Pros: For starters, Microsoft PowerPoint is fairly easy to use. Microsoft has been tailoring this software since the dawn of the dinosaurs, a.k.a the late 1980's, familiarity with every version of PowerPoint over the years has improved ever since. I'd like to consider it as the industry standard when it comes to presentation creation software.

The UI is intuitive, as it should be, and users could technically produce a really well structured presentation with just a little bit of practice and knowledge about its basic function. There are also advanced functions (animations, embedding videos from YouTube, inserting audios) for the more experienced users.

The variety of templates and also the Master Views (this gives us the Slide Master option) allows users to create really impressive presentations in no time.

Just like other Microsoft Office software, integration with other Microsoft Office software also gives it a lot of flexibility. An example scenario for this would be displaying a chart from

With it's ease of use and variety when it comes to creating a presentation, Microsoft PowerPoint could easily be one of the best presentation creating software in the market.

Cons: One of the biggest con I have to say about Microsoft PowerPoint would be the price. Needing to buy the entire Microsoft Office Suite package just to use it might be a little bit overkill. I know there is a free, online alternative out there, but the lack of features it has really makes it feel rather lackluster compared to the paid version.

While I did praise PowerPoint for having variety. In terms of visuals, PowerPoint might be lacking behind its competition. Other presentation creation software like Prezi, in my opinion, have better transition animations compared to PowerPoint. PowerPoint feels like it's going through cards (that's why it's called slides) when transitioning from one slide to another, it just does not feel seamless compared to the far superior animation quality that Prezi provides. If only PowerPoint gave us the option of having animations like that when creating a presentation. With that being said, the animation that PowerPoint provides to us, users, can often times feel 'low-quality', while they often do capture people's attention, overusing them does make the presentation feel incredibly distracting, while not using them at all makes it really boring.

TLDR: PowerPoint does not give visually impressive animations that other software does, and the animation it does give us can often times feel 'low-quality' if they are used in excess.

Overall: If you've already invested in Microsoft Office Suite for your business, then PowerPoint is an incredible tool for you to use when creating presentations and slideshows. If you intend of getting the Microsoft Office Suite just for PowerPoint (I honestly do not know why you would want to do that), then you're better off using the free, online version of it, or you might want to consider other presentation creation software that could give you more bang for your buck. However, if you want to use it alongside other Microsoft Office applications, then I honestly think that the Microsoft Office Suite is well worth it, given how seamlessly integrated all of the software are.

While I honestly feel PowerPoint is one of the most essential software that you need in your computer, the price just ain't cutting it.

Pros: Power point has been an invaluable software in making presentations. The feature I find most useful is having pre-designed templates which makes it easy to quickly make professional presentations. I particularly like the animated descriptions infographics sampler as they provide me with a creative and visually attractive way to describe my data. Additionally power point allows for download of additional designs and transitions from Microsoft website providing a wide range of templates.

I also like the fact that to promote user friendliness and ease of applicability PowerPoint has a user guide that outlines how to make slide shows with software tools.

Cons: There are a few features that i like least about power point and would improve it tremendously if improved in subsequent versions. These include lack of photo frame template option which makes it less suitable to make creative photo presentations. Also inability to share slide shows by directly uploading them to you tube or face book limits sharing of presentations on social media and file sizes getting large sometimes makes it difficult to share presentations.

Overall: My overall experience with PPT has been amazing. Have been using it for about 2 years now at my work place whereby being in patient and pharmaceutical data analysis department am required to make numerous presentations of data and reports. PPT has allowed me to present graphics, images and texts at a professional level using appealing slides which helps with making presentations attractive and therefore capturing attention of the audience while presenting crucial data. Also given that i work in a multi department organization where everyone might not be physically present for meetings power point has a feature that allows for presentations to be transmitted as a live broadcast over the web solving the problems of having to assemble in one area.

Given all these amazing features I strongly recommend power point for anyone in academia or business as the graphics and backgrounds will allow you to make dynamic professional presentations.

Pros: The tools and resources of PowerPoint make it an easy program to use, I as a user can use predesigned templates and customize them according to what I want to project.

It is very useful for me, since I can present concrete data as statistical elements, images and graphics according to what I am going to report. In my case, journalistic information and tourist packages.

PowerPoint for me is a very important tool for the business sector, especially because I manage the sales and public relations part. Always with the slides I am looking for an attractive way to project data and all that illustrative content that allows me to share relevant information about the products, services or corporate image that is being represented.

Cons: Some details that can be adjusted, very brief elements, the theme of the templates should always be updated, you should have more options, especially business formats. The topic of the size of the formats, currently PowerPoin is a tool for the Community Manager, should adapt it for those demands. For the rest I think that its elements are focused, only that they must constantly update them due to the technological evolution that we have.

Overall: As a journalist, it is one of my favorite tools because it is useful and easy to handle. Benefits I have had many, among the most outstanding I can say, integration of information, preparation of journalistic products for various

formats and platforms, advertising strategies designs, allows me to play with creativity when it comes to offering in the sales approach, in my case, tour packages. It is a program that adapts to the responsibility that you have at work.

Pros: It's powerful software, I'll give them that. In fact, I have no doubt that Microsoft are the pioneers behind many of the features that make presentation software so ubiquitous today.

Having taught at University for over 15 years, I've created hundreds, if not thousands, of PowerPoint presentations in my day.

That said, I've also created hundreds of non-PowerPoint presentations using dozens of different apps and software programs in that time as well.

What I appreciate most about PowerPoint is that the procedure is always the same and so is the output file format. I may not like that procedure, and it might be easier for me to get the finished product I want using another app, but there's something to be said for a reliable and valid process. Other apps and programs often have their own workflow, their own procedure for customizing templates, and often, they will only allow exports in proprietary formats that most of my students or audience members or auditorium computers have never heard of, much less installed. That's a problem.

In sum, the best thing about PowerPoint is its reliability.

Cons:

The thing I hate most about PowerPoint, and indeed all of the Office products for the last decade, is the "ribbon" control strip. I can't stand that format. It's hard for me to see, and harder for me to make use of. Aka YES, it is, in fact, a deal-breaker in my case.

Another thing I am not too pleased with is the current pricing of this product; I can understand such a high fee back when they were not only the industry standard but the only game in town. Now, however, there are hundreds of wonderful and useful apps that make beautiful presentation slides much more easily- and all for the price of a glorified coffee.

PowerPoint is the price of an espresso machine.

This is not to say that I subscribe to the mentality of, "software should be free," or just "I don't want to pay for stuff." It's just that I can't justify the cost in my own work and life, especially since I feel so strongly about the ribbon thing.

Overall: All in all, PowerPoint has been there for me since the start. I consider myself to be a power user, and would have no qualms about recommending it to complete beginner. If it's already installed, if I don't have to pay for it, if a client wants me to use it, then fine. I'll use it. But if it's up to me, if we're talking about buying the program instead of just using the program, if I have a tight deadline and can't deal with the ribbon, then, tragically, PowerPoint would not be my first choice anymore.

Pros: I have used PowerPoint for about 10 years and have evolved the types and styles of presentations I create. It's very effective to have a variety (but not too many) template options, but also the flexibility to create your own custom backgrounds, transitions, color schemes, etc. I don't think most people know how much flexibility is with this software. I recently started using the SmartArt options, which are great and easy way to dress up your information in a more visually appealing format. It takes practice to create more complicated animations and get timing correct, but it is worth it for more interesting and visual presentations. I really enjoy the presenter mode, with the timing option and ability to see the next slide. This was a great upgrade. Looking through the tabs, I see there are many other options that I have not used but look forward to exploring.

Cons: I have had some trouble imbedding or linking videos. I had a presentation where the embedded video played, but then ended before the video was finished. I couldn't figure out if this was a maximum time issue. Also, I tried to use the Video > Online Video Option, and found it difficult to find the specific video I wanted to use. Not sure if that has been upgraded since then, as today I tried it again and more easily found it. I struggled to get the videos to playback as part of my presentation. When doing a presentation, sometimes the presentation mode doesn't allow for easy playback of videos either vs. duplicate mode, if you need to click to start the video. Also, sometimes I've had issues in presenter mode if I want to click on a website during the presentation, then getting back to the presentation. Not always sure what the right method is to accomplish that.

I think I can work through most of those issues though as I continue to learn the functions/options of PowerPoint.

