### "Top-notch ATS"

I have ~10 years of recruiting experience, Lever is by far the best ATS in my opinion. The pipeline-centric product was very intuitive, came with great functionality, including Google/ Slack/ DocuSign integration. Love the UI, easy to follow/ track our job postings and candidates. The UI was excellent, most of my team took very little time to get comfortable with this platform - a big boost for employee participation in recruitment. We have a very small recruiting team, Lever really made a huge difference to the way we manage the candidate journey. Bonus: Excellent sales and customer support team, it's always a joy to work with them!

Pros

The product was very intuitive, and came with great functionality, including Google/ Slack/ DocuSign integration. Love the pipeline design, easy to follow/ track our job postings and candidates. ### "Decent ATS"

Its a good ATS system overall and great with our recruitment efforts.

Pros

I really enjoy how easy it is to schedule interviews with people on your team, communication management and relative easy that you manage the candidate process with.

Cons

I think Lever is a decent software overall, but sometimes syncing can be an issue. Also, calendar sync can be an issue as well as mass mailings...

### "Applicant Tracking made EASY!"

Pros

Our old process involved tracking candidates by manually entering them into a spreadsheet. This led to many candidates falling through the cracks especially when we forgot to update the spreadsheet with the most recent status. The implementation of Lever was incredibly well-received by all staff and hiring managers which has led to increased responsiveness and feedback - ultimately streamlining our hiring process and reducing our time to fill. Our designated Implementation Specialist \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was so great to work with and made sure we were set up to succeed once implementation was completed. The functionality and ability to customize the platform is extensive and it integrates with many HRIS, Payroll, and SSO systems. (i.e. ADP & Okta in our case).

Cons

Limited automation features but they are being developed.

### "Not enough customization options for hiring managers"

While the UI is fairly simple and easy to use, the actual system itself didn't provide enough options for meeting my needs as a Hiring Manager. Even just adding a few more options around permissions and who can access what in the system and for which candidates would make a huge difference.

Pros

The UI is clean and straightforward. This definitely helps make navigating the actual system fairly simple and easy to do.

Cons

I'm not part of the team that implemented this system, but I was told by them that there weren't many options when it came to hiring manager permissions in the Lever system. This created problems when we grew into multiple tiers of hiring managers on our team and needed certain positions to have one level of access to candidates (that was a bit less than normal) and others to have a bit more. In addition, there seems to be a strange setting that alerts certain hiring managers of comments on certain candidates that have nothing to do with their department. So something seems to be off with the notifications as well.

Pros

Lever is a great tool for organizing and managing high-volume or niche recruitment pipelines. It also integrates well with complementary tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and various tech assessment platforms. Also,\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] in implementation was awesome support!

Cons

I am looking forward to future improvement in the data analytics capabilities of the platform. In its current state, the user experience does not feel intuitive or easy to navigate. One thing to consider would be how a recruitment manager would seek to track their team's progress. I know it's in its early stages so can't wait to see future releases!

We are able to collaborate as a team for hiring, and communicate effectively internally and with candidates on a single platform.

Pros

It is easy to sort candidates and roles. I love the email templating as well. I like how all of this happens in Lever and I don't have to go into an external application to email or contact applicants. Everything also integrates with Gcal.

Cons

Occasionally it is hard for me to sort candidates, I wish you could click on a column to sort. However, sorting is possible without clicking on column headers.

Pros

I have worked with several ATS providers, and Lever stands out to me as the best. The software is easy to navigate for recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers. The automations and integrations allow our talent acquisition team to recruit and hire very efficiently. Customer support is fast and helpful.

Cons

The analytics (for now) are not easy to read and take a lot of time to manipulate to get the data you want.

Pros

It's super intuitive, easy to use, and very efficient (you can do anything in it)

Cons

They have a problem with the calendar integration, but after you pass over it, it's a great tool. Also, their support is not super agile. You can contact them via chat only.

I liked the search functionality and the tagging.

Cons

When sending scheduling updates when there are more than one interviewer session per candidate, I only wanted the update sent to those who had a time change. I don't think there is capability to change this right now on Lever.

I like Lever in general, somewhat expensive, but good feature integration with email and calendars. Easy to use, though some functionality still suffers. Overall I'd say 3.5-4 stars out of 5. Especially considering I have never created an ATS and likely don't know what kind of effort is required to have some of these features corrected.

Pros

UI is nice, scheduling, manager/candidate/recruiter communication platform, customization of stages and email templates. Candidate categorization ...it's a great platform for less technical roles and if you have all the questions, feedback forms, and email templates in place it works well. The feedback reminders can be a good thing, but like any good thing, too much of a good thing can become a bad thing.

