We are hoping to use it for expense tracking for employees and integration with Quickbooks online.

Pros

There is a lot to like about this software. It is well designed but the functionality is still not working fully.

Cons

There seems to be some inconsistency in the way the categories work on the mobile app.

As a small company of 20, we've been able to successfully eliminate spreadsheets and other manual validation steps in our process. The result has been successful, giving increase confidence in the process, saving mgt audit/processing time, and reducing risk of errors.

Pros

1\. Free trial period: allowed me to test easily, reducing risk of of failure, increase confidence in transition, validate. 2. Training tutorials for users made roll-out smooth. 3. Customized reports/exports. 4. Phone app.

Cons

Reports/Exports could be increasingly helpful with saved filter criteria.

The ability to capture expenses quickly without having to save them up till the end of the month. As well, the ability to edit them and put them in reports that are made automatically and that saves a huge amount of time!

Pros

Love the app, and the ability to be able to just drag and drop receipts. The automatic scanning feature is great, you just upload it and leave it. As well, having a dedicated email to just forward your receipts to makes things easy. All these features allow me to easily capture my receipts rather than hunting them down at the end of the month.

Cons

The user interface could be updated to look more modern. On the app, some of the PDF's don't show and it would be nice to be able to view what the receipts are without having to download them and open them.

Overall, I like the app. I need to be able to manipulate, approve and reimburse expenses and this app allows that pretty easy. Also has mileage tracking and timesheets if needed.

Pros

The features I like the most for expenses is the mobile app. You can easily scan a receipt and it uploads to the app. Very simple and easy to use.

Cons

The feature I like the least is how to add a receipt to a report. It seems that you cant create a report name and it appear in the drop down menu it seems that you have to create a new report of each receipt. Very confusing and not user friendly.

The experience is great, you can create and manage your expense reporting anytime and anywhere as well as view the current status of the report you have submitted.

Pros

The approval workflow is commendable for this software. I have not experience a loophole on the process itself. The use of this expense management is really easy as I have used this without any training whatsoever.

Cons

Creation of the reports folder and the actual expense report may be tricky. I have had a difficulty in identifying which one should be done first and the correlation in between these parts. However, I may not know this because I have not gone into any user training.

For quite a few years now, we have used Expensify.com to manage our trip expenses and receipts for 8 different cross cultural month long experiences. It worked well, but unfortunately in addition to a extreme increase in their rates, it was also not compatible with our newly purchased department devices that were acquired for the purpose of expense tracking. After finding Zoho, we realized how many features Expensify was actually missing, that we were paying more for. Zoho is highly customizable, works with every device and works better for our purposes than any other program we tried. We are so happy we made the switch and would recommend it to any company looking for a new expense program! Some of our employees have even started using it for personal expense tracking. It is an all-around winner!

Pros

I love the small features, like itemizing receipts and adding and matching expenses from cards. It's extremely easy to use and there are so many features, I don't think there is a thing Zoho doesn't have. I also love that it is compatible with all my devices, even Amazon Kindle.

Cons

It was a bit confusing at first, there was a small learning curve when I first started but I highly recommend watching a few videos and reading the help pages.

We have departments that handle a higher volume of receipts using this tool to help better manage getting receipts attached to expense reports timely, especially while on the go! They can then submitted completed reports with receipts attached electronically.

Pros

Zoho Expense's ease of use both from a computer and a mobile device is excellent! We really like the mobile app because it allows easy capturing of receipts and adding them to expense reports while on the road.

Cons

The only thing that I feel like I can put as a Con right now is the ability to because to have multiple levels of approvals through like a workflow. This would allow a person immediate supervisor to approve lets say an expense report and then once they approve it gets kicked up to Accounting review team/management for second level approval.

Pros

Once it's set up, it's easy for our drivers to upload their receipts on the road. For our sales and office managers, I love that they can forward their emailed receipts to their Zoho account; no printing needed, and no more fuzzy pictures of computer screens.

Cons

Setting up the app was confusing for most of our users. When you first download the app and create your login, it moves you into creating an Organization immediately (thereby creating their own personal Organization, which is of no use to us), instead of steering them to link to our company's Organization.

Terrific small business expense management. AI on receipt scanning is excellent.

Pros

Price, integration to Zoho Books, speed, security, receipt handling.

Cons

No integration with Fujistu scanners. Here in the US we still deal with full sized paper invoices and receipts. A phone picture does not get a good receipt on full sized paper. You need to integrate with Fujitsu Scansnap scanners.

We love Zoho expense. It integrates fully with our accounting software, Zoho Books. It is easy to use, offers us full control over approval workflows, and offers a convenient and secure way to store our receipts. The mobile app works great.

Cons

I do wish they included more auto scans of receipts with the subscription. After a certain number each month you have to pay more for this feature.

Employees were facing issues with expense reporting, it was very tedious to maintain excel sheets, upload receipts in drives, rename them to match to excel entered data. Admin team was finding it difficult to track the expenses in n number of sheets. Zoho Expense is on the mark of making employee's and admin team's life easy.

Pros

The mobile app is awesome, you can scan receipts on the go. There are multiple ways in which one can add expenses like, forwarding invoices to email box, camera capture, manual upload, credit/debit card sync. The system is easy to use once you get a hang of it. You can customize it to suit your organization's needs. Multi-level approvals, auto-approvals, custom company policy makes the tool highly suitable for any SME.

Cons

The receipt scans takes time (3-4 mins). The process becomes a bit tedious as it is two-step, add an expense, add it to the report.

I love how easy it is to scan receipts, categorize, and submit them to a report. I love also how well this integrates with QuickBooks Online.

Cons

The learning curve with how to use the software is my least favorite part.

It is a good tool to get us started doing expense reports electronically. Would need more features to be able to use it to electronically import it to our QB system.

Pros

Electronic features of expense reporting. Scanning of receipts and ability to append more than 1 receipt per expense. Approval levels

Cons

Exp reports can be changed after final approval by those with admin rights with out notice to all users. JPG images attaced to expense can not be expanded or rotated inside the software. Import from credit card most often picks up post date and not transaction date.

Very easy

Pros

It offers wide range of customizations and easy to use.

Cons

On the default app, I cannot enroll a new merchant along with Tax ID and Address from the expense form itself. These are key information needed for tax reporting and best encoded upon expense creation. Admin has to be the one to enroll, which does not work for our business and may need a custom workaround.