Overall: In the past few years, I've had colleagues who have told me to use "Prezi" instead of PowerPoint. Although it's a different presentation tool, I do not think it's quality is better than PowerPoint. I think the user is responsible for creating a presentation, and many users do not know the best practices (not overloading slides, too small text, too many transitions, colors that don't work on projection screens) thus a good or a bad presentation is made by the user, not the software. The advantage prezi seems to have is the ability to save it online and pull it up anywhere. I do not yet have Office 365, which may make this easier. Looking through PowerPoint templates online is a big help, and can assist in creating better presentations.

Pros: I have been using powerpoint for 8 years to prepare the presentation for meetings and for course facilitators. My best version yet is the 2016 version and I am finding it hard to update to newer ones. It offers diverse editing options for photo text and even pictures, numerous transition effects and I sometimes feel like am underutilizing it. The newer version should be better than 2016 but I am just comfortable with it.

You can insert pages, add and merge audio, video, slides and remove slides as you want. The user has total control over his elements.

They have numerous built-in amazing template to choose from. You can even go online to source for more but I hardly do that as the ones built in are good enough for me

The ability to add chart directly from the menu has made my job easier. they have reorganized Ribbon menu and it now offers larger toolbar while the Quick Access Toolbar just makes it seamless to change between tools.

The makers, Microsoft dishes out reliable support options which are splendid. I once had an issue with the product and I was resolved within 4 minutes via chat.

There is even an option to present your slide online from your room for others to view from their browser remotely and is a free service too.

Cons: I really would love if I can present my picture slideshow on mobile devices with powerpoint but It does not support it.

Slide presentation cannot be viewed on any system without power point installed and cannot be shared and viewed on social media. It should be made to support at least YouTube.

Powerpoint for the same reason above is not compatible with MPEG or AVI formats players.

Files from this version usually bulk up in size over a few slide pages compared to previous versions.

Lower spec systems are a drag with this version. Get at least a 4 gig ram system to use it smoothly.

Inserted Audio files do not play automatically during presentation unless you click it first which is good and also bad. The user should be deciding how they want it to function.

Overall: With powerpoint, our courses presentations are enjoyable while remote collaboration for slide correction and preview has been enhanced amongst clients and workgroup.

With powerpoint, Slide preparation is always almost a flawless.

Pros: The best aspect of this software is that it is user friendly.

Slideshows come with preset themes with easily alterable color schemes.

Integration of media content with or without internet access.

Best of all, as a leading software in the market, any PowerPoint presentation can be read on Windows and Mac platforms whereas slideshow programs originating on Mac do not always cross over well to Windows.

Use of advanced slides is made simple as they can be downloaded as a new template scheme.

One example of this is using PowerPoint to play Jeopardy style trivia to engage the audience.

This presentation tool is a staple for education in any setting. Medical professionals' training and conferences, business place meetings and marketing, schools or universities, and as updates and newsletters through email. The versatility is remarkable.

Cons: There is a lack of collaborative features in real time. Currently many features of what Google has introduced with Docs and Slides allow people to work on the go in real time. PowerPoint is more sophisticated than any online platform but if it were to integrate even a few of the collaborative features available to other Microsoft products such as OneNote then there would be nothing to complain about.

Overall: This has been a tool used in my life since I was in grade school. The evolution of presentations varied greatly over that time. I have seen integrated media, animated slides, advanced templates allowing for various trivia game style presentations and presentations designed to present themselves. PowerPoint has been a staple tool for communication in the same way that email and telephones have been staples to businesses or other organizations.

I never found any issue with PowerPoint that was not easy to solve with tools built into the program. Any advanced presentation styles could be found online and easily implemented.

Pros: In today's technologically infused world I engage daily in both business and higher education fields (both public and private), and I find time after time that PowerPoint (PPT) is my go-to presentation software program! I think its versatility and ease of use (without any formal training) has to be my favorite thing about PPT. I can provide an editable version of a PPT presentation to my students (or staff), or I can provide them with an automated slide show/video that they can simply watch to receive the desired information.

Cons: I think if I had to ask for any improvements it would be that the program would automatically prompt the user upon saving the file, if he/she would like to "compress pictures/graphics to reduce the size of the file." I have many students who have complained that they cannot upload their presentations or that it takes was too long for their files to upload into our online classes. This often can be due to the size of their files which can be quite large because of their inserted pictures/graphics. I know to always compress my graphics before saving the file, but even when instructed to do this students will often forget when under the pressure of submitting a graded or important presentation/slide show. I have experienced this with staff and other faculty/colleagues as well. Offering a simple prompt upon saving the file that asks the user "Would like to compress pictures/graphics to reduce the size of your file?" with the same 'Target output' options that are available on the Compress Pictures tool, would save effort, size, and time!

Overall: I work in both business and higher education fields in everything from application software set-up, international communications, or budget timelines to educating teachers in the integration of technology into the classroom from Early Childhood Development up through high school and/or Special Education as well as adult Organizational Management and Leadership, and Business Data and Information Management all of which requires presentations and dissemination of information in an effective and manageable way. Using PowerPoint for all of these needs has truly been a successful venture. With the ability to add graphics, hyperlinks, voice over recordings, embedded videos, music, timed and professional transitions and the options to save as editable presentations, or view only automated slide shows and Digital Stories, I have been able to create robust and interactive presentations that I share on a regular basis. Whether it's a live, in-person presentation, or an emailed or uploaded slideshow or digital story, I can trust that PowerPoint will help me share and educator others.

Pros: Overall it is easy to use and there are a lot of excellent features for animating the presentation, designing layouts, editing of photos, with lots and lots of options.

Cons: The software is good, and they do offer a lot, but many of the features are unknown. Maybe I need to do more reading, but it seems like some features are buried to for deep or in not intuitive locations. Yes, not everything be so easy, because if it's too easy, that means it's only meant for beginners. PowerPoint can be used by beginners and experts. One thing I don't care for, but I suppose it's a necessary evil, is every so often as we've seen, they modify the ribbon. When that gets modified, then it's look for the features all over again.

One feature I wish was in it is the ability to make the text in the Notes pane different sizes and fonts. I don't necessarily need all kinds of wild fonts, but at least allow me to use either sorry for Sans Serif and give a few options. Additionally, I don't like that the size is fixed. Sometimes I want to have a bigger font I can't do it, or at least I don't know how to do it. Maybe there is a way, I just have figured it out yet.

Overall: Since the late 90s. It has continuously been improved, yet it's been the bane of all tortuous training programs. You'll call it death by PowerPoint for good reason. Often is because the user doesn't how to design good training programs. Some of the options that they do provide are over-the-top and unnecessary, especially the sound effects when the slides transition or start. Those things can just go away!

Overall though, it's been very helpful and useful with other programs that integrate with PowerPoint, particularly for creating online training courses. For that I have to say I do like PowerPoint a lot. I don't even know of any other options besides PowerPoint. Yes, I know of Google Docs, but it's not the same. Close, but not the same.

Pros: Within the tools offered by Microsoft Office, PowerPoint is an excellent program for presentation with dynamic and attractive slides, which has many types of templates that can be modified and apply designs according to the need to have when mounting a presentation, designs among which you can choose the predesigned ones in the same program or adapt different ones. For the design of the templates you can add texts with different types of letters, sizes and colors, you can also add images, photos, tables, graphics, videos, audios, among others according to the taste, need and user criteria. It also gives us tools to show the presentation as animations, sounds, effects that help to improve the aesthetics of the presentation. Another important aspect is that it allows you to add hyperlinks to connect with other files that may be considered important in some part of the exhibition at the time of showing the presentation. It is easy to save in PC memory and can be reopened and modified if required without any problem, additional can be saved in different formats. It has the option of allowing you to review the slides as they are made, to be corrected in the same process, additional has the view of moderates on the side of the screen. It also allows to add time for the practices prior to the formal presentation, and even to establish and meet the stipulated time for the presentation. It is a very practical program and can be used to present research results, as a help tool in class

Cons: Power Point is a tool of daily use in my work as a teacher - researcher and I have never had problems with the use and application of it in the day to day of my duties, I have no objection to the program, rather it seems a tool very valuable in the educational - business environment.

Overall: Power Point has allowed me to make presentations with slides, where I develop the content of the classes to transmit them to my students in a dynamic, interactive and with the largest number of applications that makes the transmission of knowledge more practical and easy, and even makes Students are more attracted to the content developed. As a researcher it is a tool used to develop presentations of research results for presentations at academic events. Both as a teacher and researcher this tool has allowed me to develop my presentations according to the target audience, with the use of many applications (texts, photos, images, sounds, videos, tables, graphics, among others), it has allowed me to connect my presentations with other files that interests me at particular times show. It really is a practical tool, and very important for the development of my functions.

