I've been very impressed and happy with my overall experience. I have already recommended it to friends and family that are looking to start programs of their own.

Pros

My small business has been in operation for 3 years now and I've always felt supported through my inquiries about the functionality and capabilities of the platform. The support team is highly responsive, and I've witnessed them actively make changes to their system based on my feedback about ways to improve. I love how easy it is for families to register once they've established a profile, and the mobile app now provides easy access to pertinent camper/family contact information while I am out running camps and away from my laptop. Their reporting has significantly improved too!

Cons

There was a significant learning curve with building camp sessions, organizing seasons, and tracking the information that I deemed necessary at the time my small business was being established. The app was a bit hard to navigate at first, but I am more comfortable after lots of practice. There is still room of improvement with providing options for families to sign their kids in and out with a camp-based program. The way that aspect of the platform is currently designed seems to cater more to afterschool care and similar programs who see the same roster of families for weeks or even months at a time.

### "Museum After School Registrar"

Overall, my experience using the platform for the T.W. Wood Museum’s Afterschool Art Program has been positive, though it did come with a learning curve. At first, understanding the full process and where specific functionality lived within the system was challenging. However, once I spent time learning the layout and workflow, the platform became relatively easy to use and made much more sense as a whole. We use Jumbula to manage our museum’s afterschool art programs, including registration, participant management, and communication. From an administrative standpoint, it’s largely a matter of becoming familiar with where tools and settings are located—once that happens, the system works smoothly. On the front end, the parent experience has been very good. Parents have found the registration process straightforward, and the parent portal is easy to navigate and understand. Overall, Jumbula has proven to be a functional and effective platform for managing our afterschool programs once the initial learning phase is behind you.

Pros

It's a great platform to manage our afterschool programs and summer camps. It has made it easy for parent to register and allowed us to track registered children and efficiently manage our programs with good reports.

Cons

I wish the registration process allowed parent to be able to register for our after school program and in one order select all the days they want their child to attend. Instead now they have to register each day individually. The initial learning curve is a bit challenging, but once it's learn its easy to manage and update

### "Flexible and affordable!"

I am very happy with ! Again - not perfect - but for the price and flexibility I haven't seen its superior. And as mentioned, the support team has been very responsive and through my interactions (and their emails about their updates), I have observed a commitment to improvement. I hope this commitment continues and our organization can "settle in" with this platform for the long haul as their efforts continue to improve this platform.

Pros

I deeply appreciate the flexibility of the platform. Our organization operates programs in many different locations in the tri-county area, as well as virtual and hybrid programs. makes it easy to manage many of the communication details with those - sending out locations, including Zoom links for virtual/hybrid, and other details using highly customizable automatic emails. The detailed controls are very appreciated - for example, we sometimes host programs on private properties. We do not want to publish those addresses online, and Jumbula's granular controls allow us to control on a program-by-program level whether the address appears online or if it is emailed to registered participants or both. Jumbula is also affordable, which is especially important for a small nonprofit like ours. We offer a wide range of both free and paid programs, and the affordability of the product is especially felt in that regard, as we are not charged for free registrations - something we had encountered with another platform which was the ultimate dealbreaker. The flexibility in the fee structure is also great and allows us to easily implement different kinds of fee structures based on the needs of the program (price per person, price per carload, price per \[whatever else\], tiered structure/sliding scale, etc). Another interesting feature that I really appreciate is the option to password-protect programs - this means that we can now have early registration as a member benefit (we tell our members that the password is the same as their member coupon code - because Jumbula also has coupon codes). This password feature is also useful for when we want to have other registrations open to only a select group - for example, our teen "Counselors in Training" at summer camp that need to go through a selection process. Overall, after having used multiple registration platforms in 10+ years experience as a program administrator, I haven't seen anything that comes close to Jumbula in its combined flexibility, ease of use (it is quite user-friendly and easy to learn), and price point.

Cons

Like any platform, is not perfect. There are some technical errors that pop up from time to time. However, the support team is very responsive to issues as they arise. In my dream world, I would love to have a system that integrates with our CRM.

We began by combining our own internet searches with results from online discussion forums in our field. This included direct communication with some past users of various systems. We then scheduled walkthroughs where we were able to see the screen from the admin end, and were very happy to see some of the detailed controls. All our questions were answered during this process. We were given a free trial that allowed us to thoroughly test it before fully committing.

Generally a great program registration and check-in/out attendance tracking software that meets the needs for a small nonprofit organization like us. The attendance tracking feature makes it more worth than a simple Google Form or TypeForm.

