Pros: Super convenient... I setup my company and employees once and now it is very easy to record expenses and payments. It required minimal training and all employees were able to use it within no time. Invoice auto scanning feature works like a charm for standard bills like utilities etc. and saves lot of time.

One extremely helpful feature is auto identification of duplicate invoices which you by mistake upload. It helps in catching silly issues which could have become serious if overlooked.

Look and feel and UI/UX is so great that I have asked my development lead to use it as benchmark for our product :) Hope Zoho team wont mind this ...

Cons: Only problem I have faced so far is with the Advance Management. Somehow, I was not able to adjust advance paid to an employee with his expenses. This looks to be a simple feature. Hope team could implement this in future.

Secondly, not related to Zoho expense but I wonder why Zoho people does not have full blown salary module into it. It put me into lot of trouble of identifying another vendor for this and now I am forced to use that to main employee salary accounts. If possible, please pass this message to the relevant team. Zoho people is a very important module and it should be tightly integrated with Zoho expense. But some how I found Zoho people recommending other 3rd party software for salary management. Why not integrate that feature in Zoho expense itself and make it more useful for overall accounts management.

Pros: it is simple, robust and It allow me to move forward towards an integrated enterprise. I like the brand, whatever software they release transmits honesty, hard work and willingness to solve my problems. They are in constant evolution, if sth is not perfect they will improve it shortly.

Cons: very US oriented, I wiush it would be more flexible in some options, more power in customization so our budgets and reports can fit better with our brand voice.

Overall: automated expense reporting. control over expenses. mobile based inbound.

Pros: I like the way it handles my expenses claim from me to manager and till accounts department. also the bulk expense submission

Cons: The bulk expanse submission process could be improved, i didn't like it. it is not much user friendly.

-Multi currencies is crtitcal for me

Cons: -OCR a bit less accurate than expensify

Pros: Snap a pic of an expense and either upload info manually or let the software do it. What I love is that I can upload many receipts and leave them in the Zoho account until I'm ready to input and sort. Really helps.

Cons: Only thing I don't like is that the reports are somewhat limited. I can't manually add in percentage (such as a 50/50 split for meals), but it's not hard to do manually.

Overall: Finally create a bookkeeping system I can trust!

Pros: If you are already using the Zoho Suite, then you should be using this for expenses. It is stupidly easy to use. Integrations are great all around. It is just simple, easy, and quick to use.

Cons: The scanner functionality doesn't always get it right. In addition, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to rescan it to try and upload again. User guide and customer support is lacking and needs to be better.

Cons: what I like the least is that the mobile app is quite slow regardless of the device you use it on. Especially when it comes to saving, uploading etc...

Pros: Keeps great track of where the money is that we've given out in our organization, and I always know who has request money and whether they've spent it, and on what

Cons: Not very easy to figure out, and online seminars are not convenient at all in our time zone (they only happen around 7pm for us, when we're all no longer at work). Once I got it working, it has definitely improved our quality of expense tracking

Pros: How simple it is to attach receipts to expenses, group them into reports and make a claim. This makes is very easy for those on the move to submit expenses.

Cons: The website version can be a little clunky to use when attaching receipts, I would recommend expense claims are made via one of the apps. It can also be a little tricky to perform admin work as the website isnt the most user friendly.

Overall: Simplifying and streamlining the expenses process for a growing business.

Pros: Thanks to this application I can record expenses at anytime and anywhere. It's as simple as taking a picture.

Cons: The payment plans are very accessible. I would like the integration with Zoho invoice to be better. Sometimes it does not update when I have to correct some expenses.

Pros: This application helps you in the financial part, filing the expenses of the company, generating reports of expenses that go through an approval flow. It is very useful and easy to learn to use.

Cons: The receipt scanner, it helps a lot, it makes the job easier but it's not always accurate. It really is a great help. I think I could improve a little more.

Pros: the users need very basic training to use it (directives mostly). Is very flexible and can be customized. scalable and works great in smartphones

Cons: The support is very fast and efective, but sometimes we need spanish support by phone and only english is available

Pros: The integrations with other Zoho applications and from 3 parties are very usefull and powerfull. It lets you connect your data and get more insights of your business

Cons: I believe that Zoho should work to have better integrations with Brazilian companies, especially with local banks, so you could better manage better the financial information.

Pros: Very simple to use, quick to input expenses and a great "catch-all" for expenses. I love the fact that I can collect a month's worth of expenses and selectively submit reports.

Cons: Originally I used this software on my cell phone and on my pc as a stand-alone user. I've now onboarded a new person into our company located in a remote location and as such, I have no major issues with the software.

Overall: Quick expense reporting and no paper!

Pros: The ability to enter all our office expenses electronically, and capture all the receipts with my phone's camera, is a real time-saver. And everything is uploaded and stored in the cloud, so I can work anywhere and anytime!

Cons: Sometimes the App Server syncing is very slow even though I'm on high-speed Wi-Fi connection. Email alerts are getting delayed sometimes.

