Business Owner Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great Product - but doesn't meet ALL my requirements" August 10, 2020 5.0 Fiskl is a nce and elegant solution to my invoicing needs. The invoices look great when they are sent out and the functionality is pretty much all there (except for the con I mentioned). Plus the cost of Fiskl is very reasonable when compared to its competitors. I would definitely recommend Fiskl for small contractors or entrepreneurs who do not need a full accounting system to operate their business. Pros There is much to like about Fiskl. The user interface is what I love the most - with it's easy to navigate screens and intuitive design. You know it is a well thought out design when you don't really need to go through any tutorials. It isn't too cluttered either - only showing the necessary information required. Functionality wise it does a lot of things most other invoicing software achieves, and I find I can complete my tasks with fewer clicks in my workflow with Fiskl - with is a plus in my eyes. For example, you can have repeating invoices (not anything special) - however in my case I have to make minor wording adjustments on each invoice, so I can simply duplicate an invoice with one click and make my minor adjustments (all within 2 minutes! - it actually takes longer to log in). Love the product and will continue to use Fiskl for my invoicing needs. Cons As my review title suggests, there is a core feature that is missing (although I believe it is currently in beta). And that is pulling in the bank transaction data feed to match payments in your bank to your invoices. This is still a manual process to mark off each invoice as paid and breaks the smooth work flow with Fiskl. For me not a huge deal as I am quite a detail oriented person, so I make it a point to reconcile payments regularly. However I can see a busy business owner losing site of which invoices are still outstanding and which ones to chase. Pros I needed a simple way to not only raise invoices but also have the ability take deposits, create payment plans and track payments made. Easy to use, complete and very solid for freelancers and solopreneurs who want to concentrate on their projects and not on their accountancy tasks! But the best part came after the "Quotes" were implemented. Cons Unfortunately in Italy, it's not useful after the digital invoicing system became mandatory in June 2019. With Fiskl I can set multiple rules whereby fiscal information of the countries I operate in are automatically provided and it changes the VAT or the GST on every single invoice. It has assisted me in being compliant without having to inspect each time. Cons There was some slight delay in synchronizing with the bank feeds. With a bit of envy I have observed that some of the most recent transactions may take a few hours to load, this means slow categorizing and reconciling when working on time-bound entries. As a result of the mobile-first strategy, I could accomplish this from the farm and even while on the go. Cons When I needed to edit a certain calculation in the case of a cyclic occurrence it does not override it quickly. The camera app will recognise the characters on your receipt with great accuracy and do the job for you. You can set invoice on the go, charge customers using the Stripe or PayPal integration and keep tracking of you gas usage or time expend on a project. It accepts multi-currency. Simple to use! Fiskl has allowed me to issue invoices in the client’s preferred language without having to translate them myself. Along with support for multiple currencies on Forex, it makes communication with the client more official and convenient. Cons One of the things that I found a little disappointing is that once an amount has been marked as an invoice payment the invoice cannot be reopened or edited. So I'm still finding it difficult to move all my money operations to this platform. Pros What I love about Fiskl: - User interface is great. - Creating invoices and adding clients is great. - You can accept payments through Stripe. - Mileage tracking is a great plus if you need to travel for work. - Being able to add products and services makes everything simpler. Cons What I miss when I use Fiskl: - PayPal integration. It seems ridiculous that we can accept payments through Stripe but not PayPal. - I would love to be able to add suppliers in the same way I can add clients. That way, I would be able to keep track of my operations with each supplier and see where I should be investing more or cutting back. - Quotes creation has been on the roadmap for some time, but it's still not implemented. Pros The thing I like best about this service is it allows me to easily keep track of expenses. I simply open the app, take a photo of my receipt, and it does the rest.
