It has significantly improved how we record information and track processes by bringing everything into one system. The biggest value has come from data capture and visibility—particularly for inspections, contractor compliance, training records, incident reporting, and employee records. Having this information centralised has improved decision-making, accountability, and overall control of safety and compliance processes. It’s important to note that the system is only a tool. Workflows and processes still need to be designed in a way that supports the workforce in completing safety tasks effectively. Simply providing access to a system does not guarantee engagement or behaviours. There are some limitations. Reporting and data visualisation within the system could be stronger, and better integration with tools like Power BI would improve how insights are used. Some system functions also require workarounds due to limited configurability. Support is generally helpful, but more complex requests or system changes can take time and often require follow-up. A strong choice for organisations that want a serious HSEQ platform and are willing to build it properly. Pros The configurability is where DoneSafe really earns its place. Being able to build detailed, multi-section inspection forms with conditional logic, photo capture, and custom scoring across different modules gave us a level of control we hadn't found elsewhere. The platform handles the full lifecycle well, from form submission through to corrective action assignment and close-out, which has meaningfully reduced the administrative overhead on our team. I have participated in a couple of releases and the support has been incredible. The system is quite stable and the easy to use. Pros The accessibility for our contractors such as being able to use a QR code to access the public portal. Also the customizability of the system overall means we can make it work for our very diverse business units. Cons The reporting functionality is confusing. I'm not entirely sure how to create meaningful reports that get automatically sent to our LT. This would be on my wishlist. Also the customer hub responses are not very timely, usually I get a response 3-4 business days after the fact. By which time I've already AI'd and worked it out myself. You can start off small and add additional modules as your business grows. Program managers were super efficient, professional, and personable in meeting the needs of the business. HSI Donesafe offers value for money compared to other systems on the market today. From a risk persepctive it follpows a ISO45001 framework, as required, making implementation into a business super easy. Pros HSI Donesfae is intuitive, as the system is contextualised across all implemented modules. This, in effect, allows all information to flow freely while locking down certain areas as required for additional levels of security and confidentiality. It has instructional videos (courses) that allow a user to visually engage with the system if they require assistance. an AI function that also assists when you get stuck! Cons Programming the required modules from the team requires lead time, so patience is needed in the initial stages to ensure everything is completed on time and correctly. We are currently in the middle of implementation and even though I feel overwhelmed at times, our implementation manager provides us with info and suggestions to keep our progress on track. Moving to Solv has made it a lot easier to keep track of everything I need to in one place. A lot of the work is done for you automatically (such as counting lost days or restricted days for an injury). It is also great that it logs everything, such as when you sent a return to work program to an injured employee when they claim you didnt. Pros It has made my work day more efficient. I get notified of tasks i need to complete ensuring I dont miss something important. I can do it all from the easy to use interface Cons Occasionally I forget to attach a medical certificate or return to work program when saving data - I wish it would prompt me with something like "did you want to attach a medical certificate" - especially if i click on add medical certificate. Pros Injury management program Solv injury is very easy to use and has incorporated all the essential requirements for management of employee injuries. Negotiating the systems is very user friendly and integrates links very well with own safety system on site. I have previously used the program three years ago and there has been some innovative additions for IM on the current system that make it much more efficient. One being the ability to analyse trends across sites for particular injuries and that it is a comprehensive one stop shop, a secure platform for all documents related to injury/health management, FFW NWR information. The system was developed over a 6 month period, which was only possible with a dedicated member on staff devoted to the project which is an additional cost. The main cons written above are all improvements we can see for the system that would have benefit to most users as Donesafe continues to develop their software. Overall, the experience has been positive, including the feedback from staff after implementation. After 5 months of being "live," we are seeing meaningful data captured within the system. Although the reporting in Donesafe can be limited, it can be exported into third-party software for really powerful analysis. Pros The system is very modular and can be developed anywhere from a simple system to a complex integrated management system. The workflow and automation features reduce double handling and drive processes to really improve from the paper copy days. Cons \- Print function is a messy format with no quality work arounds (e.g. unable to print a single page within a group of forms) - Support and requested development can be very slow - Reporting options can be very limited and don't allow drill down within Dashboards - Integration with other systems for video is limited to Youtube and Vimeo, direct embedded code doesn't seem to work. - Mobile App is very basic - No manual or training provided from Donesafe for development Reason for choosing HSI Donesafe Donesafe's modularity allowed us to build our software based on our company's needs rather than an off-the-shelf model. Many of our clients are international firms with their own stringent audit requirements. Our custom dashboards and reporting tools make our local teams look extremely professional. Our monthly/quarterly client audit meetings are a breeze and has helped us grow heaps of new business. Pros In the cloud, configurability, easily adapted to our needs, ease of use, user-friendly for our team of all ages and IT skills. The onsite dashboards suitable to own internal and also our clients business reporting requirements. Flexibility to handle complex workflows and of course customisable. Cons Custom work can get pricey, but well worth it in the end. My tip would be, have your workflows finalised initially to save you time and money in having to rework changes later. We will have (Contractor) inductions, permits, SOPs, training documentation, possibilities are pretty much endless. Pros It is so simple and easy to use, I've used 2 systems in The Netherlands and 3 different systems in New Zealand. This is the 4th system in New Zealand and it is by far the best of all I ever used. Cons We are still fresh with having this software in our business.
