### "brilliant presentation editor for anybody"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Really positive, the upgrades in tools and templates have been fantastic over the years, including some really slick animation slides and shadows.

Pros

It's still the simplest presentation creation platform to use. Keeping the same user interface whilst adding useful tools, templates and features has been a key reason it's still my go-to.

Cons

For the price point of the software it's really hard to find negatives about it, as the platform does many tasks incredibly well. One feature that could be improved in my opinion is the ease of removing background from images, with many sites now finder introvert ways on acheiving this Microsoft Powerpoint still lacks a quick and crisps removal of backgrounds.

### "Microsoft PowerPoint: A Simple and Powerful Presentation Tool"

June 6, 2026

5.0

It has been a very useful tool for me!! I have used it for school, work and business presentations!!

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft PowerPoint is that it makes creating presentations easy. The templates, the designs and visual features help to make information look organized and interesting. The video editing options are so neat and so is the social media content. You have 24/7 Customer support! I have not experienced bugs and issues. It is truly value for your money!

Cons

I have used Microsoft PowerPoint for 10 years and not once have I run into an issue. I have yet to see any cons with this software.

### "The former leader in presentations"

June 3, 2026

2.0

Powerpoint is a strong tool, but it lags behind modern presentation design software and the user experience reflects that. You can still reach a great result, but it takes more time and effort.

Pros

Powerpoint has so many tools to put together customized and unique presentation decks. It has a longstanding legacy and powerpoint files are compatible across almost all major file presentation platforms.

Cons

PowerPoint shows its age in the way it guides you through the design process. Tools are less intuitive than competitor platforms and it can lead to less consistent and precise designs. Overall the tools need a simplification and overhaul to catch up.

### "Great Microsoft PowerPoint"

April 9, 2026

5.0

Overall I would say that Microsoft PowerPoint is amazing and I have had a great experience using it over the past few years!

Pros

I like that you can create your own power points with Microsoft PowerPoint and that it is easy to use. You can use templates that are already incorporated in it, or make your own. Great customer support and value for money, no bugs or issues and it is great for video editing and document management!

Cons

The only thing that I can say that I dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint is that sometimes I have issues with incorporating my own video or voice over into my power points, which is something that I have needed to do for an assignment for a class.

Switched from

[Google Slides](https://www.capterra.com/p/178686/Google-Slides/)

I made the switch because Microsoft PowerPoint has great template choices available to use as well as the video and voiceover options, which I think is awesome!

### "Microsoft PowerPoint: Business Perspective"

June 15, 2026

5.0

PowerPoint is a user-friendly, versatile tool for creating professional presentations and has customization, templates, and multimedia options. It ensures easy sharing and brand consistency. However, mastering advanced features is challenging, compatibility issues can occur, and technical problems may occur during presentations if files are not carefully prepared.

Pros

PowerPoint is a great tool when trying to provide a visual during presentations. Overall, PowerPoint is easy to use and even beginners can create professional looking slides. The ability to customize each document and each individual slide to the suit the required content is endless and allows for business branding and consistency. For beginners, templates are helpful and ensure a slideshow remains professional and clean with minimal training. PowerPoint is the industry standard program therefore files are easy to share with clients and team members. Images, videos, graphs and charts can be easily incorporated with PowerPoint which ensures outside documents and sources can be easily shared during a presentation.

Cons

PowerPoint is the industry standard which as a result can sometimes overused presentation styles. To ensure a PowerPoint stands out, often times advanced features are required; advanced features have quite a learning curve. In addition, advanced users often have to consider compatibility settings and issues, particularly when embedding videos or social media content. The largest downside to PowerPoint is the potential for technical issues during presentations, especially if not tested beforehand.

Good experience creating a variety of presentations, be they simple or complex and design-intensive, with functionality being consistent throughout product.

Pros

Versatility and number of options for use within app have steadily grown over time, making it even better for creating quality presentations.

Cons

The insertion of outside content, be it audio or video or some other type, is often still a challenge and not nearly as seamless as it should be at this point.

### "Microsoft Power Point: The Best in Presentation Software"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, I am quite impressed with MS PowerPoint. Using it to create presentations for clients or complex corporate structure charts has made look like a dependable professional and that's what really matters when it comes to what makes the cut in my tech stack.