Pros: Microsoft PowerPoint is the premier application for creating, editing, and reviewing presentation slides. While PowerPoint does come at a price, as opposed to other, free slideshow editing software, the features that are provided justify every cent of the price. Features include basically ever edit/insert imaginable and are intuitive to find. If you have to make a slideshow for any purpose and can afford it, there is no reason to deny yourself this program. Ultimately, there is a reason slideshow presentations are now colloquially referred to as PowerPoints!

Cons: Frankly, price is one of the largest issues I have with this product. Given that this is one of the most common, standard-setting applications on the market, it is disappointing to see that there are not many options available when it comes time to purchase. Namely, PowerPoint is not available separately and can only be purchased as part of the Microsoft Office Suite. This program suite includes several other programs, some used frequently while others are not used by me at all, and can only be purchased either annually, or permanently on one device. As a Geek Squad agent, I have helped several individuals set up their PowerPoint software and have found in several situations the setup can be quite a hassle. Specifically, I would input their key code into the program and it would not authenticate their account. This was easily remedied by refunding their product and using a new key, but if someone is setting their account up without support one may run into trouble.

Overall: Overall, my lifetime experience with PowerPoint has been great. I have created dozens of PowerPoints and seen thousands. PowerPoint has, more than any other program, improved the way information is disseminated in group settings. Informative business meetings can now be even more so with the help of a slideshow presentation. Class lectures now allow for more retention by placing important points in front of the audience. The digital nature of PowerPoints allows for data to be saved and pulled up later. As well, changes can be made on the fly to adapt a PowerPoint to a specific audience or account for new, ever-changing information.

Pros: I have been using PowerPoint for years for my own presentations and to edit presentations for c-level executives at conferences. I've learned that PowerPoint can do a lot more than I thought. One of its capabilities I love the most is that I can insert vector files from Adobe Illustrator onto a PowerPoint slide and the formatting doesn't change. This is great when someone from sales needs an infographic I previously designed added to their presentation. And when I'm building something from scratch within PowerPoint, there are a lot of design features that allow me to build graphics just as vibrant as those built with an Adobe application. The shapes and icons that are already installed look great, I can format their dimensions to make everything look uniform, the animations are easy to apply to each image or shape, and it's honestly even easier to use than Illustrator. PowerPoint is way more than just text on slides. You can easily create a visually dynamic presentation if you take a closer look at its design features. I love all of them.

Cons: The hardest part about using PowerPoint is when you're trying to create slide templates using the Slide Master feature. The logos, fonts, colors, headers or whatever you use on the template will stay put on the slide unless you go back into Slide Master mode to made edits to the template. But there were times when the person I shared a template with wanted to make a change or remove something from the template to make an especially large graphic fit on a slide. This created extra work for me because PowerPoint's Slide Master mode is a bit difficult to understand and I end up having to go back and help people make changes, which defeats the purpose of having a template. I wish it were easier to use for beginners.

Pros: What I like most about this software is that it is easy to use, it is adaptable to any business and engineering activity, showing graphics, images and text in presentations at a professional level. I have always had the impression that was designed thinking about the oil industry, most of the daily reports and meetings in the oil business use the PowerPoint format, in these are shown specialized schemes and graphics among others.

The connectivity feature and direct compatibility with other Microsoft tools such as Exel and Word are very useful and save time in the daily activities and requirements of the oil business.

In my place of work daily they request presentations and reports, using PowerPoint we can solve in time.

I use this program since my beginnings in the oil industry, back in 1996, it was the PowerPoint95 version, since that time it has been an essential tool in my professional development.

Cons: What I like least about this software are some graphic limitations in terms of bitmap image resolution and the high use of RAM memory that require the best graphic resolution vector images. Although these features have been improving over time, I would like in the future to be able to compare PowerPoint with a Canvas type tool in terms of the graphic quality of objects and images.

Another feature that can be improved is the incompatibility of files generated in more recent versions of the program with older versions.

Overall: This software has allowed me to show professional presentations in a short time and thus meet the requirements of the oil business.

I can build a contet grid for the Social Media accounts I manage, and in that way I can show my work to my clients in a dynamic way. They really love my job because of that.

Nevertheless, what I like the most about Power Point is that I can turn my presentations to PDF, so I can save that content on my Smartphone and schedule all post in an easier way.

Power Point its very easy to learn how to use it, you don't really need a guide or something like that. Also, if you are a begginer or you don't have any ideas to start your presentation, this program gives you several template options to choose and make a sucessful job.

But wait a minute, I don't only use Power Point for my Social Media content, I used it to create business documents, so that way is easier for the company's graphic designer to build the design for the final presentation.

As well, Power Point is very useful for my academic issues, I ussually create the material support for my oral evaluations, and it really helps to keep the attention of my classmates and it makes funny and dynamic a complex subject.

Cons: I don't know if this is because of my computer, but sometimes the program gets frozen, just for a few minutes, but the frequency of that problem I can count it with the fingers of one hand, so it's not a big deal.

I think I don't have something I like least about this software. I really love all Microsoft products.

Overall: Thanks to Power Point I can give an idea to the graphic designer about how I want my design to look, in this way the contents are delivered with greater speed to the clients.

In addition, I have learned certain notions of graphic design that have helped me to grow in my profession of Community Management, allowing me to offer a more complete service.

Pros: It allows to edit and segment information and present it with greater efficiency, clearly and concisely, in order to create a graphical user interface that is effective and maintains the attention of the public during its presentation.

One of the elements that most characterizes it is its portability, since it can be moved without any problem, using any web medium or portable storage means.

It offers users a range of predetermined templates as well as the ease of incorporating new custom designs, as well as allowing to combine images, animations, videos, texts, sounds and hyperlinks in the presentation that allowed the user to produce a high level presentation.

It is a tool that is widely used in the educational field and in the business world, since it allows adding value to the different activities and projects that must be carried out.

In its latest updates, the PowerPoint 2016 version emphasizes the functionality of facilitating the collaboration of the work teams, for which a presentation can be accessed and modified at the same time, thus being able to monitor the accesses and define if they are maintained or not changes made by another team member in it.

Cons: Even when PowerPoint presentations can be stored on any computer or device, the disadvantage that the file can be affected by a virus or accidentally deleted can be lost if the information is not backed up. But I think it's a problem that occurs on all platforms because when you have permission to create you can also delete.

In relation to its portability, a disadvantage is that at the time of its presentation, all the provisions regarding the elements incorporated in the design must be taken, since there may be problems in generating errors if the necessary files are not stored in the system. equipment in which it is going to be carried out, and the compatibility in other equipment is not guaranteed. In the case of the use of hyperlinks in this aspect of portability, it must be verified that the linked data has not been moved and is in the correct location, verifying the access path of that source file, and thus avoiding Problems at the time of the presentation.

Another disadvantage that can be mentioned is when saving the presentation, given that its compatibility must be specified for those cases in which it is necessary to work with previous presentations of the program, among them it must be saved in extension .ppt so that it can be visualized in other versions and thus access the functionality in its entirety.

Overall:

During my studies it was a tool that I could use throughout my career to develop projects and add value to the exhibitions I had to do. In my work, PowerPoint has allowed me to work dynamically for many years and to make known my ideas and different contributions in the activities and projects developed by the institution where I work, as well as in the activities that I carry out as a facilitator of courses in different themes

Pros: As IT project manager and Business Analyst, I'm using Powerpoint on a daily basis. It's is very easy to use and powerful. I can start from a blank page and produce a impressive presentation or diagrams very quickly.

I particularly appreciate the slide view that helps me to re-order my slides to create my story line.

I also appreciate the "hide slide" function that I use to customizemy presentation for specific audiences.

The fact that PowerPoint is commonly use in my business sector is also a plus. It's de-facto a standard that people can use to exchange ideas. It's also very easy to find video tutorials and free templates on the web.

I also use it for non-presentation tasks like creating Wireframes, UX diagrams, comic strip for communication or small advert pictures that I can use on social media (in jpg format).

During the presentation, the presenter view is really great and deserve to be improved.

Cons: If you want to create an impressive presentation, you have to start from a blank page, period.

There a no theme that looks great or attractive. When you compare it with Keynote on Mac, it's quite disappointing. So I do it manually and copy paste one of my previous presentations for the layout.

Your design could crash when you try to play your presentation on a guest PC. Most of the time due to some missing fonts. I know that you can change the save option to embed it but it is not intuitive and it's easily forget when you are in a rush.

