We felt Lever to be a great asset to our team.

Pros

Lever is user-friendly. My team was new to implementing an ATS and the process is seamless! We use ADP, and the sync went well. We felt the service was a better fit than some of the others we tried.

Cons

I do not feel like anything is missing from the product. Any moments that need a deeper dive, we were able to speak about with our implementation specialist. No improvements needed!

We felt that Lever had a wide range of capabilities to help the recruiting function.

All of my candidates come in via lever, the recruiter screens and I really like it.

Pros

The ease of use. I am VERY busy. Being able to review resumes, see what stage viable candidates are in, etc. makes it quick and user-friendly. I don't have time for lengthy reviews or trying to contact other interviewers for feedback on candidates; it's all in here

Cons

nothing really other than one drop-down (Strong Hire,Hire, No Hire and strong No) needs another field or not be mandatory (ie. add second opinion needed, Maybe, etc since as managers we all look for different skill sets: someone may feel strongly about a candidate but when meeting at length at a later interview, they demonstrate skills that are terrific for the role)

Saving time on everything from applications review to interviews feedbacks, including sourcing and nurturing !

Pros

I really enjoyed discovering the Nurture feature that helps me save a lot of time. The team collaboration on hiring is really smooth thanks to Lever from reviewing sourced profiles and applications to completing interviews feedbacks. Using Lever really ease the implementation of new collaborative hiring process within GitBook. My experience with Lever is the first user experience I ever had that encourages me to recommend a product being 100% confident ! I enjoyed every step of my experience with Lever from the very 1st call discovering the product with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], all the way to the amazing on-boarding led by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] until being an actual power user of Lever.

Cons

There is not much things I didn't like about Lever. If I would think of one, it would be the grey UI that is not really appealing and sometimes the UX such as having to go back on settings part to update a template but those doesn't reduce the great user experience one should have using Lever.

### "Great candidate-centric ATS. "

Overall we're really really happy with Lever. It's a huge improvement to our last ATS and will be critical in our next stage of growth. It's really a well-designed system.

Pros

Our company operates similarily to a recruiting agency, which means we tend to hire for the same job on an ongoing basis, as opposed to hiring one or two candidates, then closing the job. Because of this, Lever helped us understand that we need a candidate-centric ATS, as opposed to a job centric ATS. This is a critical distinction when evaluating ATS, and is why we selected Lever over other systems. The best feature is the global pipeline view that you see when you first log in. It makes understanding the pipeline really easy. And you can filter it down by job, recruiter, etc. which is also really helpful. It's really the best UI / UX of any ATS pipeline that we've seen. We also really like the tagging and automation tools. Also the tight linkedin integration is nice. Oh, and two-way email sync with gmail is a critical feature for us that not all ATS have.

Cons

The reporting can be a little hard to understand at times. It doesn't have a direct integration with indeed, zip recruiter, or other job boards, so job distribution isn't as good as our last system (workable). But we're making it work.

Reason for choosing Lever

It's the only candidate-centric ATS that also has a tight Linkedin integration and two-way email sync.

Pros

Customer support while setting up the whole system across 10 entities was superb. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was, despite the time difference, very reactive and helpful. On the product itself, it has been design to recruit and it does just so.

Cons

Some things are missing like really customizable analytics and filtered export of opportunities. The product is still being developed but as of today it still needs extra development to meet all our needs.

ATS that cares about people.

Pros

Switched from a no-reporting ATS to Lever and it has been such a wonderful experience so far. The whole tool is built with candidates and candidate experience in mind. I honestly cannot imagine going back to how we used to work. Working with candidate profiles is intuitive and fast - especially with the newest feature CV Review. The Chrome extension makes sourcing on Linkedin a breezy. Our account manager during closing the deal was absolutely lovely - she was a great support in pitching the proposal to the business and getting us the best price we could afford. Thanks, Lo!

Cons

I'm gonna have to say customer support. Issues are rarely resolved on the first try - they also work US hours only which makes it really hard to fix critical issues on day 1. Lately there have been more issues with the platform than before. Though Lever sent an email about it, why it happened and how they will ensure it doesn't repeat in the future.

Lever has helped build + nurture talent relationships far better than any tool or self-imposed regime. It also helps streamline hiring for teams that are new to interviewing and educate at the same time. I love its ability to track and project manage, especially in multiple ways (analytics, visual staging, etc) and identity strengths/pain points.

Pros

Nurture campaigns, the emphasis on candidates vs job, reporting capabilities, and hyper customizable Feedback, Email, Interviews, + staging. Additionally, Customer Experience is beyond excellent. Any support you need, it's there, responsive, solution-oriented, and faster than you can blink.