Pros

Customer service has been responding promptly with helpful answers. Integrates easily with our website. We really like how the software has a mobile app and that we can assign different permission levels without overcomplicating it. We've noticed general improvements in the last few months.

Cons

The admin dashboard can feel somewhat clunky, but I know they’re working on updates, including the new Next-Gen Dashboard. The registration portal already has a more modern look, as shown in the website screenshots, compared to the backend. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but overall it’s manageable and learnable.

### "Very happy with our choice of Jumbula"

Overall, I find to be very useful and practical at getting our classes filled. We work with individuals who have developmental disabilities, so most sign-ups are conducted by their parents, some of whom are not very tech-savvy due to being from an older generation that predated the widespread use of computers. I have found that Jumbula seems to be pretty easy for them to access and use.

Ease of posting new online classes. The app has been very helpful for our organization to access sign ups quickly.

Cons

I have had difficulty at times figuring out some of the functions, but I have always been quickly helped by sending an email asking for assistance.

### "This registration software is just right!"

This is the third software we've used to manage our summer camps and special family workshops, and we are now loyal customers! Even with a few minor bugs, we will be extremely reluctant to give up this platform for another software.

Pros

The user interface is extremely intuitive, both from the consumer end and from an internal troubleshooting perspective. It was quick and painless to add or adjust categories to registrations; consumers were notified immediately of any changes, so communication was very efficient. We especially appreciated how easy it was to send mass email alerts to all our registrants without having to worry about being flagged or blocked. Generating reports and rosters was a breeze, and with minimal practice, it was very easy for new users to perform these tasks independently.

Cons

A more straightforward method to generate or retrieve itemized receipts for prior registrations would be helpful. We made do by using the confirmation emails generates, but it seems like there should be a more specific function to retrieve a proof of purchase several weeks or months after registration. We also ran into a problem where embedded hyperlinks in our email campaigns broke before any recipients could access them, resulting in an error message. We never figured out why this was the case, and tech support from Jumbula was so inconsistent that we eventually gave up and defaulted to sending important links through Outlook instead. That error made the email campaign feature slightly less efficient than we hoped.

### "Efficient, great reporting and seamless to setup"

Seamless, super helpful and a bookings system with great functionality. I feel like we have only scraped the surface of its capability.

Pros

We use for our Youth MTB Charity in NZ to book term programmes and holiday camps. Jumbula was a breeze to setup. The support team were super helpful in customising some back end functions so it met our customers time zone, dates and currency. Quick onboarding and setup - we were up and running and taking our first holiday programme payments in less than a week (incl loading our data/camps). Super responsive sales team handled all our queries efficiently. We love the slick and professional looking web connection, how easy it is to use for Customers, and the ability to capture information, export it and reporting functions. The functions on this software will possible save us about 4 weeks of admin / year which is so valuable to us!

Cons

No Cons at all. Anything we have needed to change/customise the support team have logged it and turned it around quickly.

### "Friendly Support"

When I first started using I felt like I had a lot of support with set up, but there were still some unanswered questions and things I did not fully understand. The support staff has been helpful with answering these questions, but I wish it was a little easier to get a hold of someone. Time is money and I am worried that by not being able to get some of my questions answered promptly. I do enjoy the live chat, but I have noticed that in the past few weeks that I have not been able to get a live person. Overall I have been very happy with Jumbula and look forward to the continued use of this platform for upcoming years.

Pros

The look is updated, easy to set up camps and see registrations. Friendly support team that is helpful when answering ALL of my emails.

Cons

Not being able to call and talk to a person on the support team when encountering an issue. Email takes a lot longer and is sometimes hard to understand issue.

### "Easy to use registration platform"

has met our registration needs over the past three years. The costumer service support has increased in promptness over the past three years, and all of our concerns have been addressed and resolved. We really appreciate being about to reach out to the support team and have such great communication.

Pros

Ability to house all information in one place, and the straightforward navigation of the dashboard and interface. It is easy to use and learn (great tutorial library). Love the pre-registration function, and overall user experience.

Cons

You lose your place if you hit the back button, and it takes you to random pages. Sometimes to the people page, invoicing, or dashboard. If you have been setting up a camp for a while, it sometimes times out and won't save and you loose all of your edits. Some of the functions are a bit clunky and require many steps. You can't refund a family for multiple orders at once.

Quick onboarding, easy to set up, affordable for small business

Cons

We’ve grown increasingly frustrated with and have seriously considered switching services. Customer support is poor, and resolving issues feels like a constant struggle. The platform is slow and clunky—making changes takes far too many repetitive steps. It’s also not user-friendly for parents, who have to re-enter the same info every time they register, and can’t save credit card details for future use or additional fees.

