The worst customer experience I have ever experienced as a business First of all, we already pay $72 a month just for an online booking system with four users -the system only emails And texts our clients we have no additional services so how a company charges that to begin is insane I called them today because we got a $15 fee for a customer booking through the fresha market marketplace app which I understand. They deserve a commission for that but our client called us and asked us to cancel her appointment in which we did so. And apparently their policy is we need to ask the client to go and cancel online??? As a business owner, how do we just tell our client to do with themselves? The client calls for a reason something has come up there’s an emergency whatever the reason is we shouldn’t have to resort to tell our clients to go and do it Their selves. I called customer service and asked for a refund. They would not do it, they told me that was their policy. I will be cancelling my whole debit system and booking system with my salon with this company they like to charge everything that they absolutely can and there’s definitely just as good other companies out there for booking systems besides Fresha that does just the same. Please stay clear of this company. The customer service is lacking.

Cons

They like to charge a lot of extra fees on top of what you pay monthly fees wherever they can. You can’t cancel your own client appointments without them charging you.

### "Injuring Clients, Deleting Clients"

Issue has been discussed & submitted for almost a year to Fresha. We are of the opinion that Fresha is not concerned that lives are being severely impacted (hospitalization, no appointments, no reminders, client name changes, etc) Fresha overrides client information if each and every client doesn't use an email, phone & credit card unrelated to all other clients. - families & elderly typically share this information to ensure appropriate transportation & finances.

Fresha overrides client information if clients choose to use same phone & email for reminders. (think families, children, frail elders) Fresha chooses to use the credit card name instead of the client name for transactions. Current situation .... Fresha deleted elderly (90yr +) client medical & profile information and replaced with another younger client (early 60yr+) profile information Result: no address to the frail elderly client on round the clock care to drive to their home to provide services. no profile charts for this client. etc

### "Great, but expensive "

I had a great experience with Fresha and used it for the best part of a year and had absolutely no issues with the system itself. The fees got out of control for me though and I never knew what I was going to be paying out per month. Sometimes I’d be paying upwards of £70 a month which in my opinion is unacceptable.

Pros

My clients were all able to book in with ease, they all complimented how user friendly the system is. It’s also very easy to get to grips with on the business end, everything is easy to find, change and personalise. I also really appreciate the invoice feature, I know a lot of other booking systems don’t have this.

Cons

The fees. New Fresha client fees for clients that I have personally found but because they searched my name on the marketplace, they were classed as a new Fresha client and i was charged 20% of their appointment fee, even if they don’t end up spending that amount. A monthly fee being put on top of this was a disappointment too, considering you also have to pay for extra features such as text messages.

C’était correct avec des changements qui rendent le programme de plus en plus complet. Le seul hic chez Fresha c’est que plus vous êtes client moins on vous récompense. Au départ on payait des commissions sur encaissement on avait aussi 300 SMS gratuits aujourd’hui on a plus du tout de SMS gratuit, et ils exigent un abonnement de presque 10 euros par membre de l’équipe en supplément avec simplement 30 jours pour décider si on accepte sinon ils effacent notre compte ce qui n’est vraiment pas une politique commerciale correcte. Je m’en vais !

Pros

Logiciel en ligne assez bien fait mais à gaz il faut bien une semaine pour prendre en main toutes les capacités. A priori je l’utilisais depuis 9 ans rien a dire !

Cons

Mais ils viennent politique de forçant les clients à s’abonner sous peine de perdre la totalité de leur compte et donc de mes 130 avis 5/5. c’est donc une technique commerciale assez peu louable, car vous ne savez pas si Fresha du jour au lendemain ne va pas recharger ses tarifs et un entrepreneur ne veut pas se permettre de travailler avec un partenaire qui n’est pas fiable. pricing policy has changed, Fresha is threatening his customers with a complete account closure if they don’t subscribe. In addition, fees are becoming higher and higher. SMS sending and no free anymore So I’m sorry but I won’t renew and I’m switching to Planity. Thank you very much, goodbye.

It’s not a complex system which is appealing to a small business along with the cost, however there are some usability issues that could be easily be fixed if they had good product \[sensitive content hidden\] and tech support.

Pros

Value for your money is good for a small business. Scheduling is pretty standard. Reporting is average with some critical misses

Cons

No cost of products sold report. They say they provide but you need to pull data from 2 different reports and unfortunately our inventory report has negative costs which they can’t explain. The data transfer process was a mess that required us to do a lot of manual fixing. Fresha blamed on our data however we did data capture before the transfer and know that is not the case. In 1 year we’ve had at least 3 different account reps and responded back is slow or doesn’t happen at all.

