Collaboration Manager Government Administration Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Kahootz review" June 7, 2021 4.0 I think that the Kahootz Support staff are fantastic and have always had my query answered quickly whenever I have contacted them. The functionality that we have is basic but allows us to achieve everything that we need to and we have had comments saying that the technology is great for team collaboration and updates. However, in order to keep our membership engagement high, there are elements that could be improved upon such as reporting, functionality and emails. Pros I like that the software is easy to use and navigate through. However, I had to teach myself a lot of the functionality to be able to get to this stage. I think it is clear and easy to understand and like the features such as customisable dashboards, discussion forums and events Cons I think that the reporting system is difficult to use and understand, I had to contact the Support team several times to get my reports to a stage where I could replicate the template and create another version. Also I think it needs to be integrated with Microsoft Outlook in terms of the events calendar as the site is currently something members have to log into to use. Having the email notifications come from a name rather than Kahootz would help us with engagement and personalisation. Cons Cost. I think it's kind of expensive compared to other platforms. June 7, 2021 5.0 Extremly postive, we have used the software to support and develop every element of our business. Pros Kahootz is a feature rich browser based collaboration tool that is a key enabler in allowing TD-Info, a membership organisation, to run projects and focus groups to the benefit of all plus it is our business administration tool. It is used in all aspects of our business and it is a business critical application - so the availability guarantees that underpin the Kahootz service vastly improved our resilience. It is also important that that it is UK owned and hosted. It is very intuitive to use and 99% of our users have received no formal training, but very capable of exploiting its many features. Cons The software is continually evolving and there have been a number of major updates that TD-Info have exploited to support its business, 2 examples spring to mind, the linked database functionality and the dashboard. Functionality requiring further development is database reporting, database views, and automated data exploitation using triggers. Ability to manage documents and calendars for meetings. Pros We use Kahootz in my organisation as a Extranet product to manage information and communication between staff and our collaborators including board of Trustees. There are many useful functions including searchable data tables, twitter feeds, calendars, tasks, discussions and most importantly, document management. We pay to have Kahootz branded under our own name but that is not a necessity. The account management has been superior. Cons Software has some patches including the document preview area, from my experience, never loads on the first try. The database feature does not allow for archiving. Also we have been a long term customer but we are also a small organisation. Kahootz is pushing an Enterprise business model now based on thousands of active users rather than tens or hundreds of users, this is not compatible with clients such as ourselves. Pros I love how intuitive it is for people that are not familiarized with technology or this type of software, how it keeps all the information, documents, surveys, and even more elements in a single and safe space to make your collaborative projects easier and more efficient. Cons Sometimes in order to access Kahootz, you have to try more than one time, also the document preview area needs some fixes since it is hard to load from it.