Alignement of objects is not always easy. I would appreciate some dynamic guides when I move an item on the page.

The file size is often very big. Especially when you start to include images.

As previously mentioned, the presenter view is really great and deserve to be improved: bigger fonts for notes and more flexibility in the presenter view layout.

Overall: Improved my reputation as IT expert and UX specialist. People call me to design their presentations.

Pros: There are so many pros, it is hard to know where to begin. PowerPoint is chock-full of different features.

- Themes are included to give an easy layout for your business presentations

- Simple image editing has been included so other programs do not need to be used

- Animation, both simple and more advanced, is a breeze in PowerPoint

- Transitions between slides can make for a more seamless presentation

- PowerPoint supports dual monitors so you as the presenter can see more information than the audience

- An export feature allows you to export slides as a PDF or basically any kind of document you could want if you would rather display your information a different way

- Text editing is as simple as it is any Word Processing program

- While it is feature-heavy, the user interface allows for even beginners to create visually appealing presentations

That is a list of just some of the advantages to this software. However, the most important advantage is its speed. I can have a decent presentation created in less than 15 minutes. The amount of time I have saved using this program is certainly shocking, and I have not had to sacrifice quality to do it.

Cons: Unfortunately, PowerPoint is included with Microsoft Office, meaning it is certainly not freeware. However, considering its Power (Overall: This has saved me both time and worry in the realm of presentations. It is a must-have for anyone who wants to include a visual with any of their business presentations.

Pros: PowerPoint is an application used for the creation and distribution of presentations in meetings, courses and events, quite functional and very complete, capable of making simple presentations to very complex designs. I think PowerPoint is a super powerful tool totally underused. It is excellent in the sense that if you do not master specific design programs such as illustrator or Photoshop, and want to create other types of documents such as an ebook or an infographic, you can create your own template, generate the content and then export your presentation as PDF or as an image to share it. It has a huge amount of automatic tools, such as the alignment of objects, the ability to combine them according to the needs, make transparencies for more professional finishes and something very great that has is the ability to create and use keyboard shortcuts in the autocorrector helping us to save weather. It can also be used to create more visual and infographics, filling forms with images. For example, you could create a bar graph, copy it and paste it back as an image, and use it to fill in a silhouette. it gives the ability to add audios and narrationsyo our slides, giving us the possibility to make small editions and a total control of these to unify them with the presentation. Finally, PowerPoint offers a world of possibilities and very useful tools for companies, characterizing it because anyone is able to use it, but if you put a little more effort you can make great slides.

Cons: Creating attractive PowerPoint slides can be a task takes a lot of work compared to creating a projected presentation, a whiteboard or other visual materials. Most people do not have time to develop content and then learn how to turn it into a motivating and impressive presentation. If the PowerPoint slides seem rushed or flawed, it could seem that no time was spent preparing, decreasing the effectiveness of the presentation.

What appears on the slides is not always what appears in the presentation, the colors and font types displayed on the computer will not necessarily be the same in your presentation.

Pros: I have used Power Point for many years, I use it very well, it is a very easy tool to use with a great variety of predesigned template that facilitates the use, but also gives you all the necessary tools to create them according to your needs, this program has a variety of extensions with which the file can be saved, among which are the native extensions of the program such as PPT which is the extension with which you can edit the slide that is being made and PPS which is the extension with the that the program recognizes the slide and executes it.

The PowerPoint is one of the most widespread, versatile, and sensitive programs and has a very extensive range of tools with which you can customize the slides we make, such as:

The use of templates; that can be done by the user, in addition to those that are already pre-established, you can enter texts varying the color and size of the letters according to the needs and tastes of the user.

You can insert images facilitating a better understanding of what the slide is about and inserting texts to the images complementing the exhibition.

It has animation tools, with which you can give effects to texts and images, giving it a better appearance.

In the audio you can vary between inserting music, explanations, narrations, or related talks that can be adjusted.

Among other.

Cons:

The disadvantage, the PowerPoint user has gives you the tools to make an excellent presentation, fun, bright, entertaining and interesting among other qualities, but you as a user can make it boring, overloaded with effects with unusual templates, is as creative as you want it to be

Overall: PowerPoint always helps me to capture the attention of those to whom I present my material. As Security Coordinator I train and train more than 3000 people per project, in the different branches of my specialty.

Pros: I am a user of Microsoft Power Poin which I use daily, it has been a very useful work tool, since I can make presentations with professional quality, not only within the institution where I work as a leader of the Technological Platform but also in other private organizations to which I work giving advice.

It seems to me that the tools of text editing, the incoportacion of images, photographs and videos give a great professionalism to this great tool.

The effects of transition gives a very attractive option which causes the participants to have their attention to 100% of the subject.

Also, the incorporation of Data from Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access complements the information that I want my listeners to be attentive.

I can widely recommend the use of this great tool that gives a very important touch to my work, being able to project all the ideas and important concepts of the activity.

Cons: As a regular user of Microsoft Power Point, I can say that one of the few disadvantages that it has is the use of new versions that incorporate functions that when opening or running on a computer with an old version, these wonderful effects are lost. have been used, what we have to do frequently if we want to share is to save for previous versions.

Also, it has against this software that we must always be protected with a good anti virus, that protects the operating system from malicious software and that at the time of sharing our presentations is not infected and we cause disloyalty to our colleagues.

Something very interesting is not to include too many animations that distract the attention of the participants. Also, the file would be very heavy with a lot of megabits.

Overall: This software has allowed me to share my experience with a product that has helped me a lot in my professional environment, as well as see the evaluations of other professionals before acquiring it and have a good opinion of them and know their benefits.

Pros: PowerPoint is a very straightforward and comprehensive software, when used for the simple task of delivering quick, text-centric content it is a cost-effective and simple tool to use. Users have the ability to create fast and easy to read presentations for a wide variety of purposes. There is a reason why MS. PowerPoint is a standard application and a requirement for most professionals. The application has an added benefit of being accessible on tablets and mobile devices. Another great feature is the "presenter view" which allows the presenter to view and anticipate the content being presented when creating a presentation you can also add comments to further add details to your slide.

Cons: PowerPoint's slide-based model is one of the oldest tricks in the book, it is absolutely the simplest format one can think of to deliver content aside from emails. However, in 2018 there are far better options out there such as Adobe Captivate and Camtasia (which has PowerPoint integration).

The hyperlinking is faulty at times and can use some improvement. The files can get damaged when transferred, especially via email.

Adding audio or video to PowerPoint could prove slightly complicated at times if you are not well versed in how to use it.

PowerPoint requires creativity if you want your slides to not be boring.

Overall: This software allows me to really deliver training content to my peers and employees. It is useful even when creating e-learning content using other recording software in tandem with PPT.

I believe that it is an absolute requirement to learn and understand how to use Microsoft PowerPoint. The updates and improvements made by Microsoft have really made this product a must use for corporations and single users alike.

Pros: It has several advantages among these are the following:

1. An editor, which serves not only to write text but also to give it the desired format (size, typography, color, alignment).

2. A system that is responsible for being able to insert both photographs and audios and even video files. All these elements that complement and reinforce the textual content.

3. A system that proceeds to show all the content, whatever the type, in an absolutely continuous way.

4. You can insert images that give a better presentation to the slide, making it easier to understand what the slide is about, as well as being able to insert texts to the images complementing the exhibition.

5. It has animation tools, with which you can give effects to texts and images, giving it a better appearance.

6. Make graphics.

7. Add videos and audios.

Cons: One of the biggest disadvantages is:

1. What happens with this software is with the versions with which the original file has been saved and the user that was sent or sent could not view the presentation due to not having the program installed on the computer.

2. It can be saved and sent easily, but there is a risk that it will be damaged by a virus

3. Presentation of ideas hierarchically, which can be a distraction for the audience.

4. It is a presentation that tends to distract the public by the number of movements and does not pay attention to the information that is being delivered

Overall: 1. Allows you to easily create a brainstorm

2. Provide more energy and visual impact to presentations.

3. You can organize and print the slides in a more efficient way

4. You can organize information thousands of times

5. It helps you not to exceed your length when writing

6. Performs tasks and assignments more quickly

7. Create high quality presentations and you can add, photos, graphics, tables, music, among others

8. You can work together with several users who also make dynamic presentations and you can organize the files to bring the order of the presenters in a very practical and efficient way

Pros: Powerpoint is easy to use. Once you understand that the secret is an extensive use of the mouse right click - you can get almost anything done. The color, fonts, sizes and other features behave the same as in all other MS products. So if you ever worked with Word or Excel it is a pretty seamless experience even for beginners. A lot of the available features change according to the item that is currently selected, thus predicting your next steps and needs. This behavior in the product has been improving more and more from one version to the next.

