Pros I liked how it was simple to design invoices and keep track of payment from my clients. I the free trial allowed me to test the program. Cons I did not see the value on the monthly fee for my business when there is several better alternatives that are free. August 6, 2018 4.0 Pros I really liked the pricing of this product, and I especially enjoyed the free trial. With the free trial I was able to test the product without any risk of losing my money without knowing if it's the right service for me. The whole design of the website is really user friendly and there's little to no distractions. It's a very good service that makes my business much easier to manage. Cons There wasn't really anything negative enough in my experience that's even worth noting. I got what I wanted and I'm yet to see any cons. I guess the pricing could get a bit expensive for some people, depending on the plan, but I don't struggle with money, so it's not a big problem for me. Review Source LP Lauren P. The downsides are minor compared to the ease of having time tracking, basic accounting, invoicing, and payment processing all in one system. Pros Very easy and intuitive to customize and use most features. Wonderful to have invoicing, time tracking, and payment processing all in one place! Cons Some details of records are a bit limited. Setting up expense tracking could be easier to manage on the accounting side, and on the time tracking side it would be nice to be able to bulk mark past hours as billed for clients who prepay for time. It's interface is easy to use and takes the intimidation out of bookkeeping. For the first time ever I am actually on top of my books and this is largely in part to Freshbooks. Cons Freashbooks has a nice dashboard design but I wish it came with more options of what I could put on my dashboard. When clients are happy, I'm happy. I also enjoy being able to see the month to month sales charts. It's encouraging being able to see the goals I need to make. Pros Creating invoices is an easy process with Freshbooks. With the auto fill in feature when creating separate lines makes creating new charges very easy. Clients find paying the invoice an easy process, I hear few complaints in that area. Cons The search feature is horrendous. Every time there is a need for a new search I either have to enter the client name, org name, or the invoice number. Finding the invoice I need to see or print quickly has never been more difficult. Cons With freshbooks, the performance metrics of our business management cannot be reviewed, and marketing cannot be managed. A major disadvantage is its poor ability to integrate into CRM services, since it has hindered the organization and consultation of our contact databases. If you have more clients than that and you do NOT file your own taxes (which you shouldn't, you should have a CPA do it), then Freshbooks will cost you more time and money in the long run. It is truly an invoicing solution and not a bookkeeping solution. Pros The price is right and the features are good. The ability to have a few clients for "free" is nice for businesses just starting out or for the part-time/side business owner/freelancer. Cons If you are a legitimate (full time) business, then you really need to step up to the tools and systems that your account/financial team will use. Such as Quickbooks. User-friendly design that focuses more on simplicity. . Pros IT IS FREE FOR ME, that's that best part about this software. Very easy to upgrade or downgrade on this software with just one click. It automatically synchronises the expenses to my account, thereby giving a clear and broad picture of finances. Though, I don't use it personally, but I know all aspects of this software, and customer care takes a bit long, but generally answers within two days. Cons It is better than the rival Quickbooks, but have somewhat lesser features. Pricing is a big no-no for medium-sized businesses. It functions or correlates to number of clients I've that is an unwanted feature. I only use FreshBooks for invoincing by the way Pros Until now, what I like most about FreshBooks is that I can create invoices for clients in my country, Nigeria. FreshBooks has a naira ( ₦ ) currency symbol/format which makes invoices and the platform look like they were made for you. Cons They only have 2 templates in the free version. I've had to use these two templates for so many clients as a developer, product manager and content creator.
