"1 year using Korona "

**Overall:** I am 1 year into using Korona. It's been "ok". When I say I spent probably 100 hours on the phone last year, I truly mean it. Customer service was always willing to help, but every single time we knocked one problem out, another would arise. I think it's been about a month now that I haven't had to call, so we are improving. Doing payroll or a "time summary reports" takes at least 20-30 clicks to verify everyone's time is correct as you have to open each persons time tracking entries separately, if they miss a clock out, it will add their hours up until midnight. Printing labels from your POS is non existent, for a program built for retail, I don't understand that. In order to print a label from the back office, it takes 10 clicks and dragging around a laptop, a label printer and a scanner. If a price tag falls off, or a new item comes in, your employees can't just print a label. Searching products isn't easy either. If I'm looking up barefoot, I can't sort it by size. I also can't see the price without opening the product, so if I want to check and make sure that all Barefoot 750's are priced the same, I have to click on every single product to see it, instead of just looking at a list broken down by size and price. Same thing with checking margins.. there's no quick way to do it. If I want to look at what was sold last night- that's also not very efficient. You have to go to sales, click on receipts and then open up every receipt individually, a list of items sold with prices would be much better. Stock adjustments- also a million clicks. I can't just click on an item and change stock, you have to create a whole stock adjustment, add items, then save and book. This makes it easy to see all adjustments, but it's more time and more work. The POS terminal only lets you view the last 15 receipts. Why? If you need to look another one up, you've got to find the receipt number in the back office and then come back up and enter it in. Korona does not have a good age check system, it clears the screen, but shows you no info after you scan the ID, so you're just stuck thinking "I guess that worked?".. it also does not store the information you scan, so there is no way to verify whether employees are checking/scanning IDs. Customer service on nights and weekends is limited to 1 or 2 people, so if they get a doozy, you're sitting on hold for who knows how long during your busiest sales times. If I want to check sales on all of my Coors products, I can't just type in Coors and see which products sold or how many, you have to again open up every single product and run a product report. In the end, it does what I need it to do, but it doesn't do it quickly or efficiently. I would give it a 3 out 5 only because it's a quick running system and doesn't have a ton of errors. But if I could have a magic genie come in and set me up on a new system that ran more efficiently I would do it in a heartbeat... I just don't want to spend another year building a system, building inventory, pricing, costs, pack sizes and conversions... I've spent way too many hours on it, but I can't say I love it.

**Pros:** The POS terminal runs fairly quickly most of the time. Their customer service agents are knowledgeable and able to fix problems as they arise.

**Cons:** Last year I spent countless hours on the phone with Korona with an insane amount of problems, while in the end they were able to fix the issues, the amount of time it took was unacceptable.

**Alternatives Considered:** [Toast POS](https://www.capterra.com/p/136301/Toast-POS/)

**Reasons for Choosing KORONA POS:** I thought it would do everything I needed.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, we truly appreciate your honesty and the time you put into writing this. Several of the workflows you described have solutions you may not be aware of yet. Your sizes are already imported as tags, making it easy to filter your product list and use the Set Prices function to view and edit pricing and margins across all matching products at once. No need to open each one. Brand tags can also be added for Coors-style searches. Our Volume report, and others, show exactly what sold, at what price, and in what quantity for any time frame with no receipt-clicking needed. The 15-receipt POS display limit can be expanded for your account upon request. The ID scan system is pass/fail by design. If the transaction advances, the ID passed. We can't do your feedback justice in this character limit, so we'll be following up with a detailed email. We're glad things have improved and look forward to helping you get even more out of the software. The KORONA Team