So far so good. We had a great on-boarding with our account manager and we're looking to integrating many of the features the software provides.

Pros

Great for our non-profit. Allows us to put our services out there with a system that is easy to use and customizable to our needs!

Cons

no complaints! at this time, there is no service that we cannot accomplish - so we are very happy with the solution.

### "USELESS TECHNICAL SUPPORT "

Pros

The registration process has been successful for us, especially since we register for multiple programs at a time.

Cons

Their technical support is horrible. They respond hours later, usually in the middle of the night, and they don't even answer the questions asked in the initial request. Their responses often don't help whatsoever. It would be much more helpful if a phone number were provided so we could call for immediate help and have employees who could offer competent solutions.

### "Poor unmanaged Customer Service"

The onboarding calls were not organized and does not have clear step by step onboarding plan. Our onboarding call was expected by the customer success role to be a Q and A session instead of sharing and reviewing the necessary steps for successful onboarding. We ended up paying for the platform and not using it!!!!! Due to a lack of support and clear guidance. Also, the tutorials are not complete and do not support successful onboarding. There were a lot of steps we needed to guess how it works. The mass imports made by Jumbula support did not work properly; even though we provided the data exactly by filling out the template, and the support emailed us it was successfully imported; the families and student accounts were not mapped; anybody just could log in and sign up. It was a disaster, and when I requested support to explain why the import did not work and if it needs to be corrected, I never received a response!

Pros

Registration pages are easy to manage. Tracking tuition is easier.

Cons

Customer Service. Weak onboarding. Also, the customer success role just set us up for failure with a lack of knowledge and lack of presentation and communication skills.

Overall it’s a large multifunctional platform that can do a lot of different things, but its size and capabilities make it a little buggy. It does what I need it to do, but it has some small quirks that I take issue with. I'd love to see some better UX/UI features in newer updates

Pros

I appreciate their customer support team, since has so many functionalities it can be hard to know what certain things mean and do, and the people on the customer service team are very helpful in walking you through how to do things - especially the live support from actual people (not AI)

Cons

A bit buggy and not intuitive to navigate - there are a lot of words with vague meaning (or icons like an eye for) to denote very specific things in ways that are really not intuitive and there are some programming features that don’t make sense (for example when I program certain registration forms, if someone registered for more than one class it defaults to a different registration form instead of the one I programmed, unless I change it on for every program - why would this need to be a different form?)

### "Good basic registration system"

My overall experience with has been okay. Since, July, I stopped contacting customer service because they were non-responsive for customer service help (I think I asked for help two times before giving up this was not the case when I first started working with Jumbula). I managed and figured it out on my own afterwhile. My summer camp is almost over and I'm willing to give them another try next summer. Hopefully, the aforementioned items will be taken care of.

Pros

I love that this software is affordable and has the opportunity to be great. In the beginning, the customer service representative was very helpful in helping me setup the system. The software has some great functionality like the check-in/check-out tool and personal website page. The registration form once setup is easy to follow and use.

Cons

The functionality for managing volunteers is missing. I couldn't schedule or manage volunteers on this platform nor staff really. The interface with WIX doesn't work well, and activating payment via customer service. The website page they provide is great but the registration information for families to register would not save by grade appearing out of sorts once published on the website. There was no fix for this.

We just launched a summer camp this summer (small camp less than 40). I chose because of the price and the said functionality during their presentation.

### "Have potential, but not for prime time if you need more customization, and robust reporting."

cannot do proper embedded link so that the url stays under my institution's name. I stopped using it after 6-9 months.

Pros

Support tries to improve, but too slow to have anything happen. Probably because of limited # developer(s). Have potential, and need time to grow. BUT, cannot do incorporate proper embed link / iframe as promised right at the sales. I was promised to have that iframe/embed link incorporated, but they never delivered. Since the reporting system is very limited anyway, I stopped using it after 6-9 months. Currently, I use SmartRec by Amilia - FAR more robust and well-thought out. OK.. it costs more than Jumbula; but it is definitely worth it.

Cons

limited customization. Reporting is limited.

Reason for choosing Jumbula

Nicer customization. Easy to use than Regpacks. Looks more modern. Better reporting than RegPack and Sawyers'. RegPacks has MANY MANY knobs to change - too overwhelming for a general administrative staff; besides, RegPack reporting is very limited and extremely confusing. reporting is limited too, but easier to read and more useful than RegPacks' reports. Sawyers' reports are very broken.. Header rows do not even match with the content.. Sawyers system has serious flaws.
