Systems Engineer Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "My experience on Nintex" July 6, 2020 4.0 using Nintex workflows actually helped fixed alot of bad habits in my company, for example the incorrect approval compliance, the waste of printing alot of papers and forms, which also saved alot of storage space just because we needed to keep some documents for a certain period of time Pros I have been using Nintex for a few years, love how great it is integrated with SharePoint, well considering that is where Nintex started;) during the years, I have digitallized a lot of my system within my company, e.g. the HR system I built using Nintex including leave hiring and onboarding. Also alot of different approval system within the company. Cons When using nintex with sharepoint, sometimes the permission settings between SharePoint and Nintex can be quite tricky, and may leads to some workflow errors for less experienced administrator, hopthere maybe some features in the future allowing nintex to deploy the permission to sharepoint automatically Reason for choosing Nintex Process Platform As above Review Source KR Kannadasan R. Cons It has taken me a while to learn to use it properly, it is fairly complex - but I wouldn't say that is a fault exactly. Pros The expandable levels are helpful - the Process "map" at a high level, the expandable notes in the procedure section allow people with different levels of expertise the appropriate visibility. The help desk response turn around is fantastic and if they are unable to resolve the problem, they will investigate it. The product is simple, easy to follow and the feel and look is appealing to all types. Extremely easy to navigate and train people in how to use the product. The Account Manager is friendly and helpful with any queries. August 18, 2017 5.0 It saves us so much time and repetitive keystrokes. It is extremely accurate and has many fail safes to ensure accuracy. Pros Customer Support is unmatched, you call and you get a person and they are very helpful. They suggest items to help your scripts and really want to assist you to get the job done. Features keep getting added all the time, works great with browsers, thick clients and 3270-emulators. Saves us tremendous time keying in repetitive items. Users can build their own scripts and automate their own tasks without the help of IT, which they love. It has saved us hundreds of hours of repetitive tasks, literally. Pros The Foxtrot Robotic Process Automation is an ease to navigate software. The newer versions make it easier to find the functions that you need. Support is extremely willing to assist with any issues that you encounter. I usually delete the 'Nintex' one thinking it is Spam mail. This survey came through! My overall experience is that when I need it - I have appreciated it but I don't have time to read all the 'Promapp' e-mails that get through. Pros Good place to find how to do tasks - relies on staff to enter their procedures. Used mostly for entering complaints and compliments. I am a Promapp convert! Pros Promapp is an easy to use intuitive tool available to all staff. How it is used is flexible with the ability to link to all types of artefacts. The dashboard is invaluable - sending reminders by emails supports staff to visit the dashboard to keep their process diagrams up-to-date. This tool is key to enabling our journey from paper based systems to a born digital system. Cons The "help" files are not always so helpful which makes self service of functionality difficult. What used to take several hours now only takes about 45 minutes. I also love how much customization this product has. The team will train on how to use and send you on your way! Cons As much as customization is a pro here, it is also a con for me. I really wanted the product to be delivered and ready to go upon project completion. Instead, we had to go through several training sessions to obtain the end goal. The program is designed for the purchaser to create, design, and implement from start to finish with support from the Nintex team. Very simple to write scripts and easy to find options. Many processes were mapped and documented, building a large resource of process maps that we previously did not have. ProMapp software enabled us to complete these tasks simply and best of all get good business engagement for ownership, review and feedback of processes. Pros Easy to use, simplifies process mapping, easy to get end user buy in. No complex nomenclature. Cons Need to rethink traditional process maps with complex decision trees as these type of processes need to be documented differently. My company relies heavily on Sharepoint, the ease with which this software integrates with it is a great bonus. Pros It's rather simple to use, administer and maintain. Once it's deployed you're typically good to go. Upgrades are also rather straight forward. We have been able to stand up several solutions that have saved countless hours of manual processing within just a few days. Pros I love the capabilities of the Nintex Robotic Processing Automation software. We have not found anything at this point that we could not make work or process. Cons We did experience a bit of a learning curve with all of the new features and functionality but our Nintex support team walked through our processing with us and ensured we were able to accomplish our goals.
