better than expensify! I'm officially switching. I find it far easier to work with and the price is better, the perfect combo.

Pros

easy! The scans work great, as do emails. I can set up reports and categorize with no issue. And I love the price!

Cons

I don't like how corporate cards can't be set for reimbursement. And deleting cards proved difficult. There's a bit of a learning curve.

Pros

Love how smooth and easy it communicates with QuickBooks Online. The app is great and easy. Our employees love it.

Cons

One thing that's a more inconvenience than a con, is being able to select multiple reports to export to QuickBooks online at a time. At this point we have to click into one report at a time to export to QuickBooks. I would also love to see a timekeeping option that also works with QuickBooks online and QuickBooks Payroll so we have a 1 stop shop.

Overall it seems to be OK will do another review during the next test phase. I seem to like the look and feel of the software.

Pros

The fact that it can be integrated with Zoho books Will like to explore more to be sure it is what we want as what we were looking for was just a procurement module.

Cons

Not yet fully checked but will be looking forward to exploring further integration possibilities and how to fine tune the process map.

Zoho Expense is a solid expense management tool with strong reporting I look forward to being fully set up so I can integrate with the other apps particularly Zoho Books. It seems to work well for day-to-day expense tracking and approvals, but it is less flexible for organizations with complex, multi-currency, or donor-funded structures like ours. With clearer documentation and more configurable options, it could be significantly stronger for nonprofit and international teams.

Pros

Their customer support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Support tickets are handled quickly, and follow-ups are consistent until issues are resolved. This has been especially valuable during initial setup and configuration. I am grateful for the customer support team's responsiveness. They are very knowledgeable. I want to shout out to Iftesham who has been so amazing through out.

Cons

Some core configurations are rigid, particularly around base currency, advances, and how expenses are categorized across projects or departments. The learning curve for admins is steeper than expected. So I'm glad they have 2 free hours of onboarding.

Overall, I cannot complain. It allows me to do my job and give my clients what they expect from me without any issues.

Pros

Zoho provides everything I need for a small fraction of other software. Also, the features and abilities that it has. The reports I can run without having any issues.

Cons

The only thing I do not like is that you cannot bundle services or companies. Wish there was packages at a cheaper price for users who use multiple sections and for multiple companies.

For our purposes, Zoho Expense works best. I've tried other apps and had too many problems with them - Zoho just works!

Pros

Streamlines expense approvals which frees up valuable time for us. Great interface, fair price, checks nearly every box we were looking for.

Cons

There's one feature that would be huge that's hard to find in an expensing apps: The ability to automatically match when there are multiple charges for one receipt, or multiple receipts for one charge. This functionality would be huge for us!

Reason for choosing Zoho Expense

Expensify did not handle the issue of matching multiple transactions to one receipt, or multiple receipts to one transaction (something we find happens with Amazon and Costco orders). Sage looked promising, but there was no trial available, and recent reviews indicate that the platform has become buggy and frustrating to use.

Pros

While my experience is somewhat limited as a new user, so far i have found it to be very intuitive and comprehensive. I like that I can track mileage along other expense categories either from my mobile or desktop, and i can do create a quick pre-formatted PDF report for submission. Also like that it interfaces with Zoho Books, which although I haven't tried, appears to be very useful to make record keeping easier.

Cons

I just started to use it. So far, haven't found anything I didn't like. Very promising application

Actually, my company was using a manual petty cash process, but after we started using Zoho Expense, the process has been seamless.

Pros

The fact that I don’t need to post petty cash expenses after they have been approved, that the comment section can be used for internal communication, and that all approvers are notified.

Cons

None for now. I would recommend the Zoho accounting package to small business owners because it is easy to understand and use.

Zoho Expense is a solid expense management tool with an intuitive interface and strong automation features. The approval workflow and policy enforcement save us a lot of time. Would love to see even more customization in reports, but overall it's been a great experience for our team

Pros

The user interface is great, it definitely is value for money. We've been using Zoho Expense for a few months now and it has streamlined our entire expense reporting process. Auto-scan for receipts, multi-currency support, and seamless integration with Zoho Books are standout features. Highly recommend for small and mid-sized businesses.

