Pros PowerPoint’s still also the place I go when drafting up presentations particularly when I’m outlining our docu-series ideas on a pitch doc or when I’m summarizing what themes people are really responding to in audience-impact reports. And, the design tools have gotten better with fresh templates and integrations. Cons Even the transitions and animations can feel a little retro, if you don’t tailor them. Now, professionally its integration in the 365 suite allows me to collaborate with my team on presentations in a work from home environment seamlessly. Cons Some of my team on low spec systems report that having too many presentations open in their browser can be intensive on their CPU, however many modern "live collaboration" programs also face this issue. I like all the different templates in PowerPoint and how user friendly it is to make slides from scratch. We use PowerPoint a lot for trainings and it is very helpful in creating these types of presentations. Cons I often have issues with copying and pasting things into Powerpoint. There are themes we can choose, transitions, font types, images that can be pasted, etc. I also like how I can organize my work any way I want. Cons I don't like how at times, Microsoft PowerPoint lags between the slide transitions since there is too much information written, or the pictures pasted are too big, etc. However, I try to make my slides pretty simple to prevent this, so it is not an issue. Cons Some of the features are a little difficult to navigate, like embedding video in a presentation or inserting transitions between slides.
