### "Great Microsoft PowerPoint"

April 9, 2026

5.0

Overall I would say that Microsoft PowerPoint is amazing and I have had a great experience using it over the past few years!

Pros

I like that you can create your own power points with Microsoft PowerPoint and that it is easy to use. You can use templates that are already incorporated in it, or make your own. Great customer support and value for money, no bugs or issues and it is great for video editing and document management!

Cons

The only thing that I can say that I dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint is that sometimes I have issues with incorporating my own video or voice over into my power points, which is something that I have needed to do for an assignment for a class.

Switched from

I made the switch because Microsoft PowerPoint has great template choices available to use as well as the video and voiceover options, which I think is awesome!

### "Great Option"

November 5, 2025

4.0

Overall, it's a pretty good product. It can do many things but it doesn't have the most "aesthetic" designs or options, so if that's what you're looking for, then I would suggest a different option. While it can feel a bit limited for advanced design work, its accessibility and integration with other Microsoft tools does make it reliable.

Pros

I enjoy the smart designs. They are very helpful when I'm trying to just get the information in and it will do the rest to make it look nice.

Cons

PowerPoint can be a bit difficult to navigate, so it's not very user-friendly. If you have previous experience with PowerPoint, it is easier, but sometimes even I have difficulty. Another area is graphics and stuff like that. They do not have a very wide selection so you may need to go elsewhere to get what you want and try to put it in.

### "Microsoft PowerPoint Overview"

September 2, 2025

5.0

My overall experience is that it was reliable, I enjoy the easy option to review and editing slides so you can adjust the flow of the presentation. I had a great experience and my presentation was perfect.

Pros

What Inlike most about this software is that is is user friendly which allows you to create creative and fantastic visuals for presentations. I enjoy this tool because it allows all of my presentations to be organized. Especially enjoy how you can customize the slides by adjusting layouts, fonts, colors and backgrounds. I enjoy the special effects that you can add in each slides if you desire it makes the presentation more fun.

Cons

What I like least is that it can be too much information on the slides which can be overwhelming and take away from the main ideas of the presentation. Performance issues can pose a problem I recognized that it took a while for my presentation to created you always need a really powerful computer. The work was done finally.

### "Versatility and a wide range of tools"

July 14, 2025

5.0

I use PowerPoint for various purposes, such as presentations, project boards, educational materials, flowcharts, and even content for social media, often replacing other, more specialized software due to the greater creative freedom it offers. Recent updates have introduced features that bring it closer to image and video editing programs.

Pros

What I like most about PowerPoint is its ease of use and the fact that it's part of the Microsoft Office suite. Even those without design experience can create presentations using basic or advanced tools with a clear, organized, and functional aesthetic.

Cons

The lack of precision in measurements and scale. Although it is not a technical drawing software, using PowerPoint to support architectural project presentations is limited by the difficulty in maintaining alignment and consistent scale across slides.

### "Powerful but Slow, with a Steep Learning Curve"

November 5, 2025

3.0

My experience with PowerPoint started off rocky; I was annoyed by how complex and unintuitive it felt compared to Google Slides. Over time, it grew on me and I’ve become more comfortable with it, but I still find myself wishing it were lighter, faster, and more user-friendly. It’s a robust tool, but the learning curve and performance issues can be discouraging.

Pros

After getting used to it, I appreciate the wide range of design tools and customization options PowerPoint offers. Once you become familiar with the interface, it can be quite powerful for creating polished, professional presentations.

Cons

Coming from Google Slides, I found PowerPoint much less intuitive. Many tools were hard to locate, and I had to watch several tutorials just to perform basic tasks. When files get heavy, the program can slow down significantly, making it frustrating to work with. I also wish there were simpler, more precise tools to help center and align elements on a slide.

### "Powerpoint assists with crossteam visualization"

December 8, 2025

5.0

Overall positive and something I use daily. Little to no other alternatives that offer the same capabilities as powerpoint.

Pros

I enjoy the capabilities of using images and the suite of tools of powerpoint to deliver concise slide decks. Addition of cloud storage helps with cross team functional.

Cons

I believe there can be user tools for highlighting images/sections and for hyperlinking items in the slides.

### "PowerPoint is the best presentation software. "

July 3, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with using it in both academic and professional settings has been favorable. I prefer it over Keynote, as it offers a wide range of options for professional presentations. The newer AI enhancements are great as well, they enable a user to see multiple options for their slide in design and artwork.

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint is the premier presentation software on the market. I used to use Apple's Keynote, but after switching to PowerPoint, I realized how much easier it is to use, with better options, and easier to share with others. It's intuitive and works best with university and workplace requirements.

