May 26, 2025 5.0 Having used Xtensio for a few years now, I think it's a very strong product that allows me to bring to life many concepts in a visually pleasing environment. The fact that I can share these products as live links helps me deliver a living product that can evolve over time. Pros Xtensio has done well to bring the needs of template modification combined with the many template offerings. They provide a good base to work from, while giving the flexibility to evolve templates into custom products that can provide a strong visual appearance. Cons Like any product, there are some odds and ends that I would view as opportunities for improvement. For example, their "undo" button is somewhat specific, not covering all aspects of changes. Their product also has some particular quirks where pasting without formatting can sometimes reset other text colour in another module. CEO Internet Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Xtensio will be a powerhouse sales tool when it finishes cleanup and UX updates" January 31, 2025 3.0 Xtensio is a great sales tool that is almost ready for prime time. My designer and I spent too much time on design, but we liked what we got. In the end, we sent out the PDF of the proposal instead because were worried about how it looks on mobile phones. The \[sensitive content hidden\] is responsive and I think they'll get there, but we did get a refund before the return window. We hope to come back to it eventually. Pros The ability to track analytics on the engagement of a prospect so I could see what was appealing to them the most. Cons The information architecture of the platform is puzzling. Templates and Folios are not delineated in a way that is helpful to users. The app struggled with some browsers and I had a lot of issues with loading. Lastly, there need to be more editing tools. A hugely cool app that needs more development and cleanup. I used it to create a persona for a class assignment, and I found it much easier to find templates compared to other websites. Editing was simple, and I loved the color options available. Plus, it was great that I could track the history of my edits, which helped me manage my work more effectively. Cons The only downside was that I purchased the trial version since I only needed it once. However, even with the trial, it still downloaded with a watermark. I understand that companies want to make a profit, but from a user’s perspective, it was a bit frustrating, especially since I couldn't even take a screenshot without the watermark appearing. This brand is good for people wanting to use data and different methods to make tons of graphs or personas. I also like the many options it has for making specific data. Cons What I don't like is how some templates doesn't allow a lot of changes to be made to them, on top of needing to pay for premium to download a graph when worked so hard on. A good selection of different tones and feel in the templates helps your ability to have your own tone, touch, and feel of content. Cons While the templates options are strong, I find it challenging to find new templates that may give me new ideas. The digital sales sheet that can be constantly updated without having to send our partners new links and files is a massive win! Cons There were a couple of times that the section formatting didn't match from the editable page vs the link to the presentable page. This seemed to correct itself in a short amount of time so it wasn't that big of an impact. Reason for choosing Xtensio I had previously utilized Xtensio in my prior startup and loved the solution. February 23, 2019 1.0 Pros Nothing - they have caused me nothing but problems Cons The fact that I spent 12 hours working to a deadline using the tool to create persona's, and then asked to cancel my rolling conscription as I only needed the service as a one-off. Before I had time to download the personas in a PDF format, my account was simply DELETED. I received an email from someone explaining that they don't allow you to cancel your subscription and then continue using the product for the remaining time in the month that you have already paid for. Before I had a chance to see and reply to the email, I was given 48 hours warning, supposedly, my account and all the work I had completed for a client and their deadline for the last two days was gone. I actually cannot believe that a company could actually be so tight-fisted to do that to freelancers. Absolutely disgusted. Of course, I have invoiced Xtensio for my lost work, but I doubt I'll ever get any remuneration from them unless I pursue legal action directly. Do yourself a favour - avoid this scam! This policy is outlined on our site and terms, but we do note that you can reply within 24 hours if you change your mind and want to keep your account active. Since you replied before that time we had not moved forward with deleting your team yet. It seems that there was some confusion because you were logged into your personal dashboard instead of your custom team dashboard where you had been creating your folios. I hope my instructions helped you get to your team dashboard and find these folios. Just to clarify a bit more, if you'd like to download but don't plan on using the platform in your regular workflow, you can always purchase export credits without upgrading to one of our premium plans. Pros The options I have for professional presentations are varied and good enough Great customer satisfaction, I have received an answer to all my questions in less than 24 hours. Very intuitive in handling the formats when adding or removing new text or graphic modules Cons Sometimes I am frustrated that I cannot get the same characteristics between modules. The basic plan does not have the option of using more colors. When we want to paste content from PDF or power point like charts or graphs, it seems a little complicated to make it match the final destination.
