They were pricey and didn't seem as easy to use. Spendwise was very easy for my users to understand and I feel that I'm getting a good value for what we pay. Pros Before using , my organization was generating purchase orders from spreadsheets. Spendwise was a no brainer. The interface is simple and easy to use. Navigating Spendwise is a breeze as its responsiveness is quick. Cons As an AS9100-certified organization, it's important for us to track supplier performance. One metric that we use is supplier on-time delivery. That feature is not currently available. September 29, 2023 5.0 This has benefited us by keeping track of PO's in one place rather at each person desk, their emails and using our memory. Pros It is very easy to enter purchase orders, attach invoices, receive items and navigate. Knowing what we have purchased has been extremely helpful so we do not order the same item again. Plus, having a document letting us know what is still owed from companies. Cons When entering a new PO, the Item ID has to be very precise to locate the item. It has helped us with managing our sales, purchase orders, inventories and tools through a clean interface. The procurement team has been able to work together on invoices and PO's more seamlessly owing its cloud compatibility and safe online storage. We are now able to create budgets for various tasks and use to track our overall spending. Overall experience has indeed been wonderful, highly recommended for procurement teams in multiple sectors. Pros is a comprehensive tool to assess our company expenditure. It offers a user-friendly interface , one that helps us save on time and eliminate excess administrative costs. We are able to manage our invoices, purchase orders, bills and expenses in a streamlined manner. A great feature of this software is that it is possible to assign roles to users, and provide access to certain transactions, thereby ensuring that the right person can examine authorized features only. Cons Sometimes when there is a software update, it becomes challenging to navigate through the new changes. With a lack of manuals or training, the updates can take time getting used to. March 19, 2024 5.0 It helps me keep a spending diary outlining almost every interaction I have with merchants. Pros The ease with which I can find a supplier for a rare commodity, see how much the market rate is for different things, or what we spent on it in the past. Cons The only gripes I have are byproducts of the process of manually entering information, and when I can't find something in because I didn't describe it very well in the program. What works best of us is the cloud based application allows us to have our team in multiple remote locations yet get POs requested, approved, and sent to vendors quickly which helps us stay on schedule with every project we are managing. Our experience with Spendwise has been great and I can recommend it without hesitation. Pros Ease of use and the web based application. I was not responsible for selecting it but our team is all glad it works so well for our needs. Cons I do not have any dislikes although we do not use all parts of the software. Reason for choosing Spendwise I researched 10 to 15 companies before choosing , all of them were 5+ times more in price and there customer service was mostly overseas. Cons I thought that the layout was very difficult to follow. The customer service was horrible. The software always seemed to be freezing up on me. Cons A large amount of our ordering is random one off items from places like amazon or eBay, I would like better support for these types of purchases. September 26, 2016 4.0 My company mainly uses your software as a PO creation tool. I know that you have a lot of reporting and accounting tools and other tools that we don't use that we definitely could/should. The software works well for us to simply create POs with easy fill-in-the blanks for saved company names and information so multiple people can use it as an address book, essentially. We then have a record that shows all POs we've placed over time as well, across multiple users. What we don't use very well is the accounting tools - we don't really categorize or use the reports at all for accounting purposes. We have a whole accounting team who keeps track of that type of thing in Quickbooks. Our Operations team is who uses your software for the most part for ease of creating POs and also record keeping for basic PO information. Giving you 4 stars across the board for the product - it seems pretty user friendly in general. Maybe not enough tutorial type information, that could be helpful, but I haven't really gone looking for it. Giving you 5 starts for customer service because you were very responsive when I did have a question. That said we have many customers who use our system along with QuickBooks like you do which is just fine too. Pros Easy to learn and use, the features we need are built-in and we didn't have to do a lot of customization! Cons We still need to learn how to integrate the software with some of our accounting systems - we feel that training would help. Hopefully, we are able to find some help with this. The ability to email a PO straight to the vendor cuts down on repetitive actions! Cons When I close a PO I would like the screen to refresh to the main PO list instead of having to close out of the closed PO screen. To end up on the main PO list page after closing a purchase order we recommend closing the purchase order from the list page which you can do by checking the box next to the purchase order, then click on the More button at the top of the list, then click on Close option.
