May 26, 2025 5.0 Having used Xtensio for a few years now, I think it's a very strong product that allows me to bring to life many concepts in a visually pleasing environment. The fact that I can share these products as live links helps me deliver a living product that can evolve over time. Pros Xtensio has done well to bring the needs of template modification combined with the many template offerings. They provide a good base to work from, while giving the flexibility to evolve templates into custom products that can provide a strong visual appearance. Cons Like any product, there are some odds and ends that I would view as opportunities for improvement. For example, their "undo" button is somewhat specific, not covering all aspects of changes. Their product also has some particular quirks where pasting without formatting can sometimes reset other text colour in another module. CEO Internet Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Xtensio will be a powerhouse sales tool when it finishes cleanup and UX updates" January 31, 2025 3.0 Xtensio is a great sales tool that is almost ready for prime time. My designer and I spent too much time on design, but we liked what we got. In the end, we sent out the PDF of the proposal instead because were worried about how it looks on mobile phones. The \[sensitive content hidden\] is responsive and I think they'll get there, but we did get a refund before the return window. We hope to come back to it eventually. Pros The ability to track analytics on the engagement of a prospect so I could see what was appealing to them the most. Cons The information architecture of the platform is puzzling. Templates and Folios are not delineated in a way that is helpful to users. The app struggled with some browsers and I had a lot of issues with loading. Lastly, there need to be more editing tools. A hugely cool app that needs more development and cleanup. Pros The templates are just awesome if you are looking cool presentations .It is also easy to navigate. Cons The platform can feel slightly rigid if you want very deep design customization beyond the template structure. Also, occasional formatting glitches when exporting to PDF can be frustrating. September 30, 2024 5.0 Overall, I've been happy with my experience with Xtensio and have found it to be a great tool in my toolbox. Pros Xtensio has been very reliable for me as a UX/UI design student, inspiring user research (personas, SWOT analysis, empathy maps), diagramming, and much more. I've been an intermittent user since 2018, when I received my first degree in UX/UI in 2020. Xtensio is very easy to use and quick to get started. Instead of wasting time wondering how to get started, I can enter the important information I need to capture, and Xtensio takes care of the layout—a convenient way for me to get my ideas on paper and roll on from there. Cons The only thing I wish Xtensio would do is update its selection of templates. Although the existing library is helpful, it would be nice to see some fresh stuff. However, I am grateful for some template structure to establish my ideas. Perhaps Xtensio could start an incentive program, allowing users to submit template designs in exchange for a certain amount of credits to pay the monthly subscription fee. Their corporate customers would also benefit from this as their library of templates would be expanded, and businesses would still continue to pay their subscription price—just a thought. :) Review Source FA Funto A. A good selection of different tones and feel in the templates helps your ability to have your own tone, touch, and feel of content. Cons While the templates options are strong, I find it challenging to find new templates that may give me new ideas. The digital sales sheet that can be constantly updated without having to send our partners new links and files is a massive win! Cons There were a couple of times that the section formatting didn't match from the editable page vs the link to the presentable page. This seemed to correct itself in a short amount of time so it wasn't that big of an impact. Reason for choosing Xtensio I had previously utilized Xtensio in my prior startup and loved the solution. I cannot describe the transformation I see in student's eyes when they are able to take dull lecture and reading and actually get hands-on. All our sections have a hands-on component its a hallmark of our program so xtensio changes young lives amd possibly launched a few careers! Cons Little busy at first but if you're in a course and the instructor is able to start at personas say, from there your excellent recommendation feature puts the next step close by and intrigues the student to keep searching for more.
