot of problems for me and has helped qualify a lot of our prospects.

Pros

I love how simple Consensus is to use. It allows me to better scale my time. Instead of needing to do live demos or answer questions all day, I can send a Consensus video and then track if my client watched it or not, giving me all the reporting and analytics that I need.

Cons

The one thing I don't love about Consensus is the demo library. It can be hard to manage all the different videos in one place and can get out of hand. I also think the creation of individual demoboards can get tedious at times.

I’ve used Consensus for nearly two years to send demo recordings to clients. It’s been an excellent tool for improving client understanding and tracking engagement. The platform adds real value by offering a streamlined way to share demos and monitor how prospects interact with them. My only suggestion would be to simplify the link-creation process to make it even smoother.

Pros

I find Consensus incredibly valuable for streamlining the process of sending demo recordings and monitoring client engagement, which significantly aids my sales efforts. The ability to seamlessly select and send pre-established demos to clients simplifies my workflow, allowing me to focus on more strategic tasks. I also appreciate the easy creation and customization of demo links, which enables a highly personalized experience in minutes. The real-time notifications on client activity provide crucial insights into engagement levels and intent, helping guide my follow-up strategy.

Cons

Creating customized demo links can be more complex than I’d like. Setting up specific links sometimes requires navigating through multiple screens, which can feel time-consuming. I’d prefer a simpler way to generate multiple links from one screen to make the workflow faster and more efficient.

Cons

There are some minor components that are being updated related to how users search for demos that has posed a challenge but there are workarounds for now and advancements to come.

Overall it's been a slick and easy to use tool. It allows me to send demos out to my customers and prospects, often speeding up the sales cycle and allows customers to come to meeting with an existing understanding of our product range.

Pros

How easy it is to integrate to your outlook account, and as a result, how fast their demo videos are to deploy to customers!

Cons

Honestly, nothing. It is perfect for it's intended use case. I needed something to deploy demos to my customers and prospects and it does exactly that.

Overall, Consensus has been game changing for my workflows as a sales executive. It allows me to provide detailed visuals that prospects may not be getting from other vendors and arming them with what they need to feel confident in making a decision throughout their evaluation.

Pros

Ease of use in sharing detailed demo content with prospective clients for them to view at their own convenience.

Cons

When using it frequently, it can be a bit repetitive manually entering in account and opportunity information so that the content is shared to the appropriate prospect and synced up with the salesforce information.

Pros

Cons

Nothing right now. The software has helped us. Its easy to log in and make videos. The support model gets us answers.

I love it! Like I said the content is very easy to manage and find. The sales team uses it on the daily to send videos to our customers. You can get as specific or broad.

Pros

I like how personal it can be. I can send demos and tours to each individual at the school and each of them can have a different experience catered to their specific needs.

Cons

I do not have any cons as of yet. It is a great concept and website. Everything is very easy to access and use.

Pros

Consensus is unmatched in its analytics and its ability to discover stakeholders in enterprise deals. We work with a niche buyer who has a complex buying group and Consensus helps us understand what each person is thinking.

Cons

I wish the analytics would have more options for viewing. Something like a dashboard would make reporting to executive leadership much easier.

Consensus is a great tool, I have sent 100's of boards out with minimum time spent which is a great way to boost productivity.

Pros

tracking interaction with my demo videos across the end customers organisation. The ease of adding users to view the demo.

Cons

sometimes the outlook add in doesnt work properly but this is more of a rare case and doesnt hinder productivity too much, theres another route to add demos manually if the issue occurs.

it has been amazing, the concensus team has amazing on getting us up to speed with the product and helping us make the most of the software.

Pros

The fact that you can have video content saved and accessible to work with the different needs of your customers, and you can access this through other platforms such as Gong AI and Salesforce and Outlook it makes it even easier to work with the programme. To also get customer open in sights and seeing how a customer has interacted with the videos works great too.

Cons

nothing it works great, there isnt anything that i dont like about concensus. The way it works with the other software means i can just keep working with customers.

My overall experience with Consensus has been really positive. It helps me work more efficiently, improves the quality of my discovery, and elevates the buyer experience before I ever join a call. Even with a few limitations, the value it brings to my workflow far outweighs the drawbacks.

