My overall experience with LMN has been a 10/10. It’s completely changed my business, especially with the budget tool, which helped me finally know my numbers with confidence. The value has been incredible; LMN has paid for itself many times over

Pros

The budget tool and the access to customer service reps have been game changers for me. They’re not just a number on a website, they’re at events, in peer groups, just a phone call or text away. You truly feel supported every step of the way; they don’t leave you hanging.

Cons

The schedule feature needs some work. I’d love to be able to use colors to quickly tell apart weekly vs. bi-weekly maintenance, tree work, or landscape enhancements. Maybe that feature is already there and I just haven’t figured it out yet. That’s one of the reasons I’ll be joining an LMN Boot Camp soon, to really dive in and learn.

I couldn’t be happier with onboarding, the vision and continued innovation with LMN. Excited to see where the future takes it.

Pros

The customer support on boarding and continued support has been unmatched compared to other big players in the industry. When they say the software was built by landscapers for landscapers, they mean it. From leadership team down to field crew the app and UI is beyond what the others have even come close to. Time tracking through LMN is awesome and sometimes you can seem a little clunky, but what makes it great is that every job automatically has job costing for the time which is one of the most important factors in any business especially in ours, which is very labor heavy.

Cons

No software is perfect for everybody. There’s only a few few things that would be on my wish list. Automations for client follow up would be one of them and then although their job costing is pretty solid I wish there was a way to integrate this better with other third parties like Dext or have AI recognize bills etc.. because let’s be honest job costing is only as good as the information you put in. An integrated comm/phone voip platform would be nice too haha

Our overall onboarding experience with LMN was very positive. Our onboarding specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\] , was knowledgeable about the product and great to work with—she made the setup process feel manageable and was always helpful when questions came up. LMN Academy was also a valuable resource, giving us a clear, structured way to learn the system and build confidence using the software. Together, the guided support and self-paced training made getting started with LMN much smoother than we expected.

Pros

One of the things I really appreciate about LMN by Granum is how easy it makes scheduling and tracking our crews through the Crew App. Being able to see where everyone is, adjust schedules quickly, and keep the whole team aligned in real time has made a huge difference in our daily operations. It cuts down on confusion, reduces back-and-forth communication, and helps us stay organized and efficient, especially on busy days with multiple jobs running at once.

Cons

One downside I’ve found with LMN is the limitation around customer texting. While it’s helpful to be able to send SMS notifications out, the communication is mostly one-way. It would make a big difference to have true two-way texting built in, so customers could reply with questions or updates directly in the system. That kind of back-and-forth messaging would streamline communication, reduce missed calls and emails, and make customer interactions feel more responsive and convenient.

We love LMN and are constantly recommending the software to other landscapers. A huge part of why they're able to do what they do is because they actually listen to their customers. Whether that's through submitted feedback, or hosting events, they love hearing from customers.

Pros

There are a lot of things we love about LMN. Honestly, at the top of our list though, would probably the support that we have received from LMN's team. Second on our list is the ability to understand our true costs and sharing the information with the rest of our team.

Cons

The hardest thing with LMN is having to learn it, but it can be more difficult if you don't have a system in place at all. We came from not having any systems, production rates, or much of anything into LMN, and that is a struggle. However, LMN has helped us figure out our struggles so that we can work on those things.

Our overall experience with LMN has been positive. I truly believe that every person employed by LMN genuinely wants to see our business and our team be successful. That honestly goes such a long way in this day and age! Even though there are parts of the software that are hard to use or have some kinks, we are still willing to work with the company because of the incredible support we receive.

Pros

The ability to know your numbers! By far, the greatest feature of the platform is its ability to do what it was literally designed from conception to do—provide metrics and data about your company that drive growth and progress.

Cons

In an extremely digital age, I do believe that LMN’s greatest drawback is the clunkiness of the software. The most important thing may be knowing your numbers, but a close second is ease of use. Automations, aesthetics, and lack of user-friendliness have been the hardest parts of utilizing this software.

Overall, the experience has been challenging but rewarding at the same time. It’s been great to see the budget and price list come to life. I would recommend to others starting on the platform to keep in mind that the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of the service.

Pros

LMN support is really beneficial when learning the platform. \[sensitive content hidden\] did an awesome job listening and breaking down the smaller details. Personally, learning new computer systems is extremely tough for me but \[sensitive content hidden\] took the time to go through everything slowly and at my pace while also pointing out areas where I could really use the system to my benefit. I’m looking forward to using LMN over the next couple of years to further refine my pricing.

Cons

The hardest part of LMN is learning the details of the system. I don’t personally think there’s much that can be done to make this significantly easier to learn. Part of what makes the platform so powerful is the level of detail but that also comes with a steep learning curve to ensure those details are properly integrated into your business.

Pros

Excellent customer support - live chat, email tickets, customer success manager. Ease of use and good interface. Easy to understand from a field perspective when the crews are logging in.

Cons

Not able to choose how we want our invoice template to look. It would be helpful if there were at least 5 or more templates to choose from. The current template looks like the information is jammed together and the font for the company name appears very large in comparison to the rest of the invoice.

What I love the most about LMN is the finance aspect of the software. It has ease of use, with the components to help us grow our company.

Cons

The one thing I did not like about LMN, isn't lms fault. While going through on boarding and transferring our information from Jobber to QuickBooks, QuickBooks was absolutely terrible with downloading the information needed.

Estimating for profit. Budgeting with a purpose. Tracking Time and collecting job data.

Pros

I used to not know how to estimate jobs to cover all my costs. LMN has changed that as well as helped me track time on jobs and employee timesheets. This software is so foundational to our business, and I don't know what we would do without it. We can tailor our estimates toward jobs that make us money now, and help us weed out unprofitable jobs.