Cons

Adding feedback takes a few additional steps if not there, very manual process if the right feedback is not attached. Should be allowed to add feedback straight from that area, instead you have to click buttons or add a note.

An improved hiring and recruiting process.

Pros

It keeps everything hiring related in one organized, easy-to-use place. Lever provides great visibility around candidates both at a high level and a very detailed level. Lever allows our company to make better decisions when hiring by encouraging feedback and notes around candidates. The tools that are available in Lever are industry-wide best practices, and Lever makes them easy to use and implement.

Cons

The only con (which isn't even truly a con) is that it is a new process, so it takes some effort to get the internal team onboard. This would be true of any product though, and Lever does do an amazing job of providing training resources to make the adoption as easy as possible. My implementation specialist actually trained all of my hiring managers which was a huge help to me!

Overall, Lever has an easy to learn and intuitive interface that allows users of all experience levels to quickly learn the product. It integrates nicely with LinkedIn allowing the user to quickly pull candidate information. The limitations are in the search capabilities and customer support. Tickets were often left unanswered for extended periods of time and getting a meeting with a support rep was challenging.

Pros

Managing multiple reqs is a breeze and moving candidates through the pipeline is very intuitive. Takes very little training to pick up quickly if one is used to other ATS platforms.

Cons

The ability to search within the internal candidate database was extremely limited during my time of use. Boolean operators weren't functional and there were very few filters to help in your search.

Cons

The mobile integration is satisfactory but could be better. Whilst the mobile web browser is ok, I feel that a mobile app could take the platform to the next level.

As a scale-up in hypergrowth, we need to work on making more streamlined processes and capturing data accurately. It's all about saving time and focusing on the candidate experience.

Pros

Lever is a great centralized space for hiring and tracking. We've been able to customize and build out interview workflows for each department with built-in email templates that have been a time saver and super helpful for hiring managers and our TA team. It's streamlined our processes and has allowed us to focus most of our time on recruiting of different roles

Cons

I think that the UX/UI is a bit outdated and not super intuitive if I'm being honest. I would also like to see some more implementation of DE&I (or customization) into the applicant screening.

Pros

The best part about Lever is their front facing experience for Managers and Interviewers. The ability to review candidates, submit feedback, and schedule candidates is smooth for our internal / external stakeholders to use. Their support team is also very responsive and friendly on finding solutions.

Cons

The biggest pain point is the Lever Talent Intelligence (LTI) & Reporting functionality. While there is a lot of data, there is not an easy way to create and view reports using either in-app or LTI functions for our executive leaders to digest. There is a significant time commitment from our recruiting team to pull all the data into reports to show even basic KPIs in an easily digestible format for our executives and leaders. However, with that said, it is better than many other ATS platforms & their team is constantly working to improve thier products which is appreciated.

### "Terrible Customer Service"

Yet to be determined. They have a failing grade when it comes to whatever they call the response I am getting when I contact the Customer Service department.

Pros

I have to say, I was very impressed with every aspect of the software and we initially saw an uptick in the amount of hires over the first few weeks. The system is very easy to use and you truly are rewarded with results based on the initial investment in your setup. The options available for Nurture email campaigns truly drives candidates to our company.

Cons

The customer service fails at every point. First off, when you have an issue, the best option might be a LIve Chat, however you cannot "talk" to anyone to assist you with any issue. Email might be a secondary option, but don't hold your breath. There is no accountability to resolve an outstanding issue. I had recently changed an email to online exchange with Microsoft to expand the capability which is recommended. Since Lever has made that change, we have been unable to use the system and there is no integration with emails and our schedule. It is now going on 48 hours since we have identified the issue and still there is no resolve, nor does there seem to be any urgency to resolve this issue.

I think it's been great! Honestly, I've been happy with Lever and my customer support has always been able to help me via the chat box

Pros

It looks clean, minimalist design and it works! It tracks applicants, stores notes, easily accessible by people who "follow" a job and can view all candidates. Has easy "reminder" functions to enter feedback. Everything can be customized.

Cons

It's easy to add templates - but to remove you need to contact support and they remove it from the backend. There is no live person to chat on the phone with, everything is done through a chat box (which is fine with me, but other teammates don't like it) I'm not a fan of the analytics, but my company prefers to keep their own since we have multiple offices/locations that use Lever and we can't all rely on different offices for using the same functions.