Cons

The fact that it does not provide a single POC for raising issues. The customer support can be relatively slow to respond.

Very helpful. The auto scan feature is absolutely a massive time saver. This literally saves so many hours of time.

Cons

I wish there was a higher daily scan limit as well as a higher monthly limit. They are willing to lift it with temporary exceptions.

My overall experience with Zoho Expense has been largely positive, especially because it cuts down a lot of manual work and keeps team spending transparent. The security controls and automated checks give confidence. It offers a solid value for money for most use cases, but costs can creep up when you start using the more advanced features

Pros

1\. Really liked how quickly I could see expenses coming in. Also submitting bills from the mobile app felt smooth, just click a picture, fill two fields and its done. 2. The automated policy checks saved me so much manual review time. 3. The multi-level approval flow is clean and logical. 4. Because I already use Zoho products, the sync was almost plug-and-play. 5. No complicated setup, and the integration with payments and reimbursements works efficiently most of the time. 6. Zoho expense feels reliable from a security point of view.

Cons

1\. The receipt scanning sometimes misreads amounts or vendor names, especially on faded bills. 2. The reporting is good and functional but not very visually rich from my point of view. 3. At times support responds quickly, but during peak days it feels like the queries go into the queue and take longer than expected. 4. Customization takes time as I had to watch tutorials just to configure certain policies properly. 5. For smaller teams the cost is fine and seems value for money, but for growing teams it can add up faster than expected.

Pros

I think it's a great value for the cost. We've been able to customize it to meet our needs. It allows us to track our expenses more efficiently and is saving a lot of time on the finance side.

Cons

We use Quickbooks Online and use classes in addition to the account/catergories. It would be helpful if we could have an option to include that to simplify importing reports into QB.

Pros

Zoho Expense is nicely integrated into Zoho book. I love that it is also tied to our credit cards and reminds me to scan the receipts immediately when the card is charged. The expense reports really go together nicely.

Cons

Still having a little bit of trouble with the Credit Card integration updating timely between the initial authorization and the final charge.

Pros

Field can submit expenses easily using Zoho Expense, and the approval chain is flexible. Auto-scan for receipts saves time.

Cons

The interface may seem a bit outdated, and syncing with other Zoho apps can be slow. Without that issue, i feel using it very much helpful.

I think that it is easy to use, and a great way to streamline an Expense process for a business. I just used the real time mileage tracker and that was really easy.

Pros

Once you got the hang of submitting an expense, it was easy and seamless to use. You can take a picture of receipts on your phone, so you don't have to worry about paper logs. I also like the chart that shows what you are spending your money on.

Cons

At first we didn't realize that we needed to create report to submit an expense. Now that we know that, it is easy to use.

Pros

It is very simple to use and relatively explanatory. The app interface is clean, easy to understand, and functionality of desktop to mobile is easy.

Cons

There seem to be a necessity to engage a few work arounds needed for a single employee small business when it comes to expense reporting.

My overall experience with Zoho Expense is a positive one. I own several companies, and it makes keeping track of each one easier.

Pros

I like that everything I need is in one space. Especially since I run several companies. Being able to take pictures of my receipts is irreplaceable

Cons

I think the delegate notifications are not intuitive, and therefore, it's not useful as a CEO for my assistant. I also think road trip not just airline flights for travel would make the travel feature more useful

Really good ap. I like the ease of use and the ability to stay on the move throughout the day without worrying if I lost a receipt or not. Just open the ap, snap a pic, fill in the needed info, and away I go to without worry.

Pros

ease of use. I like being able to snap a pic of my receipt and load all the info needed as soon as I get a receipt. Easiest two minutes of the day.

Cons

It seems that during the free trial you are limited to the pay choices to report from and expense accounts.

Easy to use from the begining. When installed the app it was easy to use and relevelent to what i needed.

Overall a very positive experience using Zoho Expense as it enables the digitising of receipts through utoscn, nd retaining images for tax purposes.

Pros

It enables the quick capture of receipts through autoscan, and takes pictures of receipts for tax purposes

Cons

I could not delegate receipt capturing to users outside the organisation, i.e. consultants, etc. for them to also allocate their receipts for billing purposes.