Cons

There aren't many cons to it other than your own limitations in knowledge of the software. There may be times when a user is frustrated with not knowing how to accomplish a specific task on it, but this is usually resolved through researching where the tool is within the program to achieve that task.

### "A Great Microsoft Product that is Beautiful out of the Box"

July 8, 2025

5.0

This is an excellent product. I've used other presentation software, including Google Present, but Powerpoint does the best, by far. Easy to use, easy to teach how to use, easy to operate. Great product.

Pros

This product appeals to me because of the versatility. I have used it for worship slides, to lectures, to job presentations, even to teach how to build a nice-looking online classroom. It is easy to use and yet can do so much.

Cons

Sometimes, Microsoft deletes things that I find easier than their replacement. For instance, some of their layouts have changed over time. I knew in the past where to put pictures and where to put text because of the layout option. They've changed that to be two text boxes. Minor issue, because you can still use one or both boxes for pictures or text. I just like the way it worked before.

Switched from

[WordPerfect Office](https://www.capterra.com/p/160719/WordPerfect-Office/)

The availability of Powerpoint, the loss of Presentations from the WordPerfect Office Suite, and my own institution becoming exclusively Microsoft, all contributed to the switch.

### "The Easiest Presentation You've Created"

July 5, 2025

5.0

The skills I've acquired with Microsoft PowerPoint have proved to be useful in my life. I've been using PowerPoint since I was in middle school and it has taught me that a lot of good work IS about presentation.

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint has become integral to my every-day work life and a tool for tasks I never expected to use it for. It's easy to use and can also be quite fun when you've got an eye for creativity.

Cons

I think the only thing I dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint is that the web version doesn't have some of the same features as the desktop app.

Overall, I’ve had a lot of success navigating both creating slides and presenting them, as well as editing someone else’s slides.

Pros

I love to use Microsoft PowerPoint for all my presentations. I’ve used this product for many years and it’s pretty universal for everyone.

Cons

There are no bad aspects of Microsoft PowerPoint. It is very user friendly and easy to add/delete sides, format slides, change fonts and add transitions.

### "Highly Recommend for photo uploads!"

December 19, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Microsoft Power Point has been excellent. In my line of work I upload photos. Sometimes files have 80 photos. Microsoft PowerPoint makes it super quick and easy.

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint is so very easy to use. Saves so much time and the photo sheet are very professional. Looks like we spent hours putting together

Cons

What I like least about Microsoft PowerPoint is that the option to save to Cloud always pops up. We prefer to save to our document folder for easy referencing.

### "If you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!"

May 27, 2025

5.0

Overall fantastic tool with a lot of great options, but as it is Microsoft, it is not the most intuitive, and it is a shame, as some options are great (for example, with the movements) but not straightforward or easy to find. But if you know how, you can do a lot with this gem!

Pros

The number of options available is amazing, and the fact that most people have it is also a great thing. But it has a lot of functionality and is almost unappreciated. It is easy to use and compatible with a lot of screens, hardly ever causing problems.

Cons

Some great options are not that easy to find, and it is a shame. It is a bit old-fashioned and could be more intuitive. Also, I had some problems with fonts a few times (foreign languages).

### "Go-To Software with a Few Usability Hurdles"

December 2, 2025

5.0

Overall I think Microsoft PowerPoint is a good PowerPoint presentation design system that offers a lot of flexibility and versatility while staying budget friendly making it a good value for your money.

Pros

I appreciate Microsoft PowerPoint for its ease of use, flexibility, and wide range of design tools. Its intuitive interface makes it simple to create polished presentations quickly, while features like templates, animations, video editing, and seamless multimedia integration help users bring ideas to life. PowerPoint also stands out for its compatibility across devices and its smooth collaboration features within Microsoft 365 such as Microsoft spreadsheet, making it a dependable choice for both professional and educational settings.

Cons

I find Microsoft PowerPoint frustrating due to its occasional glitches, steep learning curve for advanced features, and the time it can take to create polished slides. Sometimes I feel that the design templates can look repetitive or outdated without extra customization. Collaboration can also be clunky at times, especially when multiple users are editing a presentation simultaneously.

### "The gold standard of all presentation designers from a creation to disemmination standpoint"

January 29, 2026

5.0

Amazing experience overall! This is my go-to for building any type of presentation since it is easy, streamlined, reliable, and offers the smart design element suggestions which can make a presentation that looks aesthetically pleasing yet professional quickly compared to other presentation generating platforms.

