"Game Changer & Time Multiplier"

Overall: it has eliminated the slow tedious process of manually entering contact cards each week

Pros: We receive many contact cards each week. there is just not enough time in my schedule to manually input each one by myself...and there are critical areas needing attention from my volunteers. Thanks to Focus Min. we are able to do much more multitasking. All we needed was our smart phone & the entire process has been automated.

Cons: verifying contact information can be a slow process (especially for illegible entries) but this is minimal compared to the time it takes to enter all the Info. manually.

"Great Product for Teams"

Overall: Great for organizing missions trips

Pros: The ease of use along with the organization it brings for teams is very helpful. Great for getting teams on the same page and getting all the information you need for each person FROM them and TO them. Would definitely recommend to any church that runs missions trips, also great if you lead more than one team to differentiate each trip.

Cons: I would say the only con would be getting all the team in and familiar with the program itself (especially youth or the less technologically inclined), not much you can do but help show them the initial ways to work the program

"Excellent Support, Friendly staff, Great Product"

Overall: Focus Ministry was quick to respond to our texting needs and worked to solve our issue. They did, gave us access to a testing version of the solution, and rolled the final revision to us within two weeks. The people were friendly and quick to respond in-person. An excellent company.

Pros: This software ties in great with our Church Management System (Ministry Platform) and allows for some pretty deep integrations that put people on engagement paths and timelines. It was far easier for us to integrate this than other systems I have tried for online forms (Wufoo), text messaging systems (TextInChurch), and survey systems (SurveyMonkey).

Cons: Our texting process was unique to us and was not directly supported (Scheduled time releases to unify the sending of messages)... but... read the experience field.

Alternatives Considered: Wufoo, SurveyMonkey Enterprise and Text In Church
Reasons for Choosing Focus Ministry: It can combine a few of our other paid-for services into one, and allows us to pay as we use it rather than paying monthly even if we needed less that month.

"Focus Missions"

Pros: Currently, Focus Missions is used for everything missions based at our church. We are a church who uses the motto, "Life Life on Mission" and we constantly send trips and missionaries out. This is one of the most organized, easily manageable and team-oriented software that we've ever used as a church. We don't just use it for missions, but we also use it for camp attendances for our youth departments. It does an incredible job of handling finances per team, making it easy to fundraise, and being able to record necessary forms for each trip.

Cons: So far we have nothing negative to say about this software. It does what you expect it will do as a missional based software.

"Our team has been very happy with Focus Missions "

Overall: Their support is strong. They team with our team much like a ministry than like a corporate entity, which we greatly appreciate. They have recently come out with a new product and we look forward to working with them even more.

Pros: Focus makes it much easier and more efficient for trip participants and trip managers. Our previous "system" was cobbled together from several different tools, and it was much more time-consuming than it needed to be. Now we have a system that integrates directly with our church management software.

Cons: In the case of youth mission trips, sometimes there is confusion on whether to log in as the parent or as the child attending the mission trip.

Reasons for Switching to Focus Ministry: We had the opportunity to streamline by moving to Focus Missions, and to save money on the switch.

"Excellent customer service in time sensitive situations"

Overall: I have great customer service in situations that needed quick turn around times. There has been good follow-up and development when we had needs that were not represented in the software. Sometimes, I feel like the process of importing the data from Focus to CCB can be too slow but I am learning to be patient because it is likely that the data is difficult to read and process. I am finding that I do not use it every week because if I only have a few cards, it's easier to just do it and not wait for the processing and exporting.

"Love this for our missions teams!"

Overall: I love using this for our missions teams. It is great on my end as the organizer and on the team member's end as well so as to receive clear communication.

Pros: It has completely transformed the way we do mission trips! The application, payment, and communication being all in one place has made coordinating mission trips so much easier

Cons: I don't love that they recently changed the $20/month fee to be every month even if there are no active trips. One of the initial draws was that you only paid if you had an active trip

"Less Time = More Time "

Overall: This software is great. I have been able to reduce the time I spend entering card data and use that time to focus on other projects. In fact, I am now able to track more detailed data because of the reporting offered with this software. Any issues or concerns I have are addressed very quickly with updates provided continually. The customer service offered really makes us feel like we are more than just another customer.

"Great Product!"

Overall: This is such a great tool for administrative use. I have used it on several occasions and love the accuracy with which it can read people's handwriting! It saves from having to verify hundreds of cards each time. But, I am glad there is still the option . It's a wonderful tool that saves you time and money so that you can focus on what needs to be done.