Pros

I like that Consensus scales me by automating repetitive demos, so I can focus on higher-value conversations. It gives buyers a polished, self-guided experience that helps them pre-qualify and come in more informed. I also get cleaner discovery because I can see exactly what they watched, skipped, and cared about. It’s especially powerful for multi-stakeholder deals since anyone can view the demo without waiting for a live session. Overall, it shortens sales cycles, protects my time, and gives me clear insight into buyer intent.

Cons

What I don’t love about Consensus is that the setup can feel time-consuming up front, especially when building branched paths or updating content. It also can’t fully replace a live demo, so prospects sometimes still need clarification even after watching. And when prospects don’t engage with the guided demo, the insights and intent signals you rely on just aren’t there.

Cons

I don’t spend too much time digging into the analytics, other than checking when someone opens the clip, how long they watch it for, and getting a general sense of their engagement and interest.

Its been great. Customers have loved it. Some don't watch, but at least its another value add touch point.

Pros

I love how I can show authentic demo's in between calls. Demos that are free of marketing jargon and are shown by real people.

Cons

I dislike how tedious it can be if I'm sharing multiple demos. They have addressed this with a "choose your own adventure" however, I've been unable to press a "back button" if I chose the wrong adventure. This requires me to exit and start over. A step in the right directioin tho! We werent able to even do this earlier this year.

Pros

Consensus has been instrumental in scaling our Solution Consulting practice. The platform not only makes it easy to share content, but also provides robust reporting and insights, allowing us to understand how our internal teams are leveraging the tool and how prospects are engaging with our content.

Cons

While Consensus is intuitive and easy to use from an end-user perspective, the admin side can be a bit more complex when it comes to identifying best practices. We’ve worked closely with our CSM to better understand the ideal structure and configuration, which has been extremely helpful in optimizing how we manage the platform.

Pros

I love how it integrates with my Gmail and I can easily add in a consensus demo right in the email without having to bridge to the website. There is so much customization which I love and it takes the repetition out when sending out the same demo boards but customizing the receiver

Cons

Sometimes it doesn't always stay connected with Gmail so it's a hassle to reconnect. It's a learning curve at first when creating your own personal demo, but once you've done it for the first time, it gets easier.

You can track which customers have seen the demo, get many analytics on their viewing behavours, its great to keep track of their engagements.

Cons

Its important to find a balance between all the data to track and the time to spend on generating a demo link. Ideally, I would want a demo link to autogenerate by simply putting the SFDC opp in Consensus

Cons

Occasionally the setup for new content takes a few extra steps, but once it’s live, it works smoothly.

I use Consensus a lot after my Initial Meeting and before my next meeting. It is a great way of identifying prospects that are more engaged in the buying process.

Pros

It is one of the best ways to see if your prospect is showing positive buying signs early in the process. If I have a prospect that opens and watches one of the videos I know that I should spend extra attention on that prospect.

Cons

The outlook plug-in is not great. I end up going to the Consensus website each time to generate the link. Sometimes I wish I could create a general link that I didn't have to make a unique one for each prospect but I still would want the reporting data so I get the trade-off.

Excellent - from beginning to present! The product is solid and the Consensus team supporting us are exceptional. I hope every company I work at has Consensus.

Pros

Consensus has changed the sales game - not only for our account executives but also our prospects! It is so easy and convenient on both sides of the sales cycle now!

Cons

The only "complaint" is a user cannot leverage a virtual background when creating a personal intro video - but this is already a feature request that has been upvoted, so hopefully this will be addressed soon!

Pros

The tool itself, tracking and compiling demo videos, does what it says. Easy to get up to speed and start using.

Cons

Some of the functionality of the created demos, and looking at the sent demos all together. Not a fan of comparing teammates' analytics.

Consensus is a great second seller. You can almost create an idea of how a decision process works without spending hours on sales nav or asking 100s of questions on calls.

Pros

You can really build an idea of hierarchy of who you are selling to. Great second seller for when you can't demo to everyone too!

Cons

Creating the Demoboard's. You have to create a new demo board each time you want to send something to a prospect.

Cons

The inability to remove questionnaires prior to prospects viewing demos I share. This could be related to internal org settings however we have been unable to figure out how to remove this step.
