Cons I would prefer liveplan to have prototype examples of different industry business plans, build in to the development area of the app. It will make it even more quicker and worthwhile to develop a business plan. Pros I absolutely love the easy navigation of the platform itself. Business plans are really not easy to write. I've taken a few workshops to help me, but this just brings it all together. Live Plan guides you through the process step by step offering outstanding AI assistance that takes your plan to a whole other level. I have attempted and gotten pretty far with the first drafts of my plan, but Live Plan has allowed me to almost finish in a few weeks. Cons There was nothing I didn't like and even appreciate from Live Plan. Some other platforms are not as straightforward and easy to figure out. Live Plan asks you questions, and you answer them and before you know it, you've gotten yourself a pretty awesome document. The ability to link my Quickbooks account to my LivePlan account provides reality checks. That allows opportunities to update the Plan on an ongoing basis. Great program. Pros I have used LivePlan for multiple companies. I find it incredibly supportive and easy to navigate. Cons There is nothing that I don't like. LivePlan is an easy program for anyone to use. If you haven't created a financial forecast in the past, it allows you an easy path to follow. As you get better, it gets easier. They make money off our forgetfulness. Never used it after the trial. My card was being charged for 10 months, without a SINGLE MAIL WARNING ME that I am about to be charged 40$/month. Nor a confirmation email that I just paid 40$. I ended up paying them $400 and I didn't even use it once. Terrible support. Scam. They make money out of people's forgetfulness. Pros Absolutely Nothing. Didn't use it. Features were not suitable Cons Support. They scammed me for payments they never warned me about. November 19, 2024 4.0 I found that I had to re-learn some aspects of the platform if I left off using LivePlan for a while. This happens during the early stages of planning, as founders have to focus on so many different elements of their startups. Also, coming from a non tech background, my leaning curve has been very steep, if not vertical. At times, spending significant portions of my day familiarising myself with the various platforms that are out there (that others supporting and working with me want and do use) was frustrating, but unavoidable I guess. Pros I love the way LivePlan has everything covered. Business planning, forecasting etc. It’s so time saving to be able to manipulate figures knowing that the long term effect on your plan is going to be accommodated. Cons Nothing. February 14, 2025 1.0 My account was set up with a typo in the email address and no confirmation or verification was required. The customer service representatives have ignored multiple requests to cancel my account and instead claim the issue is being dealt with by another department, that they do not give me any contact details or reference for. I only used the software for about half an hour and have not been able to access my account t since. They continue to draw payments from my card despite my appeals. I am disgusted by the lack of service I have received from their support team. Daylight robbery is the term that comes to mind Pros It was easy to find and use initially - but with major security flaws Cons It's basically a scam and they have taken money from my bank and refuse to cancel my account despite multiple requests. Pros Easy to use, good tools, exceptional forecast Cons When I make a copy of a Business planner to be used as a reference in building another one, the counter for the total number of images I have placed is not reset, thus creating problems for placing new images as the limit is reached very quickly. It is not possible to use a copy of a forecast from one plan and copy it to another or to use the outline structure of one plan in another empty plan.