Pros

My two favourite features of PowerPoint are how easy it is to use and its template and design recommendations that make creating visually appealing presentations effortless. I also really like that you can add different elements to your design and you get smart recommendations on how you can incorporate them. The option to add elements of how text/images enter on the screen also help to make it more interactive. It is also easy to pull up on any computer and set into presentation mode.

Cons

No aspects that are disliked at present time as creation and presenting are both seamless experiences. The only area of improvement could be in the smart design feature where sometimes it prompts a bunch of ideas but other times it doesn't seem to generate ideas.

Pros

### "Effective and User-Friendly Presentation Tool"

August 23, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Microsoft PowerPoint has been positive. It is a powerful tool that helps me create clear and visually appealing presentations. The features for adding text, images, charts, and animations make it easy to share ideas effectively.

Pros

I like Microsoft PowerPoint because it is easy to use. It helps me present my ideas clearly with slides. I enjoy adding pictures, charts, and designs. It makes my presentations more interesting and engaging. Microsoft PowerPoint offers good value as it provides many useful features for creating presentations. PowerPoint has many ready-made templates that help create professional-looking slides quickly. It allows basic video editing like trimming clips, but it’s not as advanced as specialized video software. Support is available through Microsoft’s help center, but sometimes finding quick answers can be hard.

Cons

Sometimes PowerPoint files can be too large to share easily. It can be hard to keep the audience’s attention. Animations and transitions sometimes do not work smoothly. Working with many images may slow down the program.

### "Microsoft PowerPoint is a great application"

April 16, 2025

4.0

My experience in general for the application was good as I used to use it a lot in my work and study matters and I always turned it on only on the computer and it showed a great performance

Pros

Microsoft PowerPoint is a wonderful application, and one of the things I liked most about it is how to teach through it, as it provides the content as if it were scenes instead of boring writing, and this pushes the student or student to be attracted to the content and supplement it.

Cons

The thing I didn't like the most about it was the difficulty of using it on the mobile phone and because of that I was only using it on the computer and this is what delayed after my work sometimes.

### "Powerpoint, great tool for users who are Skilled at Presentation Delivery"

November 7, 2025

3.0

Powerpoint is a great tool when used effectively, definitely requires a skillset that needs to be taught.

Pros

Simple yet effective when you have the creativity to ensure you don't overwhelm the audience. The definitely of information can be fast and to the point when condensed for the audience. Powerpoint is not meant to wildly detailed hour upon hour presentations.

Cons

Microsoft needs a quick AI to teach users how to flow through a presentation and how to design a slide properly for the audience. Also, a giant Red X on slides that look terrible!

### "A Reliable and Essential Tool for Scientific Presentations"

July 11, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been excellent. PowerPoint is an essential tool in my academic life. It supports scientific storytelling, enhances my visual communication skills, and has helped me deliver successful presentations at multiple research seminars and international conferences.

Pros

As a PhD student, I regularly use PowerPoint to prepare research presentations, group meeting slides, and conference posters. I truly appreciate its intuitive interface and wide range of design templates. The ability to integrate charts, chemical structures, and animations helps me communicate complex scientific ideas more clearly.

Cons

### "PowerPoint - Old Faith Is Still Around"

March 21, 2025

4.0

I was once Microsoft Certified on all products including PowerPoint. The overall shell hasn't changed in the last 15-20 years. It is a handy 'go to' in a pinch. But I'm learning from younger professionals how they can jump into Google or other software and make some really exciting presentations in half the steps and time.

Pros

PowerPoint continues to be a main staple for a quick pinch presentation to a small to medium sized group. I think it's bound to stick around. Microsoft is looking at the competitors and seeing more options for presentations. I think PP will always be the starter for any good office setting.

Cons

It's gotten really kind of aged hasn't it? I mean they are repackaging old features and enhancing them to stay relevant. But realistically one could easily pull off a presentation on Google and easily share and collaberate.

### "MS Powerpoint is fexible, creative, and easy to use"

July 18, 2025

5.0

Overall, I enjoy MS Powerpoint because it offers a lot of tools and functionality to present. Very customizable with the transitions and animations, feels as though you're only limited by your creativity. Aside from the linear presentation format, ppt helps to get points across and supports presenting very well.

Pros

Powerpoint offers a variety of ways to make a presentation in terms of customizations with transitions, fonts, animations, embedding contents, live collaboration (only if saved to OneDrive or SharePoint). You can also download many different templates made by others online.

Cons

One disadvantage of powerpoint is that it provides a mainly linear way of presenting (slide by slide format). If there were options to make an 'interactive dashboard' to present it might make presenting a little more efficient and make it easier to expand on topics/info.