Cons: There is a difference between the product version for Mac and PC. I find the PC version more robust and friendly.

Presentations, especially those with a lot of graphics can become very heavy. The feature allowing to reduce presentation size is hidden, and you have to be an advanced user to easily find it.

It is still frustrating when you copy slides from one presentation to another and all the design changes. In order to keep the original design you have to know where to look for the "keep original design" command. I have seen this happen many times and waste a lot of people's precious time, all because this feature is hidden. That is a shame.

Overall: I have been using this product for years and it gets better and easier with every version.

It is dependable and solid.

I find it easy to use, and easy to explain to others how to use it (I am considered and expert of this tool in the company I work at).

Although some features are hard to find even though they are highly needed - like resizing of files - I still think this is a good tool with high value for money.

Pros: Most of all, PowerPoint is user-friendly which is my number one criteria for software.

I think of all the Microsoft business software, PowerPoint is the easiest to learn, the most fun (because I love design.) And, it's not just for slide shows anymore! Change the size, turn the grids on and you've got powerful design software for any design project.

I like the way they've integrated it with the cloud for saving files. This makes it even more versatile from the desktop.

The new 'Design' utility in Office 365 is outstanding! I am an ongoing self-taught designer and this new feature has my full attention. I like it!

Cons: This is a big, powerful piece of software that can be cumbersome. It sometimes crashes (which I believe is the reason they have their 'restore' utility on point at all times.)

However, I have to interject that it is not as cumbersome as Adobe products that slow my poor little lap top down and makes me pray for a solid state drive.

So, if I have to choose between the two, I choose Microsoft. On my home system, it works better. When I worked 8 - 5 in business offices with high-speed internet, there was no noticeable difference between the speed of the two products, but at home, there is a big difference.

Overall: I'm making this my home business. After 10 years of social media marketing, I've come back to the basics of business and specializing in design projects that primarily utilize PowerPoint.

However, it is not stand alone. For example, I sometimes use it in conjunction with online services such as Canva, ColorZilla, and purchased graphic assets from Creative Market.

I use PowerPoint all the time. It is my primary presentation software.

Pros: I find ppt very easy to use, and have been using it since I can remember. It has all of the essentials I need to create a good looking, professional presentation, and features that make it look like I know a lot more about design than I do. Designing a background by uploading a file and making it transparent, for instance ... looks stellar. Adding in some animation also makes your presentation feel more interactive, but doesn't take much effort at all. The available icons make it look more modern. There are a number of features that contribute to ease of use as well. It is easy to paste graphics/text in (for instance, ours or a client's company logo) and insert other pictures and files. Things are easy to insert, move around, play with, duplicate and edit. I also appreciate that there are templates you can choose when you aren't feeling very inspired. There are usually multiple people who are looking at the same ppt in our company, so the ability to insert comments is also super helpful. All of this being said, I think the software has a lot of other capabilities and functionalities that I have most likely not explored. For instance, every time I ask my Director of Marketing about something related to ppt, she usually shows me something I did not know before, and says that she discovers these features solely by Googling how to do something.

Cons: One thing I would say that I would love to see is some sort of process map feature. When I need to make a very custom process map I use Gliffy, export the diagram, and copy/paste it into my ppt presentation. Also - and this is a big one - for whatever reason, I have a lot of trouble when I am using the Slide Master View to insert a logo which needs to be on every page. I have Googled it, played with it, and always end up doing it manually (as in, pasting our logo onto every single slide). To be honest it drives me NUTS.

Overall: We are able to create attractive bespoke presentations for internal use as well as client projects with ease.

Pros: I have used PowerPoint as a support tool in my professional activity as a teacher and analyst of investments and business opportunities, finding in its functionality the answer to my didactic, strategic and operative needs for the diffusion of knowledge, the explanation of diverse topics and the schematization of a great variety of contents destined to the visualization of audiences of very varied nature in environments of face-to-face and viirtual learning, as well as in environments of discussion, negotiation and socialization of plans and projects. This allows me to affirm that it is a tool that facilitates team work, the organization of content for its dissemination and the synchronous and asynchronous projection of topics.

PowerPoint is a friendly and intuitive software that allows the production and editing of content for both beginner and expert users, providing facilities for the inclusion of images, animations, and a great diversity of multimedia resources.

Considering the basic minimums in terms of content organization, color harmony and selection of relevant graphics and images, is an excellent companion in the execution of meetings, classes, tutorials, brainstorming sessions, among other forms of exchange and individual and / or group job with teamworks.

In addition, the possibility of exporting the product made with PowerPoint as a video, gives it a plus that can not be ignored, as it obtains greater portability of the resources produced with this tool.

Cons: In some versions, design elements are lost due to incompatibility with previous versions and, mainly, due to incompatibility with free software.

Similarly, as a frequent user of the program, I would expect more freedom and openness for the edition of the SmartArts in response to the needs of the users without presenting such noticeable alterations in the proportion and distribution of the graphics that make them up.

Overall: Portability of ideas, easy to outline and compile content to be exposed to various public, harmony of content, ease of operation, low consumption of resources on the PC and friendly and intuitive operability for the achievement of effective presentations.

Pros: I like this software that can now be used in different operating systems in addition to having user-friendly tools allowing generating ideas and creativity with each of these tools within the software. The ability to download this tool on any device facilitates the creation of executive and school presentation work. The templates that are predetermined are attractive that facilitate the creation of a dynamic graphic and visual content.

Recommended for anyone, whether it's for a high school student or a senior executive...

In a professional environment, I think it is the simplest and has many features (add-ons) to express any complex idea in a simple way to the end user or in a team meeting. Microsoft PowerPoint is an easy-to-use and powerful program. Continue to improve the program and continue to benefit from these products that allow us to teach others and share details. I have been using Powerpoint for more than 10 years to create presentations in all areas of my life. At work, when I was at school and at home with children. I really like the simplicity of the program and its ability. It makes my presentations fun and interesting due to its features such as animations, color-coded themes and fun templates. Let me start by saying that it is the software of all the educators and presenters (at least in my field) like me. It makes it easy not only to present information professionally, but it can also be used to edit photos, create instructions and format photos and text in

Cons: Its license is very expensive, it loses the structure of the slides when it is used in free software. Computers must have a lot of capacity to implement presentations without problems. Your files are very capable.

Maybe I can say that this is the problem of Powerpoint:when you want to insert large files as videos, it takes a long time, but I do not know if it is a program or a computer.

Although PowerPoint offers many different types of templates for you to use in your presentations, which makes it much easier to create professional-looking slide shows, you can not edit these templates. This has been a big negative for me, since there are many times when I want to use a template but I do not want everything to be included; You may need to delete a graphic or a form, but it is not possible. When you use a template, you must keep the funds the same. This often means that I can not use a template and I have to create my presentation from scratch.

From a design point of view, Powerpoint still has a lot to do to increase ease of use. The whole concept of inserting shapes and selecting multiple shapes at the same time to change something like the thickness of the color or stroke is very difficult. I would really like to see an improvement in the design tools they offer in the program, not only to make it easier but also to allow a more complex design to occur.

To say that I do not like something about Powerpoint would be false for me, since I do not really see anything i

Pros: Types of content supported, simple interface, powerful engine, superior quality, stability, support for other Microsoft Office products.

Cons: This is the only software that I cannot think of a single con for!

Overall: I have been using Microsoft PowerPoint since the Office 97 days. I cannot imagine work life without this great tool. The importance of presentation quality cannot be underestimated because it usually provides the first impression about your company, product, or self. 95% of all presentations you see are made with Microsoft PowerPoint. There are over 1 billion PowerPoint users so that right there tells you how great of a product it is.

PowerPoint's strength is in its intuitive user interface that follows the look and feel of other Microsoft Office products. So, if you have used MS Word before for example, then you can easily navigate through PowerPoint and create a presentation quickly. For each presentation, you can choose a template theme that defines its color and gives your presentation a consistent and professional look. Microsoft provides a ton of templates to download from within PowerPoint itself right at the welcome screen.

As for the presentation elements, your presentation is made of individual slides (pages) and each slide can contain just about any type of material you want like images, text, video, animated GIFs, tables, graphs, etc. Adding any of these elements is as simply as clicking Insert-picture for example. PowerPoint also includes a powerful and equally simple to use animation engine to animate your slide's content (like making text fly in or out) or animate the way slides progress (called Transition effects).