Overall I think Fresha is great, at the beginning especially. Great prices when you’re paying, a lot of extra functions, and best thing is that it is giving you customers (unlike some booking systems).

Pros

Best thing was that it was basic and free when I was starting. Not many options but for not experienced person that was a good thing and I think it’s still free for one person business (at least it was)

Cons

When my business was growing I needed more options but they were either paid or not really as good as separate systems. But saying that it wasn’t expensive and it was working quite well.

### "Fresha in no longer "Free""

It has helped our business dramatically I now have immediate and total control of my finances. We have recently started using the marketing functionallity and it is impressive.

Pros

It has great functionality and up until recently it was "Free" The functionality is probably the richest of any other Software in the Beauty industry and this is the reason that it often referred to as the world's #1 booking software. It is very user friendly and easy to set up and maintain. The Reporting even in the core system is more than adequate. The Help Center and Knowledge base are brilliant and there are abundant videos on Youtube to help one set up all functionality.

Cons

Fresha has built its reputation and user base on the premise that it was "Free"software. However over time they have slowly removed some of the "Free" functionality and started charging. One example being the calculation of Commission which was incorporated into the Payroll module that is not compatible in South Africa. In addition On-line payments which is a must in our indusrty is not available locally. Now giving a full ONE months notice they will start to charge a monthly subscriptions from 1st August 2025 for core features at R90 per person available for bookings. Unfortunately as the software and your data is held in the cloud you will no longer have access after this date.

Terrible. Rude and arrogant. If I could give it ZERO Stars I would! If I could show you the email conversations to back this honest review of a hard working business, I would. Continue if you dare but good luck.

When Fresha valued their customers before money.

• Money means more to them than customers, when you realise what thrives they are it’s too late, they have your hard earned money they don’t care that’ll you’ll leave as there will be more lured in by their tricks. • There is NO COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES!! Be warned, you loose money to them, you have no hope of seeing it again. • Take payments by the booking system only a 1.29% fee + 20p! Amazing Wrong! You will be charged more if you use tap to pay, that’s fine they tell you about that BUT they don’t tell you for every card added to the system by the client when booking \*\*even if they cancel or you never use the card at checkout!!\*\* you will be charged 24p every single time, apparently it’s checking to see if the card has funds so it’s charges us the 24p to “check”. Doesn’t sound much but this adds up ladies and gents! • This system promised “FREE FOREVER” we would always have access to a free version.. no again, not true. • You will be charged the 20% new client fee even when a client scans your very own made QR code on the salon in front of you. Fresha will deny all knowledge of this and point again to the above, you can’t do anything about it.

### "Terrible customer service, lots of hidden fees. "

Horrible, do not use them. They over charge for everything. I was given a processing rate but then they ended up charging me 0.5% more than what was supposed to be. I ended up paying double if not triple what I was paying with my old processing machine. They also like to charge for 20% on new clients that they didn't refer. When asked to be removed off of their "marketing" site, your clients cannot book appointment online anymore so you are stuck with occasionally paying for 20% of "new client" fees even if that client cancell their appointment. They are so greedy they like to charge for services that they didn't provide. Also had a staff no longer working and I was charged for her because she used to be a bookable staff. Overall, shady and greedy business.

Very disappointed with my experience with Fresha . Keep away from it if you want to have a business. I was running my aesthetic clinic in UK with there booking system for a while and now comin off. They charge you for your own clients saying that they are coming from there marketplace. I fact my all come from google search and then went to my website where I had fresha connected for my booking and they have charged me on a numerous occasions unfairly. Any other booking system will be cheaper then Fresha. Phorest, Pabau you name it. Fresha is not transparent and don't offer support when you are charged unfairly even i have provided screenshots with my clients response.

Pros

I will say what I did not like because I had to pay 20% for my own clients charged from Fresha and they didn't want to listen and investigate and refund me. Incorrect marketplace fee charges Poor customer service response No accountability for billing errors Unauthorized charges not refunded Refused to acknowledge proof from clients

Cons

Fresha has repeatedly charged me 20% marketplace fees for clients who never came through their platform. Despite providing screenshots and direct confirmations from my clients showing they found my business through Google searches or personal referrals, Fresha continued charging hundreds of pounds monthly in unauthorized fees. When presented with clear evidence from my clients, Fresha failed to acknowledge their error, investigate the issue, or process refunds. They took money from my account for clients who discovered my business independently, essentially charging me for my own customers. Business owners should be extremely cautious when using this platform. Review your charges carefully, as they may charge you marketplace fees for clients who didn't come through their service. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to correct billing errors is concerning.

