It does the job and helps our organization work better. Pros GanttPRO gives us all the necessary tools to plan our school activites on many levels. With the educational/nonprofit discount we were given it represents an outstanding value for money. It is very important for us to be able to coordinate events, milestones and deliverables across projects/schools. The Portfolio view provides a nice way to visually align. Reflecting task status is easy and visual. That helps to keep status information up to date and to anticipate problems before the become serious. Since we have people working on many projects simultaneously, the Workload view helps us to avoid overloading and expectations that can not be met. Overall we like GanttPRO for its ease of use and just the right functionalities that are important for us. Cons The lack of checklists associated with each task. We would also need to define sequences of tasks (processes) as templats with checklists for each task. May be integration of the checklists with tasks in Google. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! :) As for the resources, please make sure you have the “Auto budget calculation” mode enabled in the Project Settings. It allows you to add type (material, cost per hour, fixed cost) for a resource and calculate cost based on this. Additionally, in GanttPRO, you can define holidays\\days off for the Project itself and save this calendar as a template. To make changes to the Project, go to the Project Settings and click “Change working week”. Also, you can do this for a specific resource. In which case, you need to have “Fixed Estimation” workload calculation mode on with the “Resource calendar” turned on in the Project Settings so it can take the resource's days off into account. To make changes in a resource calendar, please go to the “Team and Resources” tab in account settings and click on the “three dots” button next to a resource. Speaking about minimasing the section, you can completely hide the left side panel by clicking at the blue arrow icon in the upper corner of the left panel next to the GanttPRO title and minimize/hide the task table by clicking the vertical “Table” icon.