One thing most PowerPoint users don't know is that PowerPoint is very often used to create video presentation slides and backdrops for webcasts. There are several high quality professional PowerPoint plug-ins like Camtasia Studio that allow you to turn your presentation into a video with background music, onscreen graphics, and much more.

PowerPoint has moved from just a presentation tool into a platform in itself where developers are now creating tools that run on PowerPoint's engine. Checkout iSpring Suite for example which turns PowerPoint presentations into online eLearning courses that are SCORM compliant and can be integrated into most Learning Management Systems.

In summary, PowerPoint helps you build strong and professional first impressions about your company and products. It is a very powerful platform with countless features and very powerful 4rd party add-ons. It's worth every single penny you will spend buying it.

Recommendations to other buyers: PowerPoint is an absolute necessity for any working professional regardless of line of business, you will always find yourself preparing material to show others and there is no better way to do it than in a PowerPoint presentation.

Pros: I like it because in a slide nothing is arbitrary, everything is relevant, that is, all the elements that make up a slide must have a relationship, a visual connection. In this way the sum of the elements is made part of a whole. In my work there are many presentations of statistics, representation of graphs and tables and this tool makes it possible to insert them so that the results of the project are understood clearly and simply, you can make your presentation something harmonious, placing a template that correspond to what you submit to attract the attention and understanding of the public, combining all the elements that make up your work, there must always be a homogeneity in terms of typography, sizes, colors, as well as other important aspects such as images, transitions and alignments that this tool allows you.

Cons: This tool is used many times because there are many presentations of a specific topic with different groups of individuals interested in this topic, the files can be saved and sent easily, but there is a risk that it is easily damaged because of some virus It must be taken into account that this is one of the most frequent disadvantages and several backups of the information must be carried out.

Overall:

It is a tool that facilitates the presentation of the work assigned to me, to expose the results of the activities that are carried out in my work space, where I demonstrate and project with clarity the results and the different alternatives to obtain solutions of the problems that have been presented in the execution of the activities.

Pros: Microsoft Powerpoint is one of the best and most sophisticated tool for creating powerpoint presentations.

It really helps to put our ideas across by using combinations of different media elements. It is best platform tool used by corporates, education institutes, etc. I personally demonstrate new features to my class students using powerpoint slides.

It is easy to design a slide, provide good backgrounds, templates, colors, etc. It is very easy to place text and images on a slide in any place in any manner.

Slide animation and individual elements animation really adds a boost to this platform as it can be used accordingly while representing data to others.

Slide master helps to set a proper template across all slides and we can use in-built or custom themes too.

There are various other features that are provided by MS PowerPoint and it indeed helps a lot in the long run.

Cons: PowerPoint has become very outdated although MS Office keeps on updating providing it a bit of new added features. However, those in the technology field would know, the new tool Microsoft Sway launched few years back can also provide almost similar features like the MS PowerPoint, as it is preferred for storyboard telling.

MS Office suite is pretty expensive but a value for money for all the features they provide.

Macros in PowerPoint is really tough when compared with MS Excel, as they need to be custom programmed instead of being captured and run automatically, making it tougher to use.

Pros: I am a Graphic Designer who uses Adobe Creative Suite, but I find I need to use Powerpoint to make documents that are easily editable by my peers. I can create presentations, emails, printed artwork, documents, and more right in the PowerPoint software. It truly is a power house of software for basic communication needs.

Cons: PowerPoint is really designed for digital presentations, but I use it more for printed publications than anything else! I think the Team at Microsoft needs to look at rebranding PowerPoint into the application it truly is. If they could combine other features of Microsoft Publisher into PowerPoint and rebrand it, it would be such an amazing all in one print and digital design software. This isn't really a negative, but more of a branding and development topic for this application.

Overall: I have been using Powerpoint since I was around 10 years old. Back then I was using it to create funny animations (well what I thought were funny at age 10 anyway.) Now I am a Graphic Designer working for a major entertainment company. I have extensive background in pro design suites such as Adobe, but I have found that even in a creative role, Powerpoint is the go to software for creating easily editable templates and tools for other members of my team who do not have the expertise for pro softwares. I can easily design most requested documents in PowerPoint and substitute custom artwork from Adobe into my design. By using PowerPoint I am able to share files for the team to easily update as needed. I would have a lot more work on my hands doing simple updates without it. Oh, and did I even mention this software wasn't even designed for the Print material I use it for?

Pros: This software is easy to use. I create a weekly presentation for an online class I teach. I really don't do anything super fancy. I'm proficient in power point but not sophisticated. PowerPoint is great for presentations. Even if you've never used the software, I believe you can figure out how to use its basic features very easily. It's fairly easy to intuit your way through the program.

One of the features I like is the ability to hide slides. I may reuse a presentation for a different audience and I don't want to create a new presentation but I also don't want to use all the slides I'd used before. I can easily hide slides that I don't need and bring them back when I do need them.

Another feature I like is the slide show mode. I'm able to have each individual slide fill the entire screen for a presentation. I'm generally using it for online presentation. There are hidden buttons in the lower left hand side of the slide that allow me to go backwards and forwards in the absence of a clicker.

Finally, you really can create any style presentation you want. I tend to use the prefab presentations offered in the templates. But with a budget or some know how you can create a really awesome presentation that wows your audience.

Cons: What I like least about the software is probably not Microsoft's fault. I see really fancy presentations and I never find those templates when I'm creating the presentation. I don't know if I need to go to a special site or what.

There's also a ton of functionality that I'm missing out on because I don't fully know how to use the software. I could probably benefit from a Lynda.com course to fully understand what this program can do.

Overall: Create customized presentations to really tell your story.

Choose from several prefab slide templates if you don't know how to create your own.

Pros: Microsoft PowerPoint is the ideal application for creating, editing and presentation. Even though the tool is a bit pricey when compared to other competitors, it offers more features that justifies the high cost. In our organisation, this tools comes in handy when it comes to presentation in a meeting as the slides makes the whole process effortless. It is easy to insert Adobe illustrator and vector files into a PowerPoint slide which makes it even better. When I want to build something from scratch, there are numerous design features that allows me to easily design graphics that as great as those built using Adobe application. Since my work as engineer involves daily presentations and reports, PowerPoint makes all my work easier and organised. Last but not least, PowerPoint is one of the easy to use tools

Cons: I do not like the fact that PowerPoint is include in Microsoft Word since this means that it not a free tool. Also, to use this tool, you need to have a good anti virus that protects the operating system from malicious software and to ensure that presentations are not infected. Adding sound and video to PowerPoint is not easy and not many people can handle it. To effectively use this tool, you not only need the basic skills but also a lot of creativity.

Overall: PowerPoint is a great tool and it has been of a great assistance to me and our organisation. It has made presentations easier and designing custom slides effortless. It is a useful tool for any business

Pros: Microsoft PowerPoint is a well-featured and easy to use program for creating and presenting presentations. PowerPoint makes it very easy to create visually appealing presentations with its templates, transitions, animations, and SmartArt. The interface is capable without being too cluttered and makes it easy to quickly create and reformat slides.

After creating a presentation, there are a variety of formats for exporting to both digital and physical media, which I believe is one of the best features of the program. For example, a .ppsx file can be created that will automatically boot to the slideshow after opening, or a presentation can be printed out in 6 slides per page with space for annotations.

PowerPoint also integrates with other programs in the Microsoft Suite such as Excel and Publisher where excel and publisher charts and graphics can easily be transferred over..

Cons: PowerPoint is paid software and typically part of the Microsoft Office Suite. This means that you must seriously consider the benefits of using PowerPoint over an option like Google Slides, which may not have some of the features but is offered for free. Competitors like the ones found in the Google Suite also have some more features that are either on Google due to it being on the cloud. This includes autosaving and collaboration, easy embeds of online images and videos, and being able to use the Google Sheet on any platform.

Pros: PowerPoint is my go to presentation software. It is user friendly and does everything I need it to.

I like multiple features of PowerPoint but some worth mentioning include the tools for timing, the slide transition features and the ready made themes.

Often, I use PowerPoint for images. I like to edit and play with images in PowerPoint because it is not as tedious as doing this in Word. I always insert my screenshots into PowerPoint for example.

I like that it has no bugs and is seamless in its screen view. I can rely on PowerPoint to not go wrong during important presentations.