Pros

MS PowerPoint helps me create clean, concise and simple projects/presentations for both clients I work with and other professionals. It's easy to use, has very little to no bugs or issues, and can incorporate multi-media aspects (e.g. videos) with ease.

Cons

There aren't many cons that come to mind, but I have had some issues with some specialized charts not formatting properly, which did some create issues for me when I was preparing important charts for a client.

### "If you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!"

May 27, 2025

5.0

Overall fantastic tool with a lot of great options, but as it is Microsoft, it is not the most intuitive, and it is a shame, as some options are great (for example, with the movements) but not straightforward or easy to find. But if you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!

Pros

The number of options available is amazing, and the fact that most people have it is also a great thing. But it has a lot of functionality and is almost unappreciated. It is easy to use and compatible with a lot of screens, hardly ever causing problems.

Cons

Some great options are not that easy to find, and it is a shame. It is a bit old-fashioned and could be more intuitive. Also, I had some problems with fonts a few times (foreign languages).

### "Reliable and Easy-to-Use Presentation Tool"

November 20, 2025

5.0

PowerPoint continues to be one of the best tools for presentations. It’s reliable, flexible, and powerful enough for anything from quick meeting updates to full professional decks. Whether working alone or collaborating with a team, the workflow is smooth and intuitive. Despite a few small quirks, it remains my go-to platform for creating polished and engaging presentations.

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint is incredibly versatile and easy to use for creating professional presentations. I really like how many templates, design ideas, and layout options it offers it makes building slides fast and visually appealing. The integration with Microsoft 365 apps is seamless, and features like animations, transitions, and embedded media help bring presentations to life. Collaboration is also smooth, especially when multiple people need to edit or review slides.

Cons

Some advanced design features can feel hidden or take time to learn. Large presentations with a lot of media can slow down or lag, especially when switching between slides. Cloud syncing works well most of the time, but occasionally changes take a moment to appear.

Overall positive and something I use daily. Little to no other alternatives that offer the same capabilities as powerpoint.

Pros

I enjoy the capabilities of using images and the suite of tools of powerpoint to deliver concise slide decks. Addition of cloud storage helps with cross team functional.

Cons

I believe there can be user tools for highlighting images/sections and for hyperlinking items in the slides.

### "A classic program with useful updates that plays well with others"

January 26, 2026

5.0

I find it to be an easy to use and versatile program. I love that when you save presentation with hyperlinks in Adobe, the hyperlinks still work, I find that to be helpful for others to navigate lengthy presentations.

Pros

I learned how to use this program when is was first released many years ago. I appreciate that it has remained user friendly, while incorporating new features. One of my favorite features is the ability to use closed captioning and have the classroom conversations appear on the screen. I also enjoy the templates and suggested design formatting. I feel the value for money is worthwhile when you consider all of the other Microsoft suite programs incorporated with Power Point.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of a con at the moment. It is great program, that is helpful and works well with other programs.

### "The Easiest Presentation You've Created"

July 5, 2025

5.0

The skills I've acquired with Microsoft PowerPoint have proved to be useful in my life. I've been using PowerPoint since I was in middle school and it has taught me that a lot of good work IS about presentation.

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint has become integral to my every-day work life and a tool for tasks I never expected to use it for. It's easy to use and can also be quite fun when you've got an eye for creativity.

Cons

I think the only thing I dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint is that the web version doesn't have some of the same features as the desktop app.

### "Go-To Software with a Few Usability Hurdles"

December 2, 2025

5.0

Overall I think Microsoft PowerPoint is a good PowerPoint presentation design system that offers a lot of flexibility and versatility while staying budget friendly making it a good value for your money.

Pros

I appreciate Microsoft PowerPoint for its ease of use, flexibility, and wide range of design tools. Its intuitive interface makes it simple to create polished presentations quickly, while features like templates, animations, video editing, and seamless multimedia integration help users bring ideas to life. PowerPoint also stands out for its compatibility across devices and its smooth collaboration features within Microsoft 365 such as Microsoft spreadsheet, making it a dependable choice for both professional and educational settings.