We liked Fresha enough, at first the credit card for a no show wasnt usable for us HOWEVER they did make a change and in the end we could use it. We ended up changing simply because we got new management that wanted to use what they knew how to .

Pros

I liked how easy it is to view which employee has which service and when, as well as we like how easy it is to move services over/ to a different time if needed.

Cons

We found Fresha a bit complicated to set up, as well as we found clients were not fully understanding how to book and didnt end up submitting appointment request.

Pros

Fresha is very user friendly even for beginners. It is easy to schedule appointment. You can also be rest assured that you will not miss your appointments because it would notify you should your appointment be coming. The customer service is also very responsive.

Cons

One can find it difficult to navigate when you want to try to book an appointment. Also, the reporting aspect of the fresha is very hard to navigate.

Beware of Fresha’s Hidden Fees and Unethical Practices If you’re considering Fresha for your salon, be prepared for steep costs. For a busy salon, monthly fees can easily exceed £350—and that’s just the start. One of the most frustrating aspects is their hidden 20% “new client fee.” This charge isn’t transparently shown anywhere, and you’ll need to manually check each client to see if they’ve been hit with it. Fresha makes accessing reports that might reveal these fees an additional expense, charging a premium of £60-90 depending on staff size. Want chat support? That’s an extra £17 per month. Access to reports, client texts, emails, marketing, and payroll? You’ll be charged for every single feature. Everything in the system comes with a cost, and it quickly adds up. Even worse, some of their “new client” fees are enforced through dubious tracking methods, which may not even be legal. Fresha seems more interested in squeezing as much money as possible from its customers than providing transparent and fair service. I’m in the process of leaving Fresha because I can’t justify paying upwards of £10K per year for a booking system that doesn’t respect its users. If you’re looking for a booking software, do yourself a favor and find one with fixed costs that treats its customers fairly and transparently.

My experience has been totally positive, I would like to improve some things but that depends on me and my clients (like the use of cards to charge when they don't show up for the appointment), but this is a complete app with everything you need.

I use it to manage my clients' appointments and have all my services organized and accessible to all my clients.

Cons

I don't have any negative comments at the moment. I've been using the dating app since March 2023 and I've found it great.

Overall is okay, it will be better if you offer loyalty system so we can record clients rewards or beauty bank service to deposit money.

Pros

Easy to Use. Didn’t have the option to turn off market place and we have to stick with the 20% referral fees unless we quit using Fresha.

Cons

Regarding theft of service, we are unable to process the payment without client provide us a security code sent to their phone. The system should provide more protection to us as a business owner. If we require their security code to charge their card, then it didn’t make sense anymore. I wasn’t aware about this issue because normally small amount processing was working fine, until we had a more premium service like hair extensions required payment over $1000 and client did a runner, after that I realised we won’t be able to charge her.

### "Great booking system for a great price"

Pros

I compared a few different booking systems before settling on Fresha. I chose them because they are one of the more cost-effective alternatives on the market and provide a very seamless customer experience. The app really looks beautiful, so I knew it would be a nice experience for customers. The Fresha team also seem to be working on the app software in the background all the time, and I appreciate that they're always looking for ways to better the experience for businesses and customers.

Cons

All businesses using the Fresha software are visible via the app. While this is great for other businesses to get more visibility, it's one extra step for customers to look up your business in order to book through the app. I'd also prefer if the cancellation policy could be more tailored rather than one, flat policy. 50% within 24 hours, 100% within 4 hours for example.

Pros

Me encanta!!!! es muy faci de usar. El servicio al cliente es excelente, son muy amables y pacientes.

Cons

lo que no me gusta es que no puedo enviar notificaciones por whatsapp. Sólo por correo o mensaje de texto, lo cual me dificulta porque en la región en donde me encuentro la gente usa mucho el whatsapp. Me gustaría poder enviar el formulario por ese medio a mis clientes.

Good - would recommend to small clinics.

Pros

Easy to add clients and appointments. Easy to set up.

Cons

It was more difficult to set up two clinic sites.
