Welcome Station is an easy-to-use self-check system which frees up service advisors and enables customers to quickly and electronically notify shop staff of their arrival, update their contact and vehicle information, select the vehicle and which services they would like to have performed and whether they are dropping off, or will be waiting. Comments: After a year using the Bolt On Technology Mobile Station and Pro pack Bundle I ordered the welcome station feature. As a shop owner I have always heard that we need to work the system and yes this is where I have been spending most of the effort in my shop. With the installation of the Welcome Station (Kiosk) I have been able to take my entire manual shop flow system into new high technology-high efficiency times. No more tech racks, no more hand writing the VIN numbers and/or license plate numbers. In our shop the customer comes in and by inputting their phone number, their information is populated for them to check and/or update. The next step is for them to choose their vehicle when they have more than one and then they choose with a click the services they want on their vehicle. They even have a space to add any additional comments. Many of the Welcome Station features I am ale to customize myself which is one of the great benefits.

When the customer finishes with the order, they sign and the signature stays in the system for that transaction. When invoicing their signature is printed in the invoice. I have been working with the Station since January of this year and so far I have had no inconveniences. The shop flow systems works very smooth, my service adviser has more time for the customers and the customers are happier.

Pros: Customers love to see us being up to date with technology, they love the ability to text and check in via tablet

Cons: The only thing that I dont like about this is is in some cases it cuts out customer interaction, but not always

Comments: The Welcome Station kiosk is a great way for customer's to check in and let you know what they want to have done to their vehicle. They put their information in and it automatically syncs with our computers running Mitchell Manager. If you use the Mobile Manager app for Android, its even easier to get started as all of the customer's information is in the palm of your hand. This makes inputing vehicle information and getting to the job much faster than previous methods. The app works well most of the time. It does have its bugs every now and then like every other product but the fantastic team behind the scenes are quick to fix them and answer any concerns that you may have. We highly recommend trying this product.