Cons

I find Microsoft PowerPoint frustrating due to its occasional glitches, steep learning curve for advanced features, and the time it can take to create polished slides. Sometimes I feel that the design templates can look repetitive or outdated without extra customization. Collaboration can also be clunky at times, especially when multiple users are editing a presentation simultaneously.

Microsoft power point has been awesome to work with. I'd recommend it to anyone. Easy to add pictures, tables, transitions, etc.

Pros

I think power point is totally worth the money. It is easy to use, the templates are great. I've never had any issues.

Cons

I don't know if there are any cons. I've been pleasantly pleased with power point! Never had any issues. I guess maybe could add a training on some 'hidden gems'!

### "Everybody knows it, everybody uses it, but maybe it's time for a replacement..."

July 21, 2025

3.0

I have been using PowerPoint for years, and in those years it has barely changed. This makes it feel familiar, but it feels very dated and I prefer using things like Canva now for more dynamic, fresh-feeling presentations.

Pros

It's not hard to use, and feels familiar as it behaves similarly to the rest of the Office package. It is compatible with Windows machines so most people can very easily access slides. I like being able to write notes at the bottom. I also like the timer feature when I am presenting.

Cons

The program feels dated now, especially after using things like Canva to create slides. It feels cumbersome and harder to use than drag and drop, what you see is what you get type presentation software.

### "\*\*"Microsoft PowerPoint: A Classic Presentation Tool with Endless Possibilities"\*\*"

May 5, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is that it’s a \*\*reliable and versatile tool\*\* for creating presentations, whether for business, education, or personal use. It strikes a good balance between \*\*ease of use and depth of functionality\*\*—most users can create something decent quickly, while power users can go much further with design tools, animations, and data integration. However, to get the best results, users often need to \*\*go beyond the defaults\*\*, because basic templates and overused effects can lead to bland or ineffective presentations if not used thoughtfully. Collaboration tools have improved, especially with Microsoft 365, but \*\*real-time co-authoring\*\* can still lag behind competitors like Google Slides in some scenarios.

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft PowerPoint is its \*\*balance of simplicity and flexibility\*\*. It’s easy for beginners to start creating presentations quickly, but it also has powerful features—like \*\*Slide Master\*\*, \*\*animations\*\*, \*\*custom templates\*\*, and \*\*integration with multimedia\*\*—that let more advanced users build highly polished, dynamic slides. Its integration with other Microsoft 365 tools (like Excel and Word) also makes it a solid choice for professionals needing to present data or collaborate across teams.

Cons

What I like least about Microsoft PowerPoint is that it can encourage \*\*style over substance\*\*—people sometimes rely too much on flashy animations or overloaded slides instead of focusing on clear, effective communication. Also, while it's powerful, some advanced formatting or layout tweaks can feel \*\*clunky or unintuitive\*\*, especially when trying to align objects precisely or manage slide consistency without using Slide Master effectively.

### "Microsoft PowerPoint is a great application"

April 16, 2025

4.0

My experience in general for the application was good as I used to use it a lot in my work and study matters and I always turned it on only on the computer and it showed a great performance

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint is a wonderful application, and one of the things I liked most about it is how to teach through it, as it provides the content as if it were scenes instead of boring writing, and this pushes the student or student to be attracted to the content and supplement it.

Cons

The thing I didn't like the most about it was the difficulty of using it on the mobile phone and because of that I was only using it on the computer and this is what delayed after my work sometimes.

### "Great application for making professional looking presentations "

May 17, 2025

5.0

Overall, very satisfied with Microsoft Power Point. It's the default software to make presentations for pretty much everyone, and it's easy to use. I've been using it for 20 years now, and it's far better than free products from Google or Libre.

Pros

It's super easy to create professional looking presentations. Plus, Microsoft Power Point has basic chart and table creation capabilities as well. So Power Point works for all kinds of presentations from sales pitches to business review decks.

Cons

Power Point's capabilities for creating data charts is very basic and copt-pasting tables from MS Excel often leads to issues in format and font size. Also, though its graphics capabilities are great, but it's not as great as Canva.