Pros

1\. I love the customized pipeline. My pipeline has a lot of stages, built just for me and each morning I can see exactly which candidates are in Outreach Day 1, Outreach Day 2, etc. I can see, at a glance, which calls I need to make that day and on one screen I have everything I need - phone, email address, resume, my prescreen notes, etc. 2. Huge fan of adding tags to each candidate, I can see this down the road, as being a critical piece of contacting past candidates for the city/state I'm recruiting for. 3. Directly emailing candidates and managers from the ATS has been fantastic, I already have a gazillion templates established, and I use that feature on a daily basis. Love this feature! I also really appreciate the @mention feature in the Notes section to get my Hiring Manager's attention. 4. Integration, Integration, Integration! Have I mentioned the integration with the job boards? LOVE IT!

Cons

1\. Our forms are very formatted and structured, migrating our lengthy interview forms into the feedback function has taken some work and re-working. 2. The candidate is unable to "register" on our website to receive alerts when a position opens up that they are qualified for. 3. The calendar/scheduling function was geared around Google calendars, we are on Outlook, so we would like to see the visual training guides revised to be more inclusive.

Cons

I would only ask for even more customization options. The ability to have more customizable tokens for emails would be very helpful.

Pros

We like the ease of use, logical and clean interface both for the candidates and internal professionals. We also are extremely happy with the ability to keep track and analyze our processes. As we are dispersed over 25 countries, Lever makes collecting data simple and straightforward. The scheduling function has been greeted with enthusiasm and we believe we have saved quite a lot of time through this functionality. Lever enables us to have a clear picture of the whole process starting with creating the requisition and ending with offer making - we can actually see our shortcomings and things we do well. Previously we were struggling with getting feedback on candidates from the interviewers and Lever has made it extremely easy to share it as it also reminds you of the need to do this. Customer support is helpful and quick and we feel all our thoughts or suggestions are taken seriously. We are also happy to see that our referral system continued to work in Lever and now the referrers can actually check the status of the referee - this is a great tool.

Cons

We can't customize everything! Or was it a good thing? Initially we had problems setting up user groups with correct access rights as we were not 100% sure of the exact rights (although these were described in Lever in detail), we gained the security through experiencing - that was the best option.

Pros

I love that it is so user friendly. My previous ATS was really clunky, and there seemed to be a variety of ways to do the same thing - therefore I was constantly worried about consistency and reliability of the reports I was running and the data I was using. Lever works seamlessly with Gmail, it allows me to reduce the admin time involved in the interview process through automation and in-built scheduling tools, and I really enjoy having the ability to empower my hiring managers by giving them access to all the information, stats (time to hire etc) they need, on demand, directly. Lever has given our recruitment process an additional level of transparency and accessibility that is invaluable. I also love Lever Nurture. I strongly believe that talent acquisition professionals should be effective marketers - and the ability to include and leverage my ATS as part of employer brand and EVP communications is brilliant. If I have any questions, customer service is always very helpful and quick to respond.

One of the most appealing features of Lever is the visibility it provides to candidate sources. Recruiters can see at a glance where the best candidates originate from, and the system makes it simple to search through candidates to identify the finest. The application may also be used to schedule many interviews over the course of a week.

Cons

The user interface, according to some customers, might be a bit crowded at times, making it difficult to discover information fast. At this time, Lever does not have a mobile app. Support response times have been criticized by several consumers.

recruiting was so amazing with lever! all the members of our team could have access and vision into what was going on. collaboration on resume and candidate review made easy. especially for high-volume positions, organizing the pipeline was a breeze.

Pros

intelligent search bar always brings me my most relevant search results (like candidates i've already viewed or have applied to my team's positions), very robust user permissions (limit by posting, department, status, etc), calendar sync & email sync (everything you send to a candidate will sync with gmail and creating calendar invites will full agendas and context is EASY in lever), robust pipeline functionality, sections for notes on candidates with built-in rating system (1-4 from strong no-hire to strong hire). customizable email templates where you can save attachments or default the reply to address save so much time! i adopted lever with no training at all. took me 30 minutes to fully understand how the platform functions and how it can cater to my specific needs.

Cons

the only con at all is that they do not integrate with wonderlic, which is an industry standard screening tool so i hope that they integrate soon!

Fantastic. The sales rep was great, the implementation rep was great. They listened and were very helpful at answering questions along the way.

Pros

The user interface. It is very intuitive and makes using the tool easy for Interviewers and and Hiring Managers who may not be in the tool everyday. I like the workflow/pipeline capabilities, the correspondence option including being able to delay sending which is useful with candidate rejections. The Easy book link and Google sync options make scheduling interviews a breeze. There are great reporting functionality. The capability to export candidate profiles from LinkedIn. Employee referral options are easy.

Cons

Feedback forms don't allow for formatting (i.e. bullets and bold). More access to free job boards
