I deal with 1000s of files on regular basis and their search capability is by far the best. You really can't beat the price and pay as you go structure either. Because it can be accessed online, our document review team can readily retrieve and review documents anywhere, while I can see what they see and answer questions on the fly with nothing more than a smartphone. While Logikcull may lack all the other bells and whistles of its larger competitors, it is a very competitive alternative that is sufficiently robust to satisfy ESI processing, search, review, and production needs in the vast majority of cases. Pros I like the interface; it's very easy to learn how to use the features, especially in comparison to other e-discovery software. One thing that could use improvement is eliminating the re-loading process that occurs when a tag is added to a document within a search. For example, when I tag all documents with "None" for tags, then add a tag to a document, it takes a few seconds to "Sync and Optimize Results" which slows things down a lot. Customer service is fantastic, they seek continuous feedback from users and roll out frequent upgrades in response. All in the cloud so no IT infrastructure or personnel necessary. The ability to categorize documents across a variety of tags is a useful feature which makes retrieving material for multiple purposes/reports etc very simple. Cons If we could search for documents without the coding in the beginning that'd be nice. Also previewing documents on the side is sometimes slow because of how "flashy" everything is. But it is loaded with features and their support team is top-notch. They spent time walking me through the software so I could be more efficient with it and maximize the time I spend doing discovery. Cons Being brand new, there was a slight learning curve. But the company offers plenty of resources to get new users like me up and running. One feature request: ability to annotate PDFs. One real flaw is the creation of production set exports that fully retain the original marks for easy location. The best fix would be to add an automatic cross-reference file that shows, in the original database prior to numbering, where numbered documents can be found. Support sometimes is slow and referencing to other units can usurp too much time. Pros Speed and interface Cons Poor export sets that do not record numbering in original database so numbered documents can quickly be identified in original un-numbered state. I find sometimes one-off issues arise, but I think those are just minor bugs (which, when I bring them to the attention of the support people, seem to get resolved). I use the FAQs and find them helpful, but I would really like to see a manual organized in such a way that later material builds off of earlier material.