Cons

Having been with the software since 2015, LMN has grown exponentially. What started out as a simple, amazingly effective software has inevitably become more and more complex over the years as the developers have done their best to accommodate the wide range of landscapers out there. I understand this to a point, but I hope the developers see that the main advantage with LMN was being able to job cost and budget SIMPLY on an easy-to-use platform. More and more features is great but the law of diminishing returns applies. Please don't make this some lumbering giant that is no longer simple to use!

We use this software for budgeting, job costing, estimating and time keeping. It works well with Quickbooks. We don't do any invoicing since we work mainly with large contractors, and our invoices come in the form of progress payment requests. Especially for the estimating department, it creates a consistent simple process to get the estimates out the door quickly. You can compare your estimate to your budgeted cost parameters to reduce mistakes, so it helps with the accuracy as well. We track our jobs won/lost and can use this data to make better decisions about how to bid. Time keeping is accurate and helps us put costs to the proper task and job. Overall, it has made our business run much smoother with consistent processes and analysis.

Pros

Estimating is easy once you have your catalog and items set up. Makes Estimating very consistent. Easy to use with Quickbooks.

Cons

Cumbersome to set up at first; even with video tutorials we needed expert advice, and took the classes. It takes a commitment to get it up and running consistently. Main problems would be getting foremen to use the timekeeping part correctly, and clocking in to the right tasks in a timely manner.

A++++ - 5 stars - 100% positive. I highly recommend LMN to all landscaping and snow removal companies.

Pros

Every feature of LMN is impactful and has changed the way we do business. We are able to set-up estimates quickly and see real time results for the first time in our business. We are able to quickly communicate with various members of our team and customers. Now especially in this age of working remotely LMN does all the right things for our business. LMN customer service, support, and ongoing training is also the best I have ever seen!

Cons

I don't think there are any cons to using LMN. The only thing I would tell new users is to be ready for lots of in depth research into the business to get things set-up correctly. And be ready to continuously tweak things along the way as you see what works and what doesn't with the way you have set things up. Also, don't try to do the set-up on your own. Take the LMN training and then set-up weekly calls with your LMN rep - you will be so much more efficient in setting things up for success.

Reason for choosing LMN

Customer support and training, ease of use. Also, LMN is constantly updating their software and adding new features to make it work for US. I can't say enough good things.

LMN is a great product made by a great company that is innovative and has been largely successful in the industry that it serves. Their staff know the ins and outs of landscape construction, snow clearing, and maintenance. They offer amazing training videos and seminars and are active in the landscaping community.

Pros

Overall, the program is intuitive and easy to use. Quoting is made easy with templates and product catalogs customized easily for your business. The Time App is worth its weight in gold and has become an easy way to communicate with our team leads through pictures and notes. Invoicing is almost seamless when combined with QBO.

Cons

The report function could be more customizable (time on site vs contract end date). Notices for specific events would be helpful (contract end dates). Adding a unique quote number to each page of a proposal (especially the signature page) would be thorough.

Over the years the program has become progressively worse. The features get harder to use and the functions are not accurate. It has become very difficult to navigate. If it weren't my busy season, I would switch.

Pros

It was easy to get started and it was relatively inexpensive. It claimed to do lots of things

Cons

It does a lot of things poorly. Customer service is argumentive and not trained. Reports are useless. It makes running operations so difficult. I could go on and on this missed opportunity. Some say are financed by Cat and they have sold out. Something is off, the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] I met is better than this.

Reason for choosing LMN

It was less expensive and quicker to implement. Aspire was just hitting market and its history was unknown. 4 years later, Aspire is progressing and LMN is less effective.

It will supercharge your business ahead of your competitors. If your competitors are already using it, then you're likely working harder than you need to at managing the moving parts of your business and drivers of profitability.

Pros

It guides businesses of all sizes toward a deep understanding and management of all costs of business, pricing strategies, managing employee time, managing overhead recovery and building meaningful budgets.

Cons

It does take considerable commitment to align and build the company data base... and like all other business management software, the relevance of the data produced depends on the accuracy of the data entered. LMN makes it easier than most similar software options in my opinion.

Overall experience has been good. LMN has helped us go from a 1 M business to a 3.5M business.

Pros

LMN touches all aspects of your business. From budgeting, to estimating, to CRM and sales, to scheduling, to time tracking, to paying employees, to getting paid.

Cons

The software isn't as intuitive as I would like it to be. You can tell it has been built on to itself as new features have become available which can leave it feeling disjointed.

LMN has changed the way I run my business. Each estimate now includes overhead recovery and accounts for all my expenses making sure we are making a profit, where as before LMN I was Eyeballing jobs and had no clue if I was making money or not. I have learned so many helpful tips in the LMN webinars and classes. Great community to be involved in!

Pros

It helps you know exactly what you will make on each job and what your expenses will be on the job. It also helps me make equipment buying decisions and to tell me if I should rent or buy a certain machine. I also think the customer portal is a game changer.

Cons

Onboarding was pretty time consuming on the front end, but it is necessary to truly understand the software.

This software changed my company. We were able to see through the budgeting software where our company needed improvement and make some changes. We made more money in the first year of using it than we ever had before. I don’t imagine us ever not using this program now.

I had a rather challenging time learning LMN in the beginning, but the support team was very helpful.

Pros

There are a variety of reports that are extremely helpful in tracking expenses and job costing.

Cons

The time clock feature on cellphone is rather awkward and challenging to learn. It takes awhile to recognize all of the different reports.

Not solving anything as LMN really makes you work more, ie. when you copy something you you expect ALL DATA to copy not just some of it..

Pros

Nothing really, The dev team has no idea how to make a fully working app.

Mapping doesn't work for Android users.
