Pros Promapp is easy to use, view and share processes with anyone, even outside your organisation, is a plus. It's a fantastic CI tool and is easily one of the best process mapping tools around. It has some really good features which make it a good learning experience for first time users of any web based tool like this one. - easy to create process, re-engineer the process multiple time still able to see the old version for the changes - review mechanism makes it easy for adding or removing any steps in the process as a part of process improvement - interactive process maps with swim lane makes it easy for the people who are not tech savvy Lastly, it is easy to use and makes processes simple Pros The ease of use of the tool, training videos an interactive way of teaching and/or learning Cons There isn't anything that i can say i dislike. This makes for a quick and sure ROI for the customers, which is the core goal of automation implementations. Pros I got up and running within minutes (easy installation process) and I found Foxtrot very easy to work with. Additionally, it has all the needed functionality and contains very complex capabilities. Especially OCR, formula actions, decision-making, and Excel functionality. Since then, I've implemented numerous solutions to our customers and they are all very satisfied with Foxtrot. We also use it to analyse processes in conjunction with IT improvement projects. Our experience has been great, Promapp is well received in the organisation so far. It's easy to use and explain to others. We particularly like that the maps are reduced from procedures. Our internal trainers believe it will replace all other procedure documents and potentially all training material. Pros Ease of use, procedural based, easy to demo and explain, good for collaboration and creating process collateral on the fly with stakeholders, mini link functionality is great for external collaboration, tags are good Cons 1\. Inability to copy and paste or reuse individual activities. 2. Inability to turn hovering display off. Would be better if it was a click to display process and activity details when hovering. 3. Pros I love the ease of use and the myriad of options and settings that the application allows you to control natively. It works with the majority of emulator systems and when it doesn't, they are very diligent in researching solutions. The application allows for the simple automation of tasks in a fraction of the time and allows the user to cut out any IT involvement and time that it would take to implement a programmatic change. Cons The application gets hung up a lot when set to full speed on automation software. Some of the older windows based applications do not work on the platform. Review Source TP Tim P. Enablesoft regularly updates the product to keep it current with new technologies and features. Cons Limitations with Jack Henry's Xperience software. I like it that it is so easy to use - learning the product didn't take much time at all. Support has been very helpful. They understood quickly what I needed and had a solution immediately. The program has also been instrumental when we had large conversions. Cons I wish I had more uses for FoxTrot. It has been so helpful to get tasks completed quickly and accurately. Links and attachments to important reference documents can be applied to processes simply - and so easy to update. June 30, 2020 5.0 We brought Promapp in to the business for the following reasons: 1) easy to use tool to get all of our processes documented in a uniform manner 2) allows us to set a cadence for review and 3) for new hire onboarding and knowledge sharing across departments Pros What we love most about the tool is how easy it is to use and the fact that it maps the processes out for you after you enter the narrative steps. We used to spend so much time in Visio adjusting our flows. That is gone and now we can devote that time to writing simple and direct processes that are benefiting the Operations. Cons While it does have a feature to provide feedback, I wish that the step would be tagged with the feedback and that it would also be available in the map view vs the card below. It works perfectly'and it is telling that Promapp realizes that a standardized process relies on standardized components, all the way down to documents and individual words. Cons No editing in the map view--you have edit mode is procedural (list of steps) view only. The most difficult part of using promapp is working on and mapping out my own processes on a whiteboard / paper before I enter it into promapp. I have discovered that there are parts of my processes that can be used across the company and setting them up in such a way takes a bit of thinking, but works brilliantly. Pros A new user can walk in to the company, pick up a process and know exactly who is responsible for what part, which documents or templates to use and where to store information. June 27, 2016 5.0 We use Promapp in our 200+ person district Council. There are so many functions in a council, something like Promapp is really valuable. I have been a BA for (ulp) over 20 years and in my opinion Promapp is the best BPM solution out there. Pros Enforces simplicity and clarity of thought. Helps manage reviews, notifications, everything like that. Allows an organisation to take many different approaches - specialist process managers, or self-serve. AD integration YESSSS. Cons People put so many processes in that they don't finish - gives me a big followup job - but even that, Promapp helps me manage.