Cons

I don't. I love Lever. I will name my firstborn after this robust product.

### "The best ATS I've found"

Having past experience from using Lever, I knew it was my go-to ATS when I started my own recruitment company. Although not originally intended for external recruitment agencies, I find it to be a useful tool for our work as well – as a result we might not use all the features (e.g. the agency platform), but for all intents and purposes it's the best tool I've found. Customer service has been great, the only downside being that as there's no local support in Europe, we usually have to wait until the next day to get a reply. Not a big issue, but worth noting anyway. If you want to customize the recruitment pipeline steps and archive reasons you can't do it yourself, so in that sense it's not the fastest tool to modify on the go. Still, it's a great tool overall!

Pros

\- Ease of use - Useful features - Customer service - Integrations and extensions

Cons

\- No local support in Europe --> takes a while to get replies to queries - Customization has to be done through Lever support, can't update the recruitment pipeline or archive reasons by yourself - The job ads created through Lever don't look very nice

The customer service is helpful and knowledgable. They helped me set up the account in a way that complements our existing business processes and this flexibility was appreciated.

Pros

Lever is very effective and efficient as a recruiting tool. It has features such as the ability to schedule an email to send later. This is very helpful with workflow and sending declines to candidates where they don't receive them right away.

Cons

If Lever extended to being an HR Management tool with the capacity for performance reviews, etc we would have stayed with them but ultimately switched. Since we are part of a smaller organization, it wasn't feasible to have different tools for these functions. If you are looking for a tool that is strictly for recruiting, Lever is excellent.

### "Lever - an ok ATS with some flaws"

Lever is a good tool for the candidate journey. It is easy to use and helps you move through the recruitment process quickly. However, from a reporting and reliability point of view, there are better systems out there.

Pros

Lever is a recruiting tool that is strongest on the candidate side. It makes it easy for candidates to apply for roles, and the internal interview system is decent too, making it pretty easy to collect feedback from hiring managers. It connects with email and calendars well, and there are integrations for other recruiting and HR tools.

Cons

If you are looking for a great candidate database or an awesome way to track your reports, Lever is not the tool for you. The platform has reliability issues and terrible reporting functionality that makes it hard to get any meaningful data out of the system at all.

Pros

I like Lever's scheduling tool the most. I also like the home page interviews, approval requests and feedback dashboards.

Cons

I wish that we could buffer time slots between calls and limit how many calls can be scheduled in the easy-book link per day.

I really like that I can search the candidates very easily and change the stage.

Cons

\- We probably can improve more language support like resume titles or secondary application submission. - Can I see that the NPS has been sent to each managers and candidate? I would like to remind them to sumbit but as I don't know when they get exactly, I have less possibility to track.- Also I wish I could see the candidates by requisition as well(not just merely with postings). - I do hope that I can have some filter options in the requisition section like hiring managers, dates, titles etc. - How the requisition update date is defined? seems any interaction is regarded as update so I do not know how to track exactly.

We recently adopted Lever as our new ATS. At the beginning of our ATS search, we went through several demos with other systems, but Lever was the obvious choice for us right from the beginning. Not only did the system offer everything we needed from a new ATS, the customer service at Lever was top notch. \[sensitive content hidden\] was our Implementation Specialist. In my 14-15+ years, I can hands-down say that I have never received such exceptional customer service and support like I did with \[sensitive content hidden\]. not only is a Lever subject matter expert, but he is passionate about what he does and it shines through in every conversation. His response time is unmatched. I cannot say enough great things about Lever, and more specifically \[sensitive content hidden\] . Thanks for such a great product, with great support! I highly recommend Lever to anyone looking for a new ASTS.

This is a pro and a con - When processing a candidate for a role, it's good to be able to have visibility of what stages they're at with other roles they've applied to. But then it becomes a bit annoying when trying to process them for one role, but having to either decline or progress them for any other roles they've applied for, even if they aren't your roles.