Given that most people use Microsoft office, PowerPoint files are widely accepted, especially in academia. I like this because when I see presentations in conferences, I notice certain aspects that I would be able to do for my own produced presentations.

Cons: For me, one particular thing that bothers me is attached files. It is frustrating that if giving a presentation that had a video in it to play (or a recording), I need to ensure that that file path has been set for it to work. Too many times I have seen presentations using PowerPoint where the presenters have been unable to play their media.

Additionally, I do not appreciate the high costs to receive Microsoft office. If it weren't for me being a student, I would struggle to equip my computer with this software. Luckily, they offer student discount and some universities offer the suite, but what about those who need such a productive software but cannot afford it? Even if older versions were offered to these people, it would be helpful. The basics is all one needs.

Overall: Every time I use PowerPoint, I find another useful tool. Although I consider myself au fait with the software, I could clearly have some pointers on it to understand its full potential.

Pros: If I have to write about positive aspects they are really uncountable, the most fantastic tool that consist of numerous editing tools in order to make presentation more and more colorful. It is the most reliable and preferable application for crating professional presentations.

PowerPoint is much highlighted product of Microsoft that keeps much value in our lives. Like this is the product we use and by the help of it we try to attract others towards our actions.

It is full featured tool and it also comes with unbelievable shortcut commands for making our work easier and faster. It is all about the best quality product.

Cons: I am fully satisfied with this outstanding software. I feel really difficult to find any cons. One of the thing that I consider not a major problem is that, sometimes when I prepare my presentation and try to save my work in different formats here the issue comes, while saving work in PDF file it breaks the file and gives an error. But after some attempts I receive the correct response. Well this is the issue I had but not a major issue. I do not go against this product because I have a strong connection with PowerPoint and I have to depend on it.

Overall: Overall it is absolutely right to say that power point is considered to be the backbone of my work, without it my work would have been rather difficult enough. I have been taking help out of it since when I was a student; I kept on using at all levels. For me PowerPoint has a big part behind my every success.

Pros: PowerPoint has been tested and tried as a proven presentation tool for decades now. The best thing about PowerPoint is the ability to customize slides in so different ways for so many different settings. You can embed videos into specific slides and have the video play in the program; you can place markers to note in what order each line of words or each photo pops up as you click the presenter button; you can make texts easily visibly by adding shadows and text art; you can make images rotate with clicks of buttons; the list is endless. I've used PowerPoint for presentations for work (both simple and complex presentations), for board meetings, for church worship slides, etc. It is also very simple to copy and paste slides from previous PowerPoint files into new ones. If you save the file into a flash drive and carry it around with you, it can easily be opened in a majority of computers wherever you travel. You cannot go wrong with PowerPoint.

Cons: The basic functions of PowerPoint are pretty simple to learn, but the more complex functions require a little bit of a learning curve. For example, embedding videos to play when you get to the slide and clicking on it took me a little longer to figure out.

In addition, because PowerPoint (Microsoft Office) often updates their software into new versions, sometimes older files do not carry over well into the newer versions. This has been a little annoying because it requires a little bit of time and fine tuning to correct the positioning of pictures and fonts in some files.

Overall: You really can't go wrong with PowerPoint and if you own a business, you should expect to have it on your computers. You'll either need it to present to your employees and colleagues, or other companies will send reps who will assume you have the program as well.

It is an excellent product. Its extensive features allow to do beautiful and elegant presentations.

Pros: I like everything of Microsoft Power Point. I believe, honestly, that it is one of the best products available to design presentations easily, quickly, optimally and elegantly. I think that the style of its interface favors users with little experience in the use of design software, so that anyone can build high quality presentations with this software and in a short time. Functionalities such as the use of predetermined designs help in the quickly preparation of presentations, and the advantage of being reconfigurable is ideal. Of course, the users must have a minimum of knowledge about the manipulation of others functionalities such as insertion of image, color combination, font style, font type, animations, slide transition, time intervals, incorporation of sound, etc. to be design the presentation correctly. All its features allow to build professionals presentations.

Cons: For me, it is complicated finding disadvantages to a product that it is excellent. Maybe I should mention that it is necessary a good machine (Personal Computer or Laptop) with good features, to make simple videos with Microsoft Power Point. Since rendering the slides is a bit slow and sometimes I have noticed that any properties of some slides are lost. Also, running the video on machines with few features is almost impossible. But, I think that maybe this happens with all type of software oriented to video manipulation. Another aspect that I would like to incorporate into the product is the ability to edit images inserted from within the application, to retouch them efficiently, without draw upon to other design software, as is done with graphics of Microsoft Excel, for example.

Overall: My students and I use this software extensively in the classroom. For me it is an excellent work tool.

Pros: Power point is one of the most versatile programs of Microsoft Office, since it allows to present in an organized and interactive way texts, tables, images, animations, sounds and videos in order to design, present and transmit an idea and / or project in of slides allowing the user to develop and express their knowledge, creativity and imagination. In addition, it presents a wide range of templates and designs that are installed in the application or can be obtained online, with all kinds of fonts and colors. In the same way, it presents a series of tools (controls, calls to hyperlinks, storyboard, integration with the data repository in the Microsoft Cloud, establish time in the slides, among others) that have been updated and improved with each version that allows a better interface with the user when making a presentation. Therefore, it is one of the programs most used by young people and adults to present their ideas and projects in the different areas.

Cons: Power point is only used for Windows and Mac OS operating systems. Regarding the design of the slides, if the user does not know how to express ideas in an organized and creative way, it can be an exhibition that bores the audience. Likewise, in many occasions they can be presentations that include distractors in the meeting since ideas are presented in a hierarchical way and the use of animated elements is abused.

Pros: PowerPoint is an industry giant and the default software for developing presentations and other projects. Like most Microsoft Office products, the majority of users only use a small fraction of the features available. PowerPoint can be an extremely robust presentation platform if operated by a competent designer who can string together animation features and can utilize internal hyperlinking to produce non-linear presentation or learning experiences.

Cons: It lacks a layers function and the ability to embed something like a slideshow within a slide. These seem like odd requests, but in many of the designs that I have produced, I find that as I layer animations, it becomes difficult to actually see what is going on on the screen at any moment with all the overlapping objects that might be entering and leaving the slide. One may get around this by making multiple slides, but that is also cumbersome in different ways. Also, I have found that on occasion, it would be great to be able to produce a mini-slide show within a slide. This would really open up the program to many other design possibilities.

Overall: I have a sticker on my name plate at work that states, "PowerPoint is my life." I really cannot live without it while developing learning content, and I don't see it falling from its place atop the presentation software podium anytime soon. One should still experiment with other presentation software such as Prezi, but it is difficult to fully part ways with this solid presentation platform.

Pros: Currently I work as Editorial Coordinator, and it is necessary for me to generate excellent written content, but also expository, since many of our sponsors seek the highest quality in the editorial of their artistic and musical themes.

Microsoft has designed this fabulous work tool that has allowed me to project in a pleasant and dynamic way, all the potentials that I have as a professional in the area of editorial projects, making my visual exhibitions works of art that have been valued and rewarded in new projects financed by different types of institutions.

Powerpoint has qualities of all kinds, expositive, analytical, customizable, aesthetic. All this is combined into wonderful tools for developing dynamic and static templates, elaboration of explanatory tables, insertion of images and videos to the slides, among many other options that make your research and exhibitions excellent works of high quality.

Cons: This software must be managed at its maximum capacity, that is, to make quality presentations, you have to handle the full spectrum of options offered by Powerpoint, but, the presentations tend to be very basic and gray, losing the essence of the idea that you want to transmit to the public.

Overall: A software that must belong in a mandatory way to your compendium of software used in your company, corporation, or business. The potentials that you get from Powerpoint will not be found in other software.

Pros: 1. The way it has introduced the presentation there is now no need of someone to give the presentation there is option of self running presentation that will slide automatically as you have made it.

2. I absolutely love the concept of Clipart images, if you ever need to add an image to your presentation you can pick a clipart image.

3. I can not resist myself using its Transition option for slides they have got beautiful effect like cut, fade, push , wipe, reveal etc.

4. Wide variety of available templates to choose from.

5. One can even set the time for slides like after what time next slide should show. Interesting isn't?

6. It's well collected sounds like Applause, Arrow, Bomb, Breeze, camera.

7. Its basic feature like spell check and Auto correct.

8. I can insert pictures, shapes, charts, WordArts, Animation, photos, videos and what not.

Cons: There is absolutely nothing to not like about PowerPoint but there are some cons of machine and power point is also using it so what happens is sometimes your cable can not work correctly to the port of other projector.

