Donesafe has been a strong platform for managing safety and related processes (HR, quality, contractor management) in a manufacturing environment. It has significantly improved how we record information and track processes by bringing everything into one system. The biggest value has come from data capture and visibility—particularly for inspections, contractor compliance, training records, incident reporting, and employee records. Having this information centralised has improved decision-making, accountability, and overall control of safety and compliance processes. It’s important to note that the system is only a tool. Workflows and processes still need to be designed in a way that supports the workforce in completing safety tasks effectively. Simply providing access to a system does not guarantee engagement or behaviours. There are some limitations. Reporting and data visualisation within the system could be stronger, and better integration with tools like Power BI would improve how insights are used. Some system functions also require workarounds due to limited configurability. Support is generally helpful, but more complex requests or system changes can take time and often require follow-up. Overall, Donesafe delivers strong outcomes for safety and compliance management, particularly for businesses needing a flexible system tailored to their operations. With improvements to reporting, integrations, and support responsiveness, it would be a more complete solution.

Pros

Ability to customise the safety management system to suit our business. Previously we had to adapt our processes to the system; now we have control over how the system is built. Employees and contractors have logins, which improves accountability and access to critical information and reporting. Centralised platform that replaces paper forms, spreadsheets, and email tracking. Safety, HR, quality, and contractor processes are all managed in one place. End-to-end safety management, including incident reporting, risk assessments, training, audits, and contractor compliance, with real-time notifications. Cloud-based and accessible across devices, with simple workflows and structured forms. Ability to build workflows beyond safety (e.g. HR and quality), which extends the use of the system and improves overall value for money.

Cons

Reporting, data visibility, and analytics could be improved. Limited integration with Power BI and other applications. Mobile and tablet usability could be stronger (pending improvements from the new app). Some areas have limited configurability, requiring workarounds to link records or trigger automations. However, it is still possible to build tailored solutions suited to our business. Customer support is generally helpful, but response times for more complex change requests can be slow and require follow-up.

Switched from

[myosh Safety Management Software](https://www.capterra.com/p/138049/myosh-Safety-Management-Software/)

We moved from Myosh to Donesafe because our previous system had limitations and did not provide the visibility, accessibility, and accountability needed to effectively manage safety across the business. Information was spread across multiple systems, making it difficult to track compliance, training, and controls.

HSI DoneSafe have been great. I have participated in a couple of releases and the support has been incredible. The system is quite stable and the easy to use.

Pros

The accessibility for our contractors such as being able to use a QR code to access the public portal. Also the customizability of the system overall means we can make it work for our very diverse business units.

Cons

The reporting functionality is confusing. I'm not entirely sure how to create meaningful reports that get automatically sent to our LT. This would be on my wishlist. Also the customer hub responses are not very timely, usually I get a response 3-4 business days after the fact. By which time I've already AI'd and worked it out myself.

More customisation available in DoneSafe and easier access.

The flexibility to tailor it to our specific workflows across multi-trades has been a real strength, and the team has found the submitted forms and action tracking genuinely useful day to day. Like any configurable platform, you get out what you put in, and the investment in setup has paid off. A strong choice for organisations that want a serious HSEQ platform and are willing to build it properly.

Pros

The configurability is where DoneSafe really earns its place. Being able to build detailed, multi-section inspection forms with conditional logic, photo capture, and custom scoring across different modules gave us a level of control we hadn't found elsewhere. The platform handles the full lifecycle well, from form submission through to corrective action assignment and close-out, which has meaningfully reduced the administrative overhead on our team. For a multi-division operation managing field inspections, incidents, and safe work documentation, having it all in one place has been a genuine operational improvement.

Cons

The initial configuration learning curve is real, and the documentation doesn't always keep pace with what the platform can do. Building more complex form logic takes some persistence, and better in-platform guidance or a testing environment would help administrators get there faster. The native reporting could also be stronger given the quality of data the platform captures, though once you connect it to external tools the picture improves considerably.