Like the Expense module and it's integration with Zoho Books. Eases a lot of pain and effort!!

Pros: Easy to use, easy to setup! I like that I can email receipt and it comes inside Expense. Its nice that it has an app and the web version is also beneficial from time to time!

Cons: I would like to be able to print the receipt with the detail that I put in inside every expense that I add. That way it would be easier for my accountant.

- Analytics are great
- Reports can be sent directly to clients

Cons: Needs the following improvements:
- Delegated profile
- Ability to mark as paid when clients reimburse the expenses to the company. (the company having already reimbursed the employees)

Pros: Easy integration with Zoho Books. Clean functionality. Easy to use interface which allows people with even basic computer skills to use and report - esp the mobile app. Allows me to capture and keep all our enterprise expenses, small receipts, etc in one place and save the hassle of keeping all these small papers and tracking them over an year.

Cons: The system of reporting and recording advances and settlement against the advance could do with some improvement.

Pros: This has all the key features you likely want in an expense app/service. The value proposition is fantastic. Support, while not perfect, has been ok and certainly appreciated - not that you typically would need support. One bug in at least the android app around taxes was fixed same day it was reported, which is fantastic (or lucky, either way, we were happy).

We considered many options, tried a few, and chose this one.

Cons: It isn't as customizable as some of our staff would like - mainly in how the info is displayed on the website.
It would be nice to have a bit more granular controls over the rules for different groups and the like.

Overall: Increased productivity

ZoHo Expense is remarkably easy to setup and use.

Pros: The phone app is really handy. It will automatically and accurately scan even the most dog eared of receipts.

Cons: There really are very few downsides to the design and use of this software. It would be great if you could load your fixed costs into the software (you probably can) and then instantly report and reimburse on a given day each month.

Pros: Automatic reading of receipts and email receipts, ease of putting together expense reports, ability to recommend feature (LOVE this, and being able to see which ideas are being implemented by Zoho)

Cons: Inability to detect duplicate expenses, not sure how restaurant receipts work (with having to scan/submit both the itemized receipt and the credit card charge total)

Pros: The ability to map expenses and receipts directly into Zoho Books for rapid rebilling has saved us time and made our invoicing process more accurate. The autoscan features are great.

Cons: The default settings per expense are occasionally challenging. Sometimes we mismap an account by accepting the default.

Pros: The mobile app and easy set up are by far the best part of the software. We have reduced paper and increased the checks and balances for our organizations spending. It is wonderful how much it integrates with zoho books

Cons: The only complaint is that all expenses have to be added to a report. It would be nice if we could submit one off expenses without creating an expense report for them.

Pros: Easy to use and set up. Screens are fast loading and software is intuitive. In general you can customize it pretty well. Categories are good. Editing expenses is pretty easy also.

Cons: Would like more flexibility in naming conventions. Also it would be good to be able to run searches and reports on UN-SUBMITTED expenses. As users enter expenses they are duplicating some as it's hard to see and find them until they have been submitted. Also automatic duplicate warning (Same Vendor, Amount, Date) would be a good feature.

Pros: ZoHo is very easy to use and I like the fact that you can create a report and save it for later use. It is also easy to understand and operate.

Cons: I have tried to use this as an app on my phone, but found it is much easier to use on the computer. But I also think this is typical of most phone apps vs computer apps.

Overall: It makes doing receipts and expenses much easier.

Pros: Field staff has had an easy time learning and using it to capture expense while in the field. Customer support is quick to respond to our needs.

Cons: We have encountered some uploading issue with the iphone platform while traveling internationally. Also an expense can not be split between more than 1 project.

Overall: Electronic expense reports and quicker turn around on answering questions and getting approvals for field expenses.

I use Zoho for my work expenses and find it simply and smooth to use!

Pros: You can use the software from your phone and your desktop which is extremely user friendly. You can add expenses in easily on the go from your phone as they come in.

Cons: The website is very involved. I think it could be simplified a bit to make it easier for a less tech savvy crowd.

Pros: Intuitive platform and easy to roll out and use if it functions the way ZOHO markets it on all of its functionality. Beware of direct feed issues on VISA cards.

Cons: Have been using this platform for about 2 months now with 15 subscriptions and it has been riddled with direct feed integration issues, where for us none of our transactions from VISA card would sync with their system.

Overall: It hasn't performed to the level that it should. We have been put off by their back office support issues.

Comments: Zoho Expense is an extremely valuable tool for expense reporting. It works best with Zoho Books because of its tight integration. It has workflow tools that make expense approvals easy

Pros: Tight integration with Zoho Books, Slack

Recommendations to other buyers: Highly recommend Zoho Expense and there is a free version

Comments: Expense by Zoho has turned out to be perfect for our business. We can send estimates, invoices, keep track of expenses and so much more. We love getting our weekly summary each week, our customer love getting the personalized thank you notes after payment. It's the best!