Sometime your presentation may become boring as it is Static content so you should be directing the presentation according to your client or customer.

Cost is always a cons.

Overall: Power Point solves my all presentation need.

It make the presentation alive by using different creative method as i like.

It is not that much costly.

Pros: PowerPoint is the application, I use frequently. My relation with Microsoft powerPoint started when I was in university. It has been playing a big role in my life, if I write about the functionality and features of PowerPoint they are really fantastic and developed in excellent way. After having a long term relation I have become an expert user of PowerPoint. I love all of the features of PowerPoint but I would like to share some most interesting things. The thing I want to talk about is the function of slide show that is really great and gives us many ways for showing our slides. The other interesting thing I will also add that it also allows us to record our slides. PowerPoint is full of advance features; So It always keeps me contented.

Cons: This application is fully well-developed, it hardly gives complain. I have been using PowerPoint since I use this for my study purposes then I started using for work. On every phase it gave me quality results and I had to face positivity. I have one suggestion here, It will be great If they add some more transitions for the attraction of the work because I love using transitions on my slides they makes presentation attractive.

Overall: PowerPoint is full of benefits; I have had really great experience with this product of Microsoft. In our company we use PowerPoint for presenting our work in a decent way. It has made our work easier. It is the platform we use for communication.

Pros: I have been using Power Point for several years and the first thing to say is that everybody should gibe it a try since it is the presentation software most easy to learn and to work with. Power Point has several and various options to choose with specially regarding templates and effects which gives my work presentations a very nice look and make them more didactive. Also, when adding text, images. graphics and videos it gives you the option to drag, copy and practically design every aspect of their looks, so you can give your presentation a very special and unique design. When writing your texts the software gives you infinite options regarding fonts and styles and it is very friendly for aligning, sizing, making titles, etc. Finally, another thing that I like about this software is that it gives you the option to design your own template, saving it for future uses, which will give all your company's presentations a consistent and special appearance.

Cons: Power Point is the most classic and popular software for making presentations and slides and one of the things I dislike about it is that I believe Microsoft could make better efforts for updating the software. Although it is easy to use and there are a lot of options, I consider that the pre-established templates and effects are a bit outdated, specially when there are other softwares available such as Prezi and Google Slides whose presentations are more modern and animated.

Overall: The benefits from Power Point are numerous but I can say that this software has helped me and my co-workers to make presentations that are very dynamic and entertaining, making it easier to give lectures and keeping the attention of the public. Given the infinite options regarding templates, styles and effects our presentations are always unique!

Pros: I've been a Microsoft Office user since the time I was a student in high school, and it's got a legacy to its credit of being the first standard in all sorts of software solutions provided to conceivable necessary common uses in a work environment, for many things to consider in the academics field, through research and presentation of findings and marketing of products and services to audiences of a sit-in capacity, here, in PowerPoint, most notably attended by a lecturer, instructor, or salesman. Throughout the years, PowerPoint has proven itself as the most notable and reliably well-wrought user interface and experience, of building upon legacy versions with commonly released new Office Suites, which suit veteran users well with classy new buttons and updated features that stick within well-known menus and options tables, making transitions from older versions to an updated release comfortable, quick, and seamless, throughout years. Thanks, Microsoft!

Cons: Conceivably, in some ambitious notion of producing a cutting edge presentation of outside of what Microsoft had envisioned as common and extensible user basis and purpose in doing presentations, it's conceivably within appropriate means, as they'd provided. That being said, it's a powerful platform for presentations that, as far as my experience and usage has gone, simply hasn't merited that I would find something improper or lacking in what's offered.

Overall: I've used many Microsoft products for mainly academic usage, earlier on in life, and I've also worked as a gig computer specialist on craigslist, for example, in having some quickness, agility, and insight of as much as being perhaps a bit more take on computer user digital media presentation prowess for a needful advertising outreach client, as it had been, a few times in my post-academic career.

Pros: There are so many ways to customize presentations created in Power Point, it almost seems limitless. It really is capable of handling a wide variety of skill levels. One of the best, most fun things I have used it for was to create a Power Point version of a Family Feud game for an office staff retreat. The ability to layer slides and incorporate video and audio can take your presenation from humdrum to a fully immersive experience.

Cons: As someone who comes from a video editing background, there are somethings that Power Point is just not capable of pulling off in the same fashion as a video production. I understand that there are some workarounds that can get you pretty close to the same effects that you have with video editing & effects programs, but the final product/presentation always feels just a little off when compared to an actual video. And, I do understand that Power Point is designed for computer functionality first and foremost. Additionally, and this is not necessarily a knock on Power Point, but like Excel, it is such an expansive piece of software that there really is a steep learning curve when it comes to unlocking the programs full potential.

Overall: At this point in time, I can't believe that there are too many people out there who don't have some experience with Power Point, even if it is just view and/or creating a simple slide show. I remember my first exposure to Power Point, using it for an Art History presentation in college. Now, like I said in a previous answer, I am using it to construct complex, multi-layered experiences. I have found that really your imagination is your only limit. While there have been rare times that I have hit a ceiling while using it, for the most part if there is anything that I am having difficulty trying to get to work, a quick search online can find pretty quick answers with ways of achieving whatever it is you are trying to pull off.

Pros: I remember when Powerpoint was introduced as a bundled office product. I admit I was a bit intimidated and went several years avoiding it at all cost. During my college years, many assignments became mandatory in Powerpoint and I was forced to finally snuggle up to it. I am glad I did. Powerpoint takes presentations to a whole new and exciting level. I literally get excited, no matter the assignment, when I create a presentation. To take an idea in my head, and create a project and then present it to a group and do it using Powerpoint is instant gratification. The tools within Powerpoint makes it easy to use and create even if you are a true beginner. It also allows you to elevate a presentation worthy of corporate America. Having many platforms (desktop, tablet, and mobile) it is easy to share a presentation without being in a brick and mortal. It also makes editing on the go simple.

Cons: Its hard to find fault with a software that I rely on daily and enjoy using daily. The only con I have is not with Powerpoint but in the Powerpoint viewer. If a member of my team or classmates do not have Powerpoint installed and do not wish to use it, they can use the viewer to at least see the presentation. However it is a viewer only and doesn't allow for in presentation editing or feedback.

Pros: The primary advantage of using Microsoft power point is the visual representation of the key points that you want to speak in the form of a presentation, having a graphical representation makes it easier to retain the information. In power point animation is possible, we can insert interesting quotes and other animated slides which makes a long presentation more interesting, we can insert video files in the presentation which helps in expressing the idea more visually and clearly, it is very easy to customize any slides as it is required to meet the requirements, it helps in presenting the material in a good manner.

Cons: for those the software is unfamiliar it takes time to learn the software completely, In power point presentation slides there are many options like inserting different shapes, number of colors and other items, so because of using too many things we can detract from the information that we want to present and the presentation become overwhelming. In a presentation important points and large amount of information which is to be discussed in detail are reduced to bullet points, sometimes having trite clip arts in the slides takes away the attention from serious subject matter.

Overall: as a whole Power point is a great software to use to present the subject matter visually and with practice one will be perfect in presenting the data more effectively.

If this is what you need, this is what you need.

Pros: Despite the fact that more content is probably pushed out through PowerPoint (PP) than any other presentation software in existence, PP still struggles to get respect precisely because it is built to be leveraged by everyone, and not just the design pros in your environment. I've used versions of PP in different environments on and off for twenty plus years. You know what? If I'm not trying to impress an audience with my ultra nouveau formatting and use of whitespace, PP is going to get my content out to the eyes of the people I need to see it with a fraction of the investment in time and frustration as other big-name, pro-type alternatives. PP is the gem of a solution that anyone can work with, but that the dedicated can really get creative with.

Cons: Unless you really want to sink some time into tweaking your presentation, PP presentations will always still look like PP presentations. It's hard to generate "wow factor" when you're working with PP. That said, in most cases, most users probably don't need to. If I had to single out an area for improvement I'd fix on presentation execution - still these years on there's that awkward phase at the beginning of every PP presentation when the presenter is clearly getting PP set up to drive their presentation. Machine learning might if applied usher in a new era for this app where PP acts as a co-presenter as much as a rote presenter of slides. Until then though, when you sit down to watch a PP presentation, you still get to enjoy the PP dance of getting it up and running, botching slide transitions etc. It's not so much the software's fault as the user's, but software should also be commended when it manages to make the user look better, which PP still isn't much for.
