We needed an easy way to help our employees see and keep track of their expenses, then report them for accounting purposes. Zoho has made this easy for us. What sets Zoho apart is that it truly is small business friendly; their pricing plans make this affordable for small businesses while providing enterprise level features and benefits.

Pros

Zoho Expense is easy to setup, onboard and manage.

Cons

We had a few challenges with importing accounts at first, but customer service was able to help us get it squared away.

Love the AI scan. Also the fact that there's a mobile app. Makes it easier than using Google sheets. I also like that I can add my team members too. Also love that it syncs with zoho books.

Cons

Nothing at all. I think it's all great.

I manage a non-profit organization that has multiple teams working remotely and need to be reimbursed regularly for official expenses.

Pros

Free for 3 active users at a time, which is critical for us as a small non-profit. As far as anything accounting related goes, this is easier to work with than most tools. It creates reasonably usable reports and allows you to undo / unapprove / unsubmit as needed.

Cons

It isn't always intuitive how to handle reimbursements and advanced payments. For example, I had a team reporting expenses weekly, but working from a large advanced payment. I had to look up how to handle this as it would initially show a negative amount due for reimbursement. You have to then click on "report reimbursement" and it gives you an option to carry over the balance towards future reports. But the documentation for how to do these things is pretty solid and accessible.

Started off good, but when things slow down in the winter I'll most likely look for a new expense platform due to their inability to solve the Amex integration or offer a solution to this issue.

Pros

The expense importing is very important, but I've been waiting for two months on a solution to fix out Amex integration. When ever I talk to support they tell me they are working on it...

Cons

The ability to solve a function that is vital to expense recording and tracking. For the most part their support staff have been great, but five employee's for one of the companies we use Zoho for who are unable to integrate their Amex feed, when I talk to support they tell me this is an ongoing issue that they are working to fix. This must not be that important to them seeing how they have yet to solve the two month issue.

The cost, but I fear I'm paying for that.

Excellent experience so far. Very pleased to have everything integrated with a single provider.

Pros

Integration with banking and other Zoho apps makes a huge improvement in managing and monitoring expenses. If using Zoho CRM there is no reason to look elsewhere for expense management.

Cons

I wish that the receipts were auto-analyzed better but this technology is similarly employed elsewhere.

So far so good. No concerns or complaints. The user guides have been very helpful.

Pros

Zoho is incredibly easy to implement. Desktop and Mobile App are intuitive and bug free so far! Ideal for a small to mid-size company.

Cons

So far the only thing I can think of is it would be great if the Standard pricing included unlimited auto scan receipts. That's all!

Overall i am happy to use Zoho Expances as it gives user-friendly UI and easy and user-friendly software. without any training, we can use Zoho as its simple and easy.

Pros

Zoho Expense will have many benefits if you are in sales where you need to manage your day-to-day expenses. Zoho will give a very good user interface to maintain my expenses or upload bills for claims. I use Zoho for all claim-related expenses and this will save a lot of time and energy as very easy to use and claim our expanses

Cons

I have not seen anything which is not good as per my uses and purpose i feel this is good software for any organisation where they need to manage employee claim

Pros

Zoho Expense provides a clean intuitive UI, that is bug free and easy to use across desktop and mobile. While this may seem basic, I've used a number of expense management solutions that don't manage to get the basics right. Getting it up and running was easy, although we aren't using any integrations at this point, which is normally where the challenges arise. When you add on that the categorization algorithms seem to learn quickly, and the error rate on OCR is low, it all adds up to a great expense management solution.

Cons

While the initial trial period is great, working out which plan to land on could be easier if it was possible to explicitly trial the different plan levels.

the users need very basic training to use it (directives mostly). Is very flexible and can be customized. scalable and works great in smartphones

The support is very fast and efective, but sometimes we need spanish support by phone and only english is available

While I’m not in love with the latest version of the mobile app, it’s still a tool that I can’t live without when traveling. It makes the headache of handling expenses so much easier!

Pros

In a company that travels as much as we do, ZoHo Expense has proven to be invaluable. Being able to create projects, reports and add expenses to each while on the road is fantastic. Easy report exporting makes attaching your expense report to final client cost reports a breeze. Both the mobile app and desktop webapp make this platform incredibly powerful for our team of road-warriors.

Cons

The updated mobile app has a much less intuitive UX/UI. The previous version was much easier to navigate.

Zoho is a really good software platform for small businesses. In the expense area with Zoho Expense , is a great starting software to track money Spent. It does also keep full records for bookkeeping however some of the best features offered are the ones that don’t completely fulfill my needs. This software is no Microsoft however it’s a great place to statt

Cons

What I liked least ability this software is the file exchange between one device and the other never go smooth. The encryption is first rejected from the other device and that creates more time waste

Pros

50% of my "reciepts" are simply emailed and fowarded to the custom email address that Zoho Expense provides me. 50% of my receipts are scanned with my phone and automatically transcribed and uploaded. If you're in the same boat as me, then you need the mobile app to be smooth, accurate, and doesn't require time and clicks. I've tried them all and Zoho's is the best designed one.

Cons

No cons if you capture all expenses via email receipts or paper receipts that you can snap with your phone.
