Pros

The mobile focus and receipt management will change how we operate our business daily. We have so many different AP processes right now by team, and this will allow us to centralize and consolidate, saving everyone time and improving the quality of the information.

Cons

We have had some struggles with getting our credit card data feed into Zoho - not Zoho's fault at all, but it's typically an added expense and you have to deal with credit card companies or banks whose level of customer service doesn't stack up compared to Zoho's

Pros

It is very simple to use and set-up, especially compared to other software we've implemented. It is very simple to upload or take a picture of a receipt and immediately code it and add it to a report for submission.

Cons

I wish it had more fields for us to be able to not only list employees' departments (Accounting, Operations, HR, etc.) but also their locations. This is helpful for restaurants where employees are in different payroll organization codes.

Very good experience. My users like the app and this work for accounts is automated largely.

Pros

1\. Employees can file expenses remotely and do not need be present in office 2. Approval can happen on phone and no need to wait for people to sign in their presence 3. Employees get easy access to pending expenses and cleared expenses 4. All records are easily available online for future references and audits This way compliance, audits and general operations get automated largely and work becomes - easy, quick, paper-free, transparent and data-safe.

Cons

The only drawbacks are that some users need support in initial period when not people are not very mobile friendly due to lack of understanding of terms and on for expenses without invoice cannot be approved separately which happens sometimes when users spend in some places. If there could be an added approval for invoice-less expenses separately within the report then it would serve an additional audit purpose as well.

Reason for choosing Zoho Expense

Since I am already using Zoho Projects, Zoho Expenses was a natural option for us. Since Zoho has a plethora of solutions, it provides a single platform to connect my whole organisation.

The easy to use interface makes it exceptionally easy and quick to learn your way around it.

Pros

It's the best expense tool I've used to date. For our church organisation, it's straightforward to use. We're still building up our tech savviness and this app is generally straightforward to use.

Cons

No Cons other than it not picking up our local currency from time to time. But I can always go in and change that.

I am very satisfied with the product overall. There are some things that needs improvement but they are minor problem.

Pros

this software is very easy to use, it has most of the feature I require. It is nicely integrated with Quickbooks I use.

Cons

Mobile app is not showing original currency as total currency but all items are converted to your base currency. This was working in the past, so I don\`t why it just disappeared.

the feature of reading an invoice by the system which it uses to pre populate the the expense fields is a big help. the system can just scan the invoice and picks all critical data helping in quick submission of expense report

Cons

Probably the UI can be more intuitive and based on current trend.

Pros

Zoho Expense is extremely easy to use. Particularly like that it is tied to contacts in our CRM account. We have been on it for quite some time and it works well.

Cons

So far don't have any issues with Zoho Expense.

We needed to move to a better expense management software (previously using googleforms) which would allow a clear audit trail of approval + direct integration into Quickbooks. Zoho Expense has solved this issue for us very well - and for an affordable price.

Pros

Fairly straight forward to deploy - team needed a bit of training but picked it up quickly. Best feature is that staff can see balances owed. From an finance manager perspective, the integration with Quickbooks is excellent.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve and the concept of reports is a bit unclear for junior staff. Occasionally the app stops working.

Implementing Zoho Expense has saved our accountant a great deal of time and effort. She used to manually enter staff's credit card expenses into QuickBooks, but now she can import them easily. There are a few functionalities we wish we had (and hope will come at some point in the future!), but customer service is super responsive and helpful whenever we've had questions or issues.

Pros

User-friendly interface and easy-to-use mobile app; direct link to credit card statements ensures we are not missing any transactions. Syncing with QuickBooks makes monthly reconciliation much easier for our accountant - much less manual entry needed. From the admin side, it is great to access reports to view spending trends and habits among staff; helps with budgeting.

Cons

It would be great if the receipt / credit card transaction syncing worked a bit differently - currently we have quite a few staff who get overwhelmed by the end of the month from duplicate expenses. We have included in our training that they should add receipts as soon as the expense in incurred so that Zoho can match things properly, but that is not always feasible. It would make it easier if expenses created from receipts automatically linked to credit card expenses, even if they were added several days after the credit card feeds pull in. Another improvement would be more customization within different profiles. Besides being able to limit which categories are shown, we would love to be able to limit which classes, customers, etc are shown depending on which profile a user is associated with.

so easy to scan receipts and then allocated them to the right accounts. i never lose a receipt, i pay then take a photo on my phone.

Cons

sometimes the credit card interface is a little clunky link to CIBC fails. mostly CIBC security measures.

Pros

The ability to see all the expenses in one place and filter them is good. The reports, although I haven't used them a lot. Most likely I would like Zoho Expense better if I've used it a bit more - it does take a lot of trial and error, and I didn't quite get to the point where it was automatic.

Cons

Many of the options didn't work with how I've already been using my receipts, despite the many choices. It also varies according to which store the receipts came from - different methods work with different vendors.

My overall experience with Zoho Expense has been exceptional. I find that the chat function gives me quick answers. We are going through a learning phase on how to manage duplicates (which is pretty easy once you know what to do) but I would like to clean up the accounts of my users when they submit duplicate expenses after a report has been accepted and this functionality does not exist.

Pros

What I like most about the software is its ease of use. I used the trial period to get it set up for my users and we had no issues getting my users up and running.

Cons

The administrator has a lot of control but as the administrator, I want more control. My wish list would include the ability to manage and delete duplicate and failed receipts that linger on my user's accounts.

Reason for choosing Zoho Expense

It was a referral. A COO of another company made me aware of Zoho Expense and told me that his company had put Zoho Expense on its shortlist. I am unsure whether they have made the shift yet.

We move really fast as a small service business. Forwarding receipts to email make sure all receipts are accounted for.

Pros

The email forwarding to capture expenses for Zoho was the best experience out of the bunch. It did a good job of scanning all the data and accurately converting it.

Cons

Due to Zoho's numerous products, sometimes it's hard to know where to log in. Bookmark it and it won't be a problem.

• Auto-scan receipts • Multi-currencies (also supports Bitcoin) • Card transactions import • Possible to split an expense if different categories • Bulk add expenses • Multiple ways to import receipts (email, cloud storage, mobile app, web app) • Possible to add custom fields and tags in the expense form • Multi-lingual • Possible to edit the list of categories (also supports multi-level sub-categories) • Integration with Zoho Books and other third-party services • Flexible reporting

Cons

• Some import files require a pre-conversion in Excel • The list of auto-import cards is limited mostly to US issuing banks • Not possible to assign an expense to multiple reports (need of a proper accounting software for that) • In order to include expenses into the stats, these need to be included in a report and this report needs to be submitted and validated • It is not possible to add new expenses to a report that has already been validated. To do that, the report needs to be rejected first. • It is not possible to search expenses with a Paid Through account filter

The receipt scan feature is great and also ease of use

Pros

We are company that's spread across multiple cities and therefore the ease of submitting the expense reports for my team is fantastic. The really greate feature is the receipt scan, it is one of THE MOST useful function as it reads the receipt VERY accurately and has it ready for us to fill in the additional details. My team has actually run out of excuses why they cannot submit expenses on time. With Zoho expenses, we have now mandated that all resources should submit their expense within 1 week of trip completion. We plan to reduce this to 1-day.

Cons

The advance and reimbursement features seems to have some issues. It does not allow me to adjust an advance against multiple Expense reports.