Have been using HSI DoneSafe for years and very happy with the product. Even transitioned to DoneSafe when i moved to another job

Pros

I think what i like most about HSI DoneSafe is its value for money. I think its flexibility and options in safety management provides the opportunity to grow

Cons

It is sometimes difficult to navigate in the background when managing administration for example creating a checklist. The other part is when creating a checklist, it doesn't allow you to copy to create a new checklist. Time saver.

Overall, our experience with Donesafe has been positive. The platform has significantly improved centralised WHS reporting, recordkeeping and governance across the organisation. While implementation and optimisation require ongoing effort, the flexibility of the system allows it to evolve alongside organisational needs. It has become an important operational tool for managing WHS obligations, contractor oversight and organisational risk.

Pros

Donesafe is highly configurable and flexible, which has allowed us to tailor modules and workflows to suit our operational and legislative requirements. The platform supports a wide range of WHS processes including incident management, hazards, inspections, contractor management and risk assessments, all within a single system. The automation capabilities and reporting functionality are also strong once configured properly. Support from the Donesafe team has generally been responsive and collaborative, particularly during larger redevelopment and optimisation projects.

Cons

Some areas of the platform can feel overly complex from an admin/configuration perspective, particularly when troubleshooting workflows, permissions or automations. Certain limitations around visibility, role access and cross-module consistency can also require workarounds or additional development effort. Like many highly configurable systems, achieving the best outcome can take significant time and internal resourcing.

My overall experience with HSI Donesafe has been positive. The biggest strength is having a true one‑stop shop for all our safety and operational reporting, giving us an immediate, overarching view of performance across the business.

Pros

Having a single, centralised platform where all operational safety data lives in one place. It’s streamlined how we capture data. The consistency & transparency have made our reporting faster, our investigations cleaner, and our decision‑making far more data‑driven.

Cons

Some modules can feel unintuitive at first use, or require too many clicks to complete simple tasks. Once familiarised though it is a small inconvenience.

We have been using Solv for more than 10 years, and the customer support has always been outstanding. The new platform is a significant improvement, with better features and functionality. While it’s not perfect, the most important thing is the Solv team’s willingness to listen to feedback and continuously improve the system. Highly recommended.

Pros

Solv has great features and functionality, and the level of customer service and support has been exceptional.

Cons

The system loading time can be improved, especially when navigating to financial pages. The Policies and Workplaces page could also be improved, such as allowing a closed claim to be reassigned to another workplace.

I have found it to be a good experience. We are currently in the middle of implementation and even though I feel overwhelmed at times, our implementation manager provides us with info and suggestions to keep our progress on track.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] was fabulous and so patient with all our thousands of questions. We were able to connect with heaps of our team members and so when it came to choosing a new provider, we had great buy in already. The value for money was great as well.

Cons

I think another intro session after the first one would be good with more specific details about workbooks etc

Your product was better and cheaper. Evotix engaged in poor behaviour at the end by making false statements about Donesafe which wasn't in line with our values.

The experience with HSI Donesafe has been great so far, we have appreciated the support and understanding from the sales team throughout the process and are excited to start implementing the system into our business

Pros

The modular design of the product allows us to design a product suite that suits our business requirements as we are in a unique market with challenges only seen in our space. As the system is modular this will allow us to make specific changes to the workflows and forms as required without needing to completely change the design of the process.

Cons

There have been no real cons to HSI Donesafe so far from our experience. but if I was to call out something it would be the availability of content in the early stages of looking into the platform

Had a great experience with the module creation and overall learning. Module training was really helpful

Pros

Project Management is well executed. Easy to use and the platform is user friendly. \[sensitive content hidden\] is very helpful with navigating through the modules. Great value for money.

Cons

Some of the features could have been included as basic requirement. GPS setting could have been in the basic integration and not as an added feature.
