Pros Powerpoint is one of those tools that is easy to use from the get go. The interface is very similar to word so if you've used other Microsoft products this will be easy to get into. Really with powerpoint you can get templates and most things online and the support is virtually unlimited. Truly this software is invaluable for any organization especially if you have an instructional designer who is very creative. For the most part you can create courses with very easily with this assuming you learn how. Cons The only problem I have is that when this gets a new release it sometimes takes away some features that were great. For instance you can no longer create dynamic indexes unless you get one from online but you then face having a virus in your system. Review Source Joel B. The slides and options available are professional with plenty of room for customisation and editing. This is the software I probably use the most. Pros PowerPoint is one of the very first Microsoft products I ever started using and its only gotten better and better with time. The audio, video and screen recording options make video creation incredibly easy and intuitive. Camtasia 'plugs in' easily, allowing for immediate editing options. I often use the 'animation' options to make my presentations more interactive and interesting. The slide transitions ensure that the presentation processes 3 smoothly and style. The capabilities are unmatched there are few limitations to what you can do. We often use it unconventionally for motion graphics and it never lets us down. Cons The biggest annoyance that we seem to have is its limited functionality on mac. Many of the features that we use don't cross over which can be disruptive out of the office. It helped me a lot and suprised me when I found how many things that can be done with this software, especially the creation of little cartoons. It helped me a lot on several projects. I also like the fact that there are more and more templates for designing presentations and presentations (I used it a lot during my studies). Pros PowerPoint is a simple tool that has largely met my expectations for the presentation of different works during my studies and during my personal work.  It is dominant software, which means people will very rarely have any issues with any presentation you created in PowerPoint.  I highly recommend this software for making presentation projects, reports, creating online slideshows, original graphics or for videos on the internet. Cons Like all Microsoft products PowerPoint has it's eccentricity, I find it unfortunate that not all keyboard shortcuts are listed.  The inability to import gif files easily and efficiently is also a flaw. It is not good for creating original art or illustrations,if you want original graphics, you should be creating them in some app like photoshops and then importing them to PowerPoint,it can also lead to nonchalance when it comes to making presentations.  Another negative point is its price.  The latter is quite high if we compare it to its direct competitor Google Slide which is 100% free.  I would have preferred to buy Microsoft products separately instead of an expensive package Review Source FD Felice D. Pros I love the animations and all of the great tools in powerpoint.It makes my work look very presentable which is great. Cons I don't really like the image editing because it is too much work.Microsoft could improve it by using auto align. I especially like the new options to assist with each slide. Now, Powerpoint can adjust the content of each slide for you and also provides several themes to choose from on each slide. Cons I do wish there was a screen capture option in Powerpoint to prevent me from swapping between programs in order to capture information that I want to include in slides. Non-tech savvy people can usually figure out enough of the program to make it work (and then send it to other team members to refine). Cons I feel like it's very dated, but alas, it's the standard and it's not going anywhere. Sometimes exporting presentations can be confusing to people.