Pros

\- I like the way Lever processes candidates (pipeline). It's straightforward to use. - Great visibility of candidate notes. - It's fast at updating across the system, good synchronisation. - I like the way the feedback works between Outlook/hiring managers email. - New interview feature to show if hiring managers have accepted their interview invitations. - We like that it integrates with DocuSign and Outlook, and the chrome extension for LinkedIn. - It's cloud-based so we can log in from anywhere. - Evan is awesome

Cons

\- We can't use bullet points in Offer forms because they don't format correctly in the final contract. - Formatting of job description (can't do bullet points) - It's challenging for hiring managers to find the 'approve' button when offer approval emails come through (it's at the bottom of the email and then it's not clear when they open the candidate's profile. - Could have more use of colour coding. - Hiring managers keep their access to individual profiles after their jobs have closed (then managers complain about receiving too many notifications) - There should be multiple Offer forms (for each of our locations for e.g.) -

As a project manager, I am assigned 10-15 projects a year, and 80% of these include a professional services engagement from a service partner like Lever. The professional services team led by \[sensitive content hidden\] was easily the best, smoothest, most competent engagement I’ve seen in years. Coming from a PS background myself, I know it’s tough to be in her role. But her rare combination of high organization, positive attitude and leadership style, product and process knowledge, ability to teach, and written and verbal communication was so effective that my role as client PM was limited to a few internal deliverables and resource gathering. A huge credit to the Lever team, we were able to kick off the project an implement in about 12 weeks, despite terrible delays on our side getting a contract together. This enabled our business leaders to still implement in Q2 as originally planned. \[sensitive content hidden\] also demonstrated tremendous professionalism and patience when I dropped a ball and she scrambled and accelerated her team to support us. On balance, our business community and we as a client overall were in truly strong, professional hands from start to finish, and our internal post mortem report lists “Lever Professional Services” as the #1 reason we thought the engagement went well. I’d recommend Lever software and professional services without hesitation of any kind to anyone.

As a firm, we are trying to get Lever to the point where it can be used as a comprehensive HR platform, including Recruiting, Talent Management, Performance Management and L&D. With that in mind, we are trying to integrate other relevant tools with Lever which would help achieve this goal.

Pros

Lever has a well integrated Candidate Managment platform whereby I can communicate with candidates via email, schedule interviews, capture feedback from the team as well as from the candidate, track the interview stages, and close/ archive candidates. I also like the "Recommendations" feature that selects similar candidate profiles from the database.

Cons

Until recently, I was having difficulty with generating offers from Lever. The process was a bit clunky and very manual. We had it automated and now it is much easier and faster. Also, the Boolean search could be improved.

Even in a few of the steps where we didn't follow the exact transition plan, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] went above and beyond to help us accomplish each of our goals on time if not sooner. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was an absolute pleasure and we wanted to be sure she received the credit she is due.

Pros

Our previous ATS had very limited integrations and reporting functionality so switching to Lever had been a great experience so we can have the data points we need for continued growth.

Cons

There are a few features that are not integrated throughout (like team wide Easybook links and some questionable aesthetic choices of gray text on a gray box) that make things a bit redundant/difficult but ultimately nothing that would slow down day to day activities.

Amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable support team. Great product. They really get it!

I always said I would build the perfect ATS someday as every system seems to be lacking something. Then I found Lever - it's like they read my mind every step of the way! What do I like? Ease of use - built from the perspective of a recruiter Fantastic implementation support (Mary is AMAZING and she knows her stuff!!!) Excellent and prompt customer service/support

Pros

Navigating Lever is extremely easy, you can work with their support team to customize how you break down your candidate pipeline so that hiring managers in the field who don't fully understand recruiting or the interview process, can easily jump in and still know where to go and what to do. Their Account Management and Support Teams are fantastic and extremely helpful! Their team truly cares about my company and wants us to grow and succeed. Additionally, they have been flexible with me on many different topics to make my experience better.

Cons

The reporting features need a bit of work, they get the job done, but you have to really dig in and experiment to fully understand how each report functions. It only pulls reports in lists of candidate info, would be nice if it gave me exportable hard numbers.

As a recent customer of Lever, we've just completed the implementation phase. It's been a very smooth onboarding experience, and we have received excellent support from \[sensitive content hidden\]. The posting and requisition process is simple, and we appreciate that custom fields can be created to support business needs and reporting.

Cons

As a new customer, there is nothing that we dislike about Lever at this time. One product suggestion is the ability to auto-email reports created through Data Explorer.

With our old process, the problem we ran into was that it was hard to collaborate with each other . As we scaled, we knew we needed a new solution and Lever was an easy choice. I've never seen the team so responsive and thorough in their use of an ATS before. If you want a seamless process and architecture that even your developers will appreciate, without spending a fortune, Lever is by far the best option. Huge shoutout to \[sensitive content hidden\]. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the implementation process.

Lever has been noting but great so far. Awesome implementation process, great features that cut our time spent recruiting in half, and overall a strong option for an ATS.

Pros

I enjoy the ability to visually see candidates move through the process by "owner" or recruiter.

You cannot import your email signature to email templates
